Hotels With Gym in Lancashire, United Kingdom

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and had no toilet roll or towels in. Tv didn’t work on the wifi or normal tv channels. There looks like there has been a leak and chunks of concrete were loose under the window-ledge. The positives were the Sea view and tower view from the room and the power in the shower was great. The room did also have a fan, an Iron and board, safe and hair dryer. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car park was fine for £7 and you could park until midnight on the day of check-out. The room in general was dated and in need of an uplift, but it was ok for a base for 1 night.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Thurnham Hall. The person who checked us in on the Sunday was very pleasant and welcoming. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after. The Spa and pool were excellent. Thank you for providing such a lovely hotel for us to stay at and spend time visiting with our Lancashire relatives.

The Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

Very clean room. Amenities were excellent and staff helpful. Despite emails suggesting I needed an app for the key to the property I was provided with a key card, which I preferred. Excellent value.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Photos attached for reference.

Very convenient location, for the motorway and into Lancaster for meals out. We were happy with our room, but the sofa bed was not really suitable for two. Next time we’d make sure to book a two double bed family room. Great pool and lovely breakfast

The hotel room didn't have enough storage for the three of our clothes. The towels weren't replaced every day which I find very poor. Also there was a mark on one of the towels and my mum actually found it rolled up and put back into storage in bathroom. This was extremely poor. The staff were really nice and friendly. I found the hotel to be clean. However, due to heatwave and lack of clean towels I find this really poor service. The breakfast had a good variety and was nice. It was also close to south pier but really good location.

Excellent stay, excellent dinner, excellent spa experience and breakfast buffet that is second to none! The Mecure really do know how to provide a great customer experience and every single staff member is courteous, polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are enormous and if you are lucky enough to get a courtyard one, your eyes are in for a treat. Sue and Lucy in the spa are marvellous and even the chambermaid staff, especially Deborah worked with a smile and was helpful with directions. If you stay in a courtyard room you will understand why directions are needed. 😀. All in all I had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day stay!

This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again it did not disappoint. I first stayed here last August with my family, and this time I returned with my husband for a peaceful getaway. The calm, relaxing atmosphere made our stay truly enjoyable. A lovely place to unwind, and we would happily come back again.

Budget hotel, but entrance, corridors and reception areas in very good decorative order. It was a cut above the usual motorway service hotel, had its own car park and alternative entrance / exit road in addition to access via the motorway. Comfortable bed and a good quiet nights sleep.
