Principessa Mafalda

If I could give this place 20/10 for service, I would. When we arrived at the location, we were in a complete state of panic as we thought we had been scammed by the gas station up the road. After checking us in (a few hours early), the receptionist kindly accompanied us back to the gas station and helped us translate between Italian and English, clarifying the misunderstanding of the situation. This was exceptional service and kindness we were not expecting. The room itself was incredibly luxurious - we actually had 2 bedrooms (family suite) for 2 people. The walk-in wardrobe was a delightful surprise, although we didn't stay long enough to enjoy it. As we were both working while on holiday, the study desk in each room gave us the privacy and space to do our meetings and work independently. The bar fridge was useful for us to store our salads, snacks and bottled drinks. The bed was super comfortable and we had a very restful sleep. The pillows were also the right height. Thankfully, there was air conditioning - our previous hotel did not. We slept like babies. The bathroom had all the amenities, including a hairdryer which is essential for me. Best for last - breakfast the next morning was an absolute feast. The continental style breakfast spread was generous and we indulged in pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits and marvellous coffee. I believe everything is baked fresh in house. As we checked out, we were even gifted a bag of pastries to take on our journey with us. <3 I highly recommend this place, and I am ever grateful to the wonderful hospitality we enjoyed here.
Suite del Ponte Normanno

I really enjoyed my stay despite some minor issues. The suite was modern, well designed, clean with comfortable mattress and sheets. We were few minutes walk to Palermo Central Train/ Bus station, so when traffic is high, no need to take a cab and be stressed, you just pick up your luggage and walk. The property manager was very nice to us. The area was a bite odd, but I felt safe. Please note it would have been better to return before 22:30 if you were on foot. I travelled with my mum and my kid so I certainly needed an elevator. You have to give the door a Hard Push either to the elevator or your suite room and everything will be fine. I had one day an issue with the shower as the drain was clogged and a lot of water went onto the floor, my mum tried to fix it with some towels. As a Civil Eng., I understand that some technical workers did not do properly their work and I do respect someone else property, so I immediately sent a message to the manager to fix it. In the meanwhile I showered in the small bathroom we had in order to save time and enjoying our holiday. On our return it was fixed. Finally, Palermo is an very interesting city with friendly people and I particularly enjoyed my double cappuccino at Gran Cafe TORINO and dinner at SciuRum restaurant.

State alla larga.
Villa Concordia

The owner is very friendly and helpful. He recommended the Agora cafe which was so good we visited multiple times. The beautiful garden and private parking is a bonus. Our room had a private outside space which was lovely to have. The location is quiet, away from the main road. It is worth mentioning that the approach is an uninspiring main street but when you enter the gates of the Villa Concordia and find that the drive to the Valley of the Temples is very short it all makes sense. It is worth a trip into the old town, we had a really lovely meal in the restaurant Krokos. The buses don't run late so if you are looking for a taxi back to the villa, we used Taxi Agrigento H24 Tony Palermo who was excellent.
Luxury Catania

Catania City Center
The location is very good, really near from the tourist attractions. It is also surrounded with restaurants and bars. The big local market is just right to the next street. The neighborhood may look odd from the beginning but it is safe. The bed is comfortable. This is a free breakfast place, but the breakfast options are the easy to go ones. The owner doesn’t speak English but can work with google translate. He also offers a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel for €20. The walls are so thin so you can hear everything outside of your bedroom. This is most likely ideal for young people as the place is in front of different bars, so, it is very loud during the evening until 1 in the night.
B&B Camelot

-Location: the hotel is located in a downtown neighborhood but close to tourist attractions -Service: the biggest issue we encountered was to check in the hotel upon arrival. Since there is no reception at the building, you’re supposed to contact the hotel owner, William, by phone for getting the keys. However, the breakfasts there were lovely with scenic rooftop view and handmade beverages by the caterer -Cleanliness: the room is generally clean but there’s no daily cleaning service and windows need to be opened to dispel odors -Amenities: the best part of the hotel’s amenities was that they got a water dispenser for refilling your water bottles *the staff there only speak Italian

Interesting and central place.Complete comfort room even if a further couch wasn't bad.Excellent welcome with coffee, sweets etc... The only bad to be reported is the lack of privacy between the shower and wc with the room because Then we will return to the world.

Borgo Vecchio
San Marciano

The room is small but clean, and you get what you need (hairdryer and shower stuff). The breakfast time is very early and not much a variety of food so we skipped mostly. The location is very close to the Neapolis Archaeological Park but I would prefer to live somewhere closer to Ortigia next time as there are more restaurants and activities going on there. Especially if you don’t have a car, you will have to walk 20+ minutes there which is a torture to walk during the cruel summer. If you want to do laundry, nothing nearby. Also no reception so you will have to call the number upon arrival and wait for the lady to come.
Bed & Breakfast S. Elia
5/53 Reviews
I have been living more or less permanently since November 2022 in the wonderful B&B S. Elia masterfully managed by the owner Marco and his very valid right-hand man Maurizio. The structure is equipped with all comforts. The rooms are large and all have spacious en-suite bathrooms. Excellent quality linen. Comfortable beds and an infinite variety of types of pillows suitable for every habit. The rooms, like the whole structure, are adorned with furniture and paintings and equipped with radiators and air conditioning. In the common area there is a kitchen with crockery and pans, a microwave oven, a kettle, a coffee machine with a truly exceptional cappuccino function. The structure is located in a countryside area not far from the hospital. Immersed in nature and silence with a breathtaking view of San Cataldo. The B&B is frequented by really nice people (as much as it is true that the clientele determines the way the business is managed). In fact, the hosts, in addition to being very polite, very respectful, know how to put their guests at ease even by spoiling them. Highly recommended structure.
