Kalev Spa Hotel & Waterpark

Tallinn Old Town
Stayed here with the husband and two kids (4 and 8) for just a night as we were hotel hopping in Tallinn. I'd recommend this hotel for families. The access to the waterpark and buffet breakfast comes with the hotel room. Andy in the reception is incredibly helpful. They speak several languages. To us, English and Finnish works. I booked two rooms and got a chance to upgrade to two rooms with a connecting door fornonly €20 which is great for families with children. Note that they also have sauna, a spa with massage and beauty treatments, a playroom for children (free), on top of their waterpark. They gave my kids a free drawing pad/coloring book and coloring materials. The breakfast is great with a good selection of food for different diets. If you have allergy and diet restrictions, there surely is an option for you. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the cruise terminal. And a neighbor to a good selection of restaurants and the Tallinn Old Town. It's a stone's throw away from museums and the public transport. The only thing we noticed was during breakfast, the service team (waitresses, perhaps) don't smile at all. Felt a bit unwelcome there but not a big deal to us who stayed only a night. Maybe I am used to the common hospitality industry smiles especially for a 4-star hotwl but maybe it's normal in this culture - I'm not sure. Overall, I'd still recommend this for families. The kids will love this place. There's a special place for them in the hotel.
Metropol Hotel

The Metropol Hotel is located near Old Town (most of the museums, churches and government buildings are located here). It is also near the ferry port; I would recommend visitors to Tallinn to take the two-hour ferry journey to Helsinki. There are two distinct parts to the hotel: the Metropol Spa Hotel (a 4 star hotel with spa and swimming poo)l and the Metropol Hotel (a 3-star hotel). The staff in the Metropol Hotel are very friendy, the rooms are spacious and one can purchase breakfast for €11. I recommend this hotel to visitors

The room is clean and relative new. Breakfast is basic. The hotel restaurant was almost empty during lunch and still I had to wait forever to be served and for my order to be taken. The waitress was aware I entered the restaurant. That's a pity as the food was good.
Park Inn by Radisson Meriton Conference Spa Tallin

I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel and had a mostly positive experience. The location is fantastic, being close to the old town, major tourist attractions, and a variety of restaurants. The highlight of the hotel is the Sky Lounge on the 26th floor, which offers stunning 360-degree views of the city. I highly recommend visiting at sunset and for night views – it’s incredible. The hotel also features a bar and a restaurant on the ground floor, and I appreciated the complimentary water bottles and the coffee and tea selection in the rooms. Hotel rooms are comfortable. Additionally, there's a small area near the reception where you can get free water, snacks, and fruits, which is a nice gesture not commonly found in other hotels. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they offer a free luggage room. The staff was really helpful throughout my stay. However, the room service was disappointing; the cleaner didn’t spend enough time cleaning the room or bathroom properly. On a positive note, we tried the spa, which is excellent. If you buy a coupon at the hotel reception, it costs €10, compared to €25 at the spa counter. The spa features a nice pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel and would recommend it.

Mercure Tallinn

The hotel is newly renovated, clean and tidy, the front desk is friendly and the breakfast is rich. From the perspective of environmental protection, the hotel does not provide disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste and slippers, but provides a large bottle of free mineral water. The hotel is about an 8-minute walk from the airport. There is a large shopping mall across the road next to it, which has everything to eat, drink and play, and a large supermarket. There is a bus stop on the side of the road at the door. You can take bus No. 2 to the old town of Tallinn. You can swipe your credit card directly on the bus, 0.9 euros.

The location was excellent, very close to the old town. The room was good but only a view of glass wall. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was good but we felt it was overpriced.
