Everything was good except for the fact that the only reason we booked the hotel was because of the outdoor pool on the top floor, since it’s the only one of its kind in Zagreb. Nowhere did it say that the pool would be closed when we made the booking.
What compensation did we receive? Access to a pool at another hotel. The problem was that those pools were indoors. After several complaints and calls to Trip.com, we received 15% of the booking fee back. In my opinion, that was not sufficient, but it is what it is. Everything else was fine.
This is a relatively new hotel, and it's sparkling clean. We had a modest-sized room, very clean and comfortable. The thermostat was not responsive, but we cracked open a window, and it was fine - we're cold sleepers. A bath tub was a nice plus. Our booking included breakfast, and we ate there two mornings. The buffet selection was extensive, probably the best breakfast buffet we've seen, except for one exceptional hotel in Dubai. And the staff, from the front desk to the dining area, could not have been more helpful.
Two items that could improve the experience: The refrigerator was the smallest that we've ever seen, maybe a cubic foot, if that. A dorm-sized fridg would be a major improvement for those, like us, who need a refrigerator. The second improvement would be providing a small microwave. In the United States, even budget hotels will feature a microwave. Maybe this is a European thing, but we really missed having a microwave.
All that aside, we would definitely stay here again. In this price range, it's one of the nicest hotels we've ever booked, here or in the States.

The young lady receptionist was quite rude in a way she was trying to say that the luggage room has limited space. She kept saying that repeatedly with hard tonal voice. I think she should be trained how to give a sincere service to all guests, without race discrimination. Otherwise, the rest of staff team are nice and helpful. Room is nice, clean, and modern. There’s a supermarket (Lidle) nearby.
Like motel, some insects inside the room and need to borrow insecticide to spray the room. Breakfast is good. Environment is ok as it is a residential area and you won’t hear the airplane’s noise. The restaurant in the hotel is also a good choice to eat dinner. Helpful staff . No lift for second and third floor.

It is a bit far from the city center, but you can walk there. You can take a bus from the airport and then a taxi, which is more economical. The room is nice, with a bathtub and coffee. You can walk to the train station. Overall it is good.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton in Zagreb and found the experience to be quite average. While the staff were friendly, the accommodations were disappointing, especially for a hotel rated 5 stars—it had more of a 3-star look and feel.
The lack of windows made the rooms feel stuffy, and the carpet was noticeably dirty. The bathroom was small, the TV was outdated and small, and not all channels worked. The rooms overall felt old and in need of renovation, which was a stark contrast to the beautifully renovated front desk area downstairs. The bright, modern lobby clashed with the dark, outdated corridors and old rooms, leaving much to be desired.
I had hoped for better given the brand's reputation. While the service was good, the overall accommodations did not live up to the rating or expectations.

The first night we arrived in Croatia, our first stay was smooth and pleasant, but when we went back to stay again a month later, our stay was cancelled. The excuse was that the system was wrong, but it was probably because the hotel was not authentic and oversold. When problems occurred, Ctrip was still very helpful. Responded to the problem in a timely manner and handled it proactively. The female customer service who contacted us was sincere, patient, professional and efficient 👍. The handling result was still satisfactory. In the future, I will be more confident to use Ctrip as the main platform for domestic and foreign travel.
We booked a room with a sofa bed for two adults and one child. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, with a sunken center and raised ends. The child's back was good enough to sleep on it, but the adult's was not. The room was quite big, the decoration was neither old nor new, the food in the restaurant was OK, but the service was very good, they would ask questions proactively, so we specially consumed a dinner in the evening, but we waited for 40.50 minutes before it was served. When it was served, we found that the price of the Tomahawk steak was per 100 grams, and ours was 120kg. No wonder the waiter kept saying it was very big. We confirmed it again and again, and the steak alone cost 200 euros. Fortunately, the taste was very good. We couldn't finish it and packed it up to eat it again with instant noodles the next day.

不不摂生な旅人It was a very nice and affordable hotel. It's a little out of the center of Zagreb, but on the contrary, it's quiet and calm. The room was small but functional. There was also a free minibar and water, and it was enough as a service. Next time I come to Zagreb, I want to stay again.

GGuest UserThis wonderful hotel is right in the center of old Zagreb. Everything is within walking distance.....restaurants abound, flower market and food markets, shops, the trolley for transportation is close by, and many museums, churches, government buildings, parks and Historic sites. The Hotel Dubrovnik is clean, light rooms, comfy beds, and a sumptuous breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

BBartek W. SowińskiBittersweet stay at Speeka. Bad weather first 2 days and few mayor sites still closed due to earthquake in 2020. Hostel is located at 3-lanes main street so prepare for the traffic almost 24/7. Windows are old so don't stop the noise. 1st two nights I slept in room number 9 and there were two other cranky beds making so much noise with every move made. Then I moved to nr 6 and it was much better.
Staying there you need to be also prepared for coffee, tea and hot water shortages. And those shabby walls make an impression that the owner doesn't want to invest too much in renovation. Good thing is that hostel is in walking distance from the old town and everything is actually very closed.
People are nice and helpful, thanks to the lady at the reception I managed to print a ticket for 2Cellos - without it I wouldn't enter cause they don't have scanners to read a ticket on smartphone screen. But the concert itself was also sad, maybe cause of those strings sound. I don't know what happened but most likely will visit Zagreb in a few years again and stay at some better place.
ZZhoudamaoThe location is very good, and the attractions are all 10 minutes walk away. Downstairs is a big supermarket, super convenient.
I stayed for two days. The first night I felt that this room had a smell of sewers. I said that I would change to a good room without smell on the second day.
The breakfast was very rich. The charge for public parking is quite expensive. If you don't drive to travel, this hotel is really a good place to stay.
