I booked the Aurora Hotel for my last night in Iceland because I had an early flight the next day. It's super convenient, just a five-minute walk from the airport. The room size was decent; I booked a double and it was very comfortable for one person. Returning the rental car was also a breeze, as the drop-off point is about a five-minute walk from the hotel. The only downside is that there are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. I ended up buying pizza and drinks from the small supermarket inside the airport for dinner. Breakfast was fine, with some vegetables and fruit – enough to fill you up. Overall, its proximity to the airport is the main selling point, making it perfect for anyone with an early flight.
Very good hotel, excellent location, large public areas and very warm feeling. The room was the largest we stayed in Iceland and could easily spread out 2 boxes. Opposite is the lighthouse, the weather is clear, you can see the aurora directly from the window (sea view room can, the other side will have the light pollution of the airport). The hotel drives 10 kilometers to the airport and will pass a small town.
Clean but very small room. Window was rusted and could not be fully closed. Would be nice to have a few more shelves/racks. Excellent early breakfast for early flights.
Facilities: Pretty good, basic necessities are all provided, bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
Hygiene: good, clean.
Environment: Very good. Although the bathroom is shared, it is generally clean and the space is large. The hotel is very close to the airport, within ten minutes' drive.
Service: The staff has a good attitude. They arrived late at night and informed us in advance how to check in by themselves.
The distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste.
The hotel itself is fantastic, as expected from a Marriott property. The staff service is excellent, and the room and amenities are top-notch.
The only issue is the distance from the airport. It would be a great choice for those who are renting a car.
We booked the motel for our last night in Iceland to be as close as possible to the airport. You need only 20 minutes to Keflavik. The room has everything you need for a night and it was very clean.
The telephone contact to the check-in time arrangement was very friendly and uncomplicated. Also the self-check-in and check-out was easy and easy.
It may be that Iceland's food and lodging requirements at this price cannot be too high. . . The front desk is open from 10 to 5 o'clock, other times you have to call by yourself. The room facilities are a bit old, there are not many things for breakfast, it is 10 minutes by car from the airport, the nearby supermarket restaurant is very close, and it is a walking distance.

GGuest UserClean and everything wad as promised. Service was great. Reception is 24/7 around. Open for any support.
Had a great stay.
Location is a bit far from the next city and landscape but reachable by bus.
GGuest UserExtremely satisfied, especially the terrace hot spring water which was very warm, and you could even see the aurora borealis while looking up. A very cost-effective stay, thumbs up to the hotel, absolutely wonderful!

GGuest UserA lovely hotel, conveniently situated near keflavik airport..Stunning Deco, rooms were immaculate, and the spar facilities are second to none..We never used it as there was an extra cost.. Shame there was no view of the harbour. However, the sky from our room was spectacular..
Glitch on the system would not let me attach photos.

JJJKFCAs the first stop hotel in Iceland 🇮🇸, the overall feeling is good.
Because 8/4 Check in at 8 o'clock in the morning, the front desk almost didn't let check in, because I had to check out at 11 o'clock. . →8/3 Arrived in Iceland in the morning. After that, please: have breakfast and return something.
The front desk is finally OK ... service desk service, room cleanliness, lighting, basic facilities are good, like one 👍
