Came here on a popular weekend, the hotel was fully booked.
The location is easy to find with navigation.
Parking is available at the guesthouse, though the alley can be a bit tricky to navigate. Since we drove, but parking was a hassle, we mostly used taxis to get around.
The street outside is full of wholesale shops and is constantly congested. There are also many late-night food stalls in the evening.
The room was very clean, and the showerhead was large with great water pressure, making for a comfortable shower (though it's an electric water heater, so it only supports one person showering at a time; the second person has to wait).
Shampoo and shower gel (P&G Rejoice brand) were provided.
There’s also a rooftop where you can dry clothes, which is very convenient!

After exploring Panlong Ancient Road and returning to National Highway 314, we arrived at the wetlands within minutes, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. The tent facilities provided excellent comfort, ensuring a very good rest. We didn't bother going to the town across the way and opted to dine at the hotel's restaurant; the food was decent, and the staff quietly waited for us to finish at our leisure. It was a pity we didn't get to see the 'golden mountains' (sunlit snow peaks) in the morning, but being able to observe the snowy peaks from inside the tent without enduring the cold wind outside was a great alternative. For the home visit, a local young man named Saifeike Tagamili took us to his old house and resettlement home. He even let us pet an 8-day-old calf and stroke a sheep's rear end. He was very amusing and made the experience especially enjoyable.
The owner was incredibly warm and hospitable, going out of his way to help with luggage and open doors. This guesthouse has a very distinctive local charm, and I absolutely loved the beautiful decor. The rooms were clean, and the facilities were fully equipped – you can even do laundry and cook! There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's conveniently located not far from Kashgar Old City and Xiangfei Park. This place offers excellent value for money; don't hesitate to book, as it fills up fast!
This hotel is amazing, with great staff and services. It’s well located with enough shops nearby if you need snacks. It’s also a few minutes drive from the Karez Garden experience and near other activities, such as the market. The site where the hotel is located is at a new place that imitates that of an ancient Uyghur city so it’s an attraction on its own. The room was very clean and comfortable, with all ameneties needed. I want to point out that the staff was very friendly and kind, and it was a real pleasure staying there. I will be staying there again if I return to Turpan and I will recommend the place to my friends. Thank you very much!
The B&B's location is excellent, right next to Guizi Alley and just across the river from Hestian Old Street. It's a short walk to the Kuche Grand Mosque and the Prince's Palace. The exterior of the rooms is designed in a minimalist style, reminiscent of ancient residences, while the interior is fully equipped and comfortable. There's also a private parking lot, making it very car-friendly.

hotel is very well designed with local authentic style, very convenient to get in because it is close to the south gate of ancient town. The receptionist is very helpful, very friendly, the first day when we arrived the hotel sent receptionist to the gate to help us carry our luggages and took us inside. This is the ancient town so you need to get luggages checked through security scanning machine. The ancient town is very beautiful and it is a must visit when you come to South Xinjiang. In general we feel very comfortable and convenient to stay in this home stay. First night as the hotel was full so we had to stay in a small room, but when we came back after several days they provided us a big room, I can feel their care to the guests and tried to serve at their best

Lovely hotel in great location. Rooftop area which looked over the back of the show outside the ancient town area. Breakfast upon request was delivered in small takeaway boxes. Cute but a lot of plastic waste. However the rooms had the big water dispensers in with the kettle attached which was great. Shower area had big shared bottles of shampoo etc., which was also great 😊
Our stay at the Shar Starry Sky Glamping camp in Karajun Grassland was a truly rejuvenating and luxurious experience! The camp is nestled in the core area of a World Natural Heritage site, offering breathtaking views. From our window, we could see vast grasslands and continuous snow-capped mountains – the scenery was absolutely stunning.
The starry dome we stayed in was incredibly impressive. It offered unobstructed panoramic views, allowing us to watch the grassland sunset right from our bed. At night, with no city light pollution, the Milky Way was clearly visible, and the provided telescope made stargazing super convenient – the kids absolutely loved it.
Both the owner and the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, responding 24/7. They even offered stargazing explanations. The camp provides excellent privacy, with ample space between each room, making it quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was rich and authentic, featuring traditional flatbread (nang) and fresh milk – the grassland cuisine was delicious. Away from the hustle and bustle, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the view of snow-capped mountains – this is what a true luxury wilderness getaway should be. Highly recommended!
Amazing hostel! Beautiful building and a very inviting common area. Everyone is talking to each other, it’s so easy to meet people :) I wish I could have stayed longer.
Unfortunately they don’t accept foreigners anymore :(
The room is nice, the yard is clean, there is a garden, an area for drying clothes, a restaurant, and there is a front desk guy who is almost my grandfather's age, and he is very smooth when checking in. Seeing that he is older, he is super enthusiastic to help a few of us carry our luggage! ! ! ! Being warmed! Starry Sky Room is really recommended! You can really see the stars at night. The only thing is that you are woken up by the dazzling sunlight in the middle of your sleep! (I tried to pass the test at night and couldn’t do it because it was too late, so I didn’t bother)

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.
My first time at the Shire Stargazing Luxury Campground was an absolute delight! 🌌 Surrounded by forests with fresh air, the stargazing rooms were clean, spacious, and exquisitely equipped with comfortable bedding. At night, the starry sky was breathtaking, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided excellent service. Dinner was delicious, and the campground was a peaceful and romantic escape from the hustle and bustle. Five-star recommendation, I'll definitely be back!
This was easily one of the best stays during my Northern Xinjiang trip. The host and staff were incredibly warm and made the place feel just like home. Surrounded by fresh air and a tranquil, peaceful setting, the environment was perfect for relaxing. A highlight was when the host even accompanied us to a hidden gem nearby, which made the experience truly memorable. If I could give more stars, I absolutely would—this stay exceeded all expectations.
We had a wonderful time staying here. The place is stunning with a perfect location to explore the beauty of Kashgar’s old town. Many thanks to the lovely hosts for their warm welcome. We will definitely book again here.
Facilities: The bathroom facilities are quite new, and the beds are generally soft. It would be even better if there were a slightly higher cervical pillow. The room is cleaned daily and the sheets are changed every two days. My own toiletries and conditioner were very helpful. The loft has a humidifier upstairs and an air purifier downstairs, and the underfloor heating is excellent! Service: Thank you to the butler for the meticulous and thoughtful service these past few days. They regularly reminded me to book the shuttle to the ski resort on time. They also helped my sister and me with our luggage. Thank you! Environment: Look at the pictures, it's absolutely gorgeous! Food: Also very good, with a variety of local specialties. Thumbs up!

The room facilities were excellent, and the butlers were very responsive to all our requests. Breakfast was top-notch for Hemu standards, and the afternoon tea upon check-in, as well as the hot desserts every evening, were all very good. 👍

Thanks for the incredible stay! Wish we had more time to explore the activities. Loved the ambience and there were even lambs roaming around in front of our door.

Right in the old city. Perfect location next to the main gate so it’s not too far to walk from a taxi. All of the food and action is right outside the doorstep.
AAbctaoabcThe hotel's location, environment, hygiene, and service are all very good, and the decoration has ethnic flavor. There is an electric heater at night, and the quilt is very warm. The hotel also provides free Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings and milk, which is very cozy.
