GGuest UserAs a German backpacker traveling through China on a budget, I’ve stayed in many hostels and budget hotels — and Fuyuan Inn in Dandong was honestly one of the best value stays I’ve had on my entire trip. The location is absolutely perfect. Being directly next to the river was one of the best parts of staying here. You can easily walk along the riverside, enjoy the views, and it’s especially beautiful at night. It also makes exploring Dandong very convenient. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed. The owners were unbelievably kind, warm, and helpful. Even as a foreign traveler, they made everything very easy for me. What completely surprised me was that the owner even gave me a free tour around the area, which was such a generous gesture and made my experience in Dandong much more memorable and personal. Another thing I really appreciated was that they actually let me choose between a smoking room and a non-smoking room — a small detail, but it shows they care about guest comfort. The room itself was extremely clean and far better equipped than I expected for this price range. It came with a TV, toothbrushes, soap, good shampoo, and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Everything felt very clean, organized, and well maintained. And honestly, for the price, I cannot complain about a single thing. It’s amazing value for money. The biggest highlight though was definitely the owners. They are some of the friendliest people I’ve met during my travels — genuinely caring, welcoming, and incredibly hospitable. If you’re coming to Dandong and want an affordable place in a perfect riverside location with spotless rooms and amazing hosts, book Fuyuan Inn. I would 100% stay here again.

Literally built within the walls of the Shenyang palace, an easy 5 minute walk down the main street to the Shenyang Imperial Palace and Huaiyuanmen station just outside the palace walls. The room was immaculate with brand new furnishing as the hotel seems to be newly renovated with an Art Deco vibe. For the price you couldn't ask for any more. An absolute joy to stay at, the front desk service was immensely helpful with advice and even offered to wash and dry my clothes upon request on the first night. Couldn't be happier and will return, thank you so much!

Breakfast, cooking and supermarket are all available downstairs. You can sit on the terrace and watch the fireworks show in the evening, which is very comfortable.

GGuest UserLet me start by saying this: it's my first business trip to Dalian, and this is the second hotel I've stayed at – both have been excellent! How can the service be so good? I'm in love with Dalian! The location is superb, very close to Xinghai Square, and right by the seaside as soon as you step out. During my stay, I added the butler's WeChat, so I could conveniently message them for anything I needed. When I arrived, the front desk staff helped me with my luggage to my room, and I even received a welcome afternoon tea. There aren't many rooms on each floor, so it's very quiet, and the room itself is comfortable! The bed is neither too soft nor too hard, I slept so well. The curtains are automated with a button, the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the bath towels are thick. I usually bring my own toiletries when I travel, but I actually used the shampoo here and it was fantastic – left my hair fragrant and smooth. Very satisfied!

GGuest UserI really have to say a few words. When traveling with my baby, I usually opt for hotels because they tend to be cleaner, but this guesthouse has completely changed my mind! First off, the environment is clearly well-maintained—super clean and tidy! The staff are incredibly helpful and responsive to every request; they even seemed a little embarrassed by some of our troubles. My baby didn't want to leave! Everyone, just go for it!

黒黒兎黒猫The location is great and transportation is very convenient! I was very happy to find a microwave! There's a projector, but it's almost invisible during the day. I think a regular TV would be better. The toilet's exhaust fan is broken. It would be helpful if it could be fixed soon.

There's security downstairs, so no unauthorized people can get in without a key card, which made me feel really safe. I was on a high floor, so the night view of Shenyang was absolutely stunning. Plus, there's a snack street right downstairs with plenty of delicious food options. Overall, I had a great experience!
