It was great! If there is one thing I need them to improve, it’s the restaurant service. Orders take a looot of time to get served even canned drinks. And you can’t tell me that it’s because of the occupancy. It’s a slow day when we checked in, not much guests around. Overall it definitely is a great place. Would come again. Would recommend. Just please improve the restaurant service!

From the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. the location was good layout of bars and entertainment was good for samal island,, the location was also not far from the main town area which makes it good location, were other ” resorts” and that word is badly applied to most on samal island , where they charge more than what they ever give in facilities also , room per night cost vers what the room provided is excesive priced , the room hot water could not reach 26degs , , shower head was so blocked with water decay that is barely worked , the main shower head did not work , the ” bathroom” there is barely enough room to use the toilet and not hit your legs, sink placed on the wall was a likly to cause injury with the tap , again so corroded that there is next to no flow of water on the crubling wall , holding the structure up on the 2nd level, there is a 26” tv and kettle , the double bed is pushed so near to the wall a person ca not get out on one side , and room small The aircon did a good job , it is very small , no microwave, not doors on chipboard cupboards , its is the most basic room , where the plastic tiles move on the concrete floor , room had a glass sliding door where it was hard to close , would not line up with the frame. Entertainment is was good , but not when its the same thing 7 days a week , and the staff FAIL TO reduce the sound after 10pm EVERY NIGHT , regardless of anyone there or not , but make sure the glass door rattled on the room from the high base for 6 hours and only turned it off after 12 midnight, Theres is no built in pool on the property , but relies on beach tide to fill the front area for swiming , and low tide **** smells bad if you go walk near it i the morning , several ppl had skin rashes from swiming in the ” Ocean ” and i would never risk going in , unless you want a medical bill from water born contaminates NEVER EVER book this place for more than a 2 night stay , Pricing of food was high , and also were the drinks , but both ware of good quality , would i go back ? yes and no 1 night maybe cos of the enetertainment , and i could put up what the many , many short coming of a high priced place with low , low qaulity, for every other aspect of the property

Our stay at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation in Davao was truly a memorable family experience and exactly what you would expect from a high-end 5-star resort. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and well thought out for both adults and kids. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful swimming pools, pristine beachfront, and a wide range of water and land activities that kept the whole family entertained throughout our stay. Dining was a highlight. Every meal was consistently excellent, and having an onsite Starbucks was a great bonus for those quick coffee breaks in between activities. Breakfast each morning was especially impressive — a fantastic spread with high quality options that set the tone for the day. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was the team. Special thanks to Joshua and Clarise — with Clarise showing excellent management in complicated situations — as well as Dominic and Ralphe, for their outstanding service and genuine hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth, enjoyable, and complete. This is a place that delivers on both luxury and warmth — perfect for families looking for a relaxing yet engaging getaway. We will definitely be back in September.

This hotel may not be a luxury five-star property, but for its category, it’s definitely one of the better places to stay. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and all the appliances were working properly, which made the stay comfortable and hassle-free. The location is also very convenient since it’s just walking distance to Pryce Tower and nearby establishments. One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, so if your room is on the upper floors, expect a bit of exercise. They also don’t serve full meals, but they do provide free coffee and bread at the lobby. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants and food spots nearby, so finding something to eat is very easy.

The hotel is clean and the location is very accessible to get there the view is good and the service is good, highly recommended ☺️

We stayed at Crown Regency Residences for a week, and overall it was a great choice—especially for budget travelers with kids. One of the biggest highlights was the unlimited pool access until 10 PM every day, which our family really enjoyed. It made a huge difference in keeping the kids entertained without needing to go out and spend extra. The place offers hotel-like service, and the staff were consistently helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. While the building itself does show its age and could use some updates, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. If you’re traveling as a family and looking for something affordable with good amenities, this is definitely a place worth considering. Despite its older appearance, I would still choose to stay here again for a budget-friendly family trip.

Pearl Farm is like a paradise. Everything is pleasing to the eyes and to the tummy! Lechon is available every night. Staff are very friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to every request. My only complaint is their social media, phone and email responses. They respond very slow or none at all. 1. I asked for a transfer from Discovery Samal Welcome Center to their Marina Wharf. They said they will send a van at 1pm but there was none. I followed up thru trip dot com messages, no response. I called their mobile number, declined! Guess what, they replied saying they were on lunch break! We were in a hurry because we need to be in their wharf before 2pm per their instruction. Nada. Good thing we were able to ask Discovery Samal staff to bring us to Marina Wharf. 2. Boat transfer from wharf to resort was cancelled due to big waves. I understand. We were told we will be traveling by land. We rode a van, lined up to be transferred via RORO (yes, the ship transfer) which took us 2 freaking hours just for lining up!! And another hour to arrive at the resort. We travelled for 3 HOURS just to arrive at the resort. We lined up with other RORO passengers - with and without vehicles. We are staying in a 5 star resort but they cant do something to make the waiting/lining up in the RORO be a little faster?? I saw the driver paying 20/passenger for riding the RORO (not verified). Cant the resort pay a little extra for a fast lane or something similar? Idk! Just rly disappointed bcos we were traveling with a 3yr old! Ofcourse I messaged them regarding this thru email and yes, they DID NOT REPLY AGAIN. I wanted to rate them 5stars but their communication with guests is so bad. I worked in a hotel and every message from guests is taken very seriously.

Ideal for families who just want to relax and stay in the heart of Davao City. Near major malls and beside the hotel is the ppark and durian museum. They booked us in the 3rd floor which is very accessible for kids to dive into the pool. Our breakfast was great, we encountered a minor incident but the kitchen manager handled it very well. We will definitely book again soon. The price deal was good also. Thank you, Apo View!

Room is cleaned every day. Toiletries and bottled water replenished daily. Bfast is satisfactory. Rooftop resto is a plus. Staff - very friendly and helpful. There is no microwave to heat food. You can’t bring pomelo to your room due to sanitary policies. Lobby is under renovation but it’s ok.
