Amazing hotel! As a frequent traveler, I find myself in a lot of different hotels all around the world, and I must say that this was one of my best hotel experiences! The staff are extremely welcoming and kind, the rooms and public areas are beautiful and spacious, great pool and spa, definitely recommended for anyone visiting Bansko!

The hotel is a gem. We stayed for 5 nights in Dec 2024. You can tell that the company or owner has invested lots of time and money to create this result. Excellent quality of materials the rooms are spacious and the setup was beautiful. They gave us a fantastic family room, with very comfortable beds and was very clean. Now the downsides. Except for the housekeeping department, which did a fantastic job and kept the hotel sparkling clean, all the rest of the staff need better manners and lots of training. The front desk could not help me with any questions I had. They did not even know if they knew if a bus made any roots from the hotel to the town. The next day I discovered that they have their own van which takes you downtown without any charge. Anytime I would asked they would say they would get back to me or call my room for the requested information. No one bothered. The night shift receptionist did not speak English and we could not communicate at all. Waiting staff need to be trained. A 5 * hotel is not only the facilities. You need to have the proper services to call yourself a 5* hotel. Breakfast staff and lobby bar staff were all around the place doing random things or checking their phones except of taking care of the guests. When we went at the lobby bar to have something to eat and drink the place was empty and there were two waiters on duty. We had to call to call them to come to the table and even then it took them an additional 5’ for them to come. Everything was served like if we were at a cheap tavern. All plates and drinks came by hand and never used a single tray. Prices were reasonable except for the small bottle of water which costed 10 lev =5€! Breakfast staff would gather in parties of two or three and stare at the people having breakfast and making comments to each other. Not very helpful. The only person always doing something was a new guy with long hair probably a trainee. Breakfast setup was ok. The groom at the reception would always be on his phone doing nothing. I was struggling with 3 suitcases and his only concern was to hide his phone. Never offered to help. The maintenance department was doing some work outside of our rooms. We were not bothered about it at all. After the first day they left all the rubbish and equipment there and never took them ,away. They could at least throw away the plastic wrappings, brooms, and mops and tidy up the area. We had to see this every time we would sit out at our balcony. The ladies at the spa were very friendly and polite. We booked massage treatments for all 4 of us. We were very happy. One of the jacuzzis was problematic and the water has not hot. The sauna and steam bath were good. If the waiting and front desk staff gets trained and services improve only then this hotel can really be called a 5*hotel. I really hope that something of the above will change in the near future as the hotel really deserves it. In any case I highly recommend it as it stands out from the rest in

It's a very nice hotel for skiers and offers great value for money. Ski shuttle bus run every hour. Nice ski room. The room was clean, spacious and warm, with balcony offering mountain views. The hotel is conveniently close to the ski area and nearby restaurants and bars. A huge plus is the convenience store located inside the hotel. The staff is very kind and friendly. All was perfect

Room was big, nice, clean and very comfortable Breakfast and dinner were excellent, with quality food and good variety. Staff were nice and welcoming Spa and pool area is huge. Although we went there on a weekend and during what is supposed to be summer season it was very calm and nice. They have like 7-8 outside pools with sunbeds around each. We could always find sunbeds around the different pools, it almost felt like private villas Excellent value for money

So, let's start with the positive aspects: - We arrived at 14:00 there and the rooms were ready. We got the room very quickly and everything was clean, cosy and warm. - We had one Studio and we expected something small for two people. But the room was huge, bigger than most of the rooms you will find in Bansko for the same price (we paid 480 Euros for 7 nights (2 people) with half board. The view of the room was wonderful as well, as we had the windows to the mountains, in the morning it was an unique view. The studio has everything you need for two people: fridge, sink, glasses, plates, cups, etc. - We came with our personal car and the parking is huge so there is no need to worry about the parking. There is also one underground parking (limited) where you can park your car if you want to avoid the snow or for any other reason. - Near the parking there is a HUGE ski room in order to deposit your skies and boots. - The breakfast is really really good. If you go in the morning at 7:30 when it opens, everything is hot, the food is fresh, and a lot more possibilities than you would normally eat for breakfast. The coffee is made from beans, orange/apple/cherry juice (not fresh, but really decent). - The spa is very large, clean as the hole hotel is. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steambath have the right temperature, maybe the jacuzzi should be a little hotter, but it depends on the person. You get new towels every time you go to the spa. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in each room which is a big advantage. - The shuttle bus to the gondola and back is very on time, we did not have any problem when we used it. We did not use it every day as it was pretty crowded and we went skiing with the car sometimes. - The internet is working pretty well as long as you are not trying to download movies or something similar. - The room towels where changed every day and the blankets each 3 days even after the second change we would have got only one more night to stay. Now, let's talk about some negative aspects that should not be in a 4 star hotel: - First of all, the heaters from the ski room for your boots are not working......why would you make a 100 slot heater if it is not working? You have to take your boots in the room in order to warm them. - The underground parking is sometimes like a deposit. Everything is smelling like they are building the hotel right now, but I guess that is not a problem, you just stay like MAXIMUM 10 minutes in the garage. - The dinner is pretty much not what it should be. If you have medium preferences, you will always have what to eat. In the 7 days that we stayed there, we had each day something new, which is great, but the food is COLD, really really COLD and is awful to eat cold food after a day of skiing. Also, there is NO drinks included.....as it is in the hole Bansko...with the exception of few hotels. - Some COVID regulations are not respected as they should be. This hotel is a solid 3 star hotel, not 5 stars We stayed in the Executive Suite with Mountain View, for our dates in January it was around $260/night (overpriced in my opinion, should be around $130-150) PROS: -beautiful view of the mountains -they give you 1 complimentary bottle of water upon arrival -room is clean and has fridge, also has some silverware for you to use -house keeping is good in arranging our room and clothes CONS: -hotel is very old, outdated and needs a renovation -around 12 mins walk to gondola, which seems near but is hard because of cold weather + if you're wearing ski boots -they are very cheap and give only 1 free bottle of water upon arrival, theres no more free water in the room after that -they dont have shampoo or conditioner, instead they combined everything into 1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash liquid -no disposable toothbrush -there is jacuzzi but water is not warm, its lukewarm and needs to be hotter -breakfast is 99% the same thing everyday and is composed of: cheeses, dried meats, fried frozen foods (cheese, squid, potatoes) -dinner is overpriced at €30/person and not worth it -most of the times, housekeeping did not clean our floor (we know this because we have some of our jacket fur on the floor and once we get back its still there) -you think you have access to Regnum Banya Thermal, but you have to pay around $10/person to get access Would not recommend staying here as its overpriced for the value you get. I was talking to other people and they are happy with their stay at Kempinski (more expensive), Hotel Lion & Platinum

A very nice hotel situated in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool and spa Center are excellent! I didn’t know there were so many different types of sauna/steam rooms! Hotel room was spacious with good views although I found the bed to be a bit hard. Bathroom had everything you could wish for including a tv?!? Played the golf course and found it to be a good challenge with some interesting holes. Only slight complaint was there didn’t seem to be any food available to grab and go in the pro shop. We had to go upstairs to the main bar and order a sandwich. 20 mins later it still hadn’t arrived and when questioned, we were told another 15 mins! So we cancelled, played the front 9 and then took the golf buggy back to the hotel for lunch there. As the course was very very quiet it wasn’t a problem to do this. We then came back to play the back 9. I know it’s the quiet season right now but just having a handful of sandwiches or energy bars or something available in the pro shop would have been good. Overall we thought the whole hotel and golf setup was very good. It would be a fantastic destination for a group golf trip if they could make the 5 hole on the other part of the site into a full 18. Then the choice to play 2 courses would be more of an attraction. Would we return?? Yes! Thanks very much!

Very average hotel. Visited a few years ago so thought we'd try again to give it a second chance. Very average customer service, front entrance and pavements are left icy and untreated so very dangerous for older people. Reception area is quite clinical and unwelcoming. It's quite basic, no real bar or option to chill out set up - felt that the restaurant was 'closed' during the day and unwelcoming - no comfy sofas or advertisement that you could buy coffee/snacks - really missing a trick here!.. As the hotel opposite the Cornelia does this brilliantly!... Small indoor pool that gets very crowded. Small gym, fairly good tennis table, pool for teenage kids. Never saw the spa/massage rooms in use ever!. A big hotel, we felt they could improve on the 'customer experience' hugely - we felt pushed into having a 'buffet' style meal on our first evening at 40lv pp which we felt was expensive given the quality of the food was basic. We asked if the A La Carte was available but they weren't keen to offer us this option and we had no alternative. As last time, the serving staff wear their own clothes, often jeans. hoodies so you are unsure who works there and who doesn't!.. there doesn't appear to be a bar at all or drinks menu so you have to enquire. Perhaps they rely on local bulgarian's visiting year on year - but this won't pull in other nationalities. On a more positive note, we had a roomy two bedroom apartment overlooking the rear of the hotel, with a lovely view of the mountains. The minibus service runs in the morning hourly to/from Bansko and is reliable.
