Suzhou Homestays

I was attracted by Xiaohongshu and booked a homestay on Xishan Hengshan Island for the National Day holiday on Ctrip 2 months in advance. After placing the order, the owner of the homestay took the initiative to create a WeChat group, sent the self-driving parking location, and introduced the nearby dining and travel guide in detail. On the day of arrival, the owner personally came to the parking lot to pick me up, which was very considerate. The room of the homestay faces Taihu Lake, and the first-line lake view can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The environment is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The lake and mountains are vast and the breeze is so comfortable. The oval swimming pool is seamlessly connected to Taihu Lake. The transparent glass boat is very good. The hot spring pool is also very comfortable, and the island vacation feeling is full. When night falls, the homestay is gently illuminated by lights, like a fairyland. The room is equipped with a 100-inch projection, electric curtains, bathtub, L'Occitane washing and care, Dyson hair dryer, drinks and fruits, breakfast has Western food and soup noodles, and white porridge is cooked according to our requirements. The dinner set meal of Taihu Three Whites + Water Shield and Shredded Pork Soup added temporarily during the holiday is fresh and delicious. Every detail reflects the care of the homestay owner. On the last day, the lady boss asked us about our next stop and reminded us of the restrictions on driving outside the scenic spot, so we changed our itinerary in time and checked in at the popular cafe that we had been eyeing for a long time. This trip to Xishan ended perfectly. I look forward to the opportunity to visit Kanas B&B again in the winter when there are red-billed gulls.

Generally speaking, it is good. The proprietress has put a lot of effort into the design and some daily necessities. However, there are a few details that need to be improved. The breakfast is too simple, a bowl of small wontons ➕ poached eggs ➕ a little fruit and a small glass of milk, the taste is very ordinary, the small wonton skin is too thick and tastes like raw flour sandwiched. The smart toilet in the room is very noisy at night, and it makes a beeping sound when you sit on it. The washbasin is too low...it's uncomfortable to brush your teeth and wash your face. There is a rule that no food is allowed in the room. I think this is a bit difficult. Although it is understandable that most of the room layout and design are white, the store is probably afraid that it will not be easy to take care of. There are not many parking spaces at the door, next to the trash can, the smell is too smelly.

設施：就在同裏古鎮裏面，晚上過去住特別安逸舒服，平常想躲清凈也可以來住，很方便，設施很齊全！ 衞生：房間很乾凈，床也很乾凈！ 服務：老闆人特別特別好，會騎車到門口接行李，走的時候也會送，落東西了還幫忙找，是特別善良可愛的小哥哥！ 環境：普通週末去的！人不多，特別好看特別出片！民宿周圍都是特別美麗的小橋流水！

Walking distance from train station BUT very easily missed as the entrance is along an alleyway. Recommend to take Didi to the place as the path from the station is very uneven, making it a hassle for luggages. Room size depends on which room you get. If you get the room that’s not in the main building, it can be quite small (and slightly old). Location wise, its very convenient as it’s walking distance to Suzhou’s attraction. Will recommend if you’re staying for a short period.

I went on a trip with my friends and brought our kids. There were three mother-daughter pairs. One of them booked the Shangri-La five-star hotel. I looked at it and found that the room I booked was no worse than theirs. Our room could also see Jinji Lake, and the scenery was superb. The scenery was grand and clean, and the facilities were complete. There were cooking and laundry facilities, but who would cook when going out to play! However, we used the washing machine, which was very clean. If I had known this, I would not have brought so many sets of clothes 😁. The housekeeper was very good and responded to any request no matter how late it was. It was just a little bad. The floor was high and the elevator took a long time to wait. I won't say more. The experience my family had at this hotel was nothing short of complete excellence! The location, price and quality of the hotel was 10/10! Ideal for a family or individuals/couples. But the thing that stood out the most, was the hosts! Whilst we had to use translation tools to communicate, they went above and beyond anything I've ever expected or thought a host would do. We had a private tour of the old town, with many recommendations for the best restaurants and sights to see. They handled buying the entry tickets for the sightseeing and even cooked us homemade dumplings (which were so delicious!). We needed last minute diapers, and I was taken to the supermarket on the scooter. I could list the many many things they did for us, but that would be multiple review pages, suffice it to say, this was the best experience I've ever had, in any accommodation that I've ever stayed in and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. My only regret was that we couldn't stay for longer!

One-on-one butler service, we were very satisfied with the whole process. Any needs were met as soon as possible. The room types were all to our liking. When booking a room, there is an experience service of Yumo Travel Photography. I would like to express my great gratitude to the staff of Yumo Travel Photography, because this experience requires an appointment in advance, but I only consulted temporarily after arriving at the hotel, and the lady was also the first one. He helped us arrange the shooting work in no time. The photographer was also very professional and gave us guidance on shooting actions, etc. He provided enthusiastic service throughout the whole process.
