We liked Nalinda the kind guide from the hotel who took us on a morning tour and since then we became friends. Nalinda took care of our well-being even after we left the hotel. The Sigiriya Hotel at the foot of Lion Rock is the biggest surprise of this trip. The price of less than 600 is very cost-effective. First of all, the service. Overall stay in radisson kandy was pretty pleasant and comfortable. Room was very clean and presentable. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the dining hall was spacious and the food was tasty with a variety of dishes. Roof top restaurants have a good variety of dishes with swimming pool and very view of skyline with visible kandy lake, buddha temples, mountains etc. Staff was very pleasant and ready to help for any requirements. Only was the availability of drinking water. Supplied only 2 bottles of 500 ml each and water cooler/ dispenser not available and guest had to buy additional water bottles at very high cost (compared to market rate. Hotel management can have a look at an issue of availability of drinking water. Otherwise the overall hotel stay was pleasant/ satisfying.

The landlord is an interesting young man from Guangxi who can cook delicious dishes. The morning wake-up service is provided by his cat Lion, which is super cute. One purpose of traveling with children is to stay in places of different styles and grades, meet more people, and know how to deal with some things. You can meet many backpackers here and listen to them talk about the interesting things that happened along the way and their plans for the future. The children said that this is very different from living in a hotel.

The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

There are no stores and restaurants near the hotel, so inside the hotel prices for food x3, Also after 6pm it is dangerous to be outside because elephants are walking around. Now let's talk about the premium status and the five races. In 7 years of traveling, this is the first hotel that did not have a bathrobe, slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. We really enjoyed this establishment and were able to enjoy our last moments in Sri Lanka until the end thanks to a late check-out :) All the staff are attentive, accommodating and efficient! The buffet is varied and suitable for several types of palates. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The BIG plus of this hotel is the magnificent swimming pool which is at an ideal temperature!

Modern house, everything is new. Very clean. The swimming pool and the big garden are my favorite. I am surrounded by nature and will be woken up by peacocks in the morning. There is a choice of Chinese food for dinner. It is delicious. The location is very good. It is very close to the Lion Rock Scenic Area. It takes 30 minutes to get to the Wildlife Park. I was staying at a B&B in the countryside. It was a very European-style house. I was afraid that the single room would not have an independent bathroom, so I booked a room on the second floor with a bathroom with a bathtub. The toilet is relatively simple.
