GGuest UserOur stay at the Shangri-La Jinan was a fantastic experience. We decided to visit Jinan on a whim and, trusting the Shangri-La brand, booked the hotel on the very day of our arrival. The front desk attendant kindly upgraded us to a room with a better view. Overlooking the cityscape of Baotu Spring and Quancheng Square, the room offered an amazing view.
The hotel is situated in the prime location of Quancheng, right across from Quancheng Square. Baotu Spring and Wulongtan (Five Dragon Pool) are within walking distance, and Daming Lake and Kuanhouli are also very close by, making it extremely convenient to explore Jinan's core attractions. In addition, all the staff we encountered were very friendly. We arrived late at night, and when we needed temporary children's amenities, extra pillows, and blankets, housekeeping delivered them promptly. A really great experience.

GGuest UserI absolutely loved the service at this hotel! I was traveling with my dog, so I specifically looked for a pet-friendly hotel. To my surprise, when I checked in, I received a package of dog treats (a pack of Crazy Dog chicken jerky). I also told the front desk staff that I hoped to find a room where my dog wouldn't disturb others (because if it's too close to the elevator or an outside area where people pass, my dog might bark). The staff found me a very quiet room, and my dog barely made a sound! Plus, all the staff members were incredibly friendly towards animals. The room itself was typical Atour – very clean and comfortable. And the surprises kept coming! When we checked out, the front desk staff heard we were driving and even gave us a special little driving gift package! All in all, this hotel truly warmed my heart!

The room was clean, the environment was comfortable and cozy, and the staff were warm and attentive. The facilities were also safe and reliable! Highly recommend!

GGuest UserMy partner and I escaped to the seaside in Yantai for the weekend and stayed at the Hilton Yantai Golden Coast. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience. The hotel is located right by the sea, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped, offering plenty of picturesque spots for photos – you can snap great pictures just by strolling around. Our room had excellent natural light, was clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. The mattress provided just the right amount of comfort, allowing us to rest well after a day of exploring. Anina, a staff member, was very friendly; she always greeted us with a smile when we passed by and patiently answered all our questions without making us feel awkward. The breakfast offered fresh ingredients and a wide variety of choices. We loved sitting by the window, enjoying our meal while gazing at the distant sea view. The hotel's gym and pool were also very clean. Just a short walk from the hotel, there's a beach. In the evening, my loved one and I took a walk along the coastline, feeling the sea breeze – it was incredibly atmospheric. The hotel has a generally peaceful and romantic vibe, without any sense of hustle and bustle, making it convenient whether you want to relax and watch the sea or head out for activities. It's perfect for couples looking for a holiday, creating easy and sweet travel memories. We'd love to come back again the next time we want to see the sea.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a grand architectural design and numerous rooms, reflecting the style of an established star-rated hotel. Upon entering the room, there was a noticeable musty smell. However, the mattress was very thick and incredibly comfortable to sleep on. We ran out of tissues in the room, but the housekeeper promptly brought some when we requested them. There were no disposable bath liners for the bathtub, and they weren't available for purchase, which is an area where service could definitely be improved.
Given its large scale, the hotel could consider offering childcare services similar to Club Med. A kids' play area with soft play structures, slides, and a ball pit would be a great addition, allowing parents to relax. There was no buffet available. With such a large property, inter-departmental communication seems to be an issue. The information provided by the housekeeper for the 1928 Beer Bar's dining options was incorrect.
After checking out, the housekeeper asked for a good review. I provided some suggestions, but the housekeeper, 'Dabaitu' (Big White Rabbit), never replied. It feels like the service in northern China is often a 'do-it-because-my-boss-told-me-to' mentality, and any extra requests from guests are seen as an inconvenience.
I really liked the breakfast buffet where many of the attendants were older, creating a very harmonious atmosphere, like being cared for by parents while away from home. The breakfast selection was extensive. There are two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Cat petting costs 19.9 for children and 29.9 for adults, with single entry and unlimited time. Feeding animals costs 10 yuan, which includes one portion of feed. **However, if you write a good review for 1 yuan, you get fewer carrots than the 10 yuan portion. The animals seemed a bit pathetic, with the little horse constantly kicking the wire fence.** There are two swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor.
The buffet at the 1928 Beer Bar is more Western-style. Many people might not be used to it. We tried it, and the quality of the desserts was excellent!
There's a beach right behind the hotel, with some rocks, but not too many. You can go tide pooling in the early morning and at night. It's too hot during the day due to strong sun, and there isn't much seafood to find then either.
The package included access to the Haiquanwan Hot Springs, but I must mention: it was dirty. There were no tissues or disposable combs in the hair-drying area (only a few scattered combs for everyone to share). With this level of service, I won't be returning.
The hotel's location is indeed a bit remote, making it suitable for self-driving. There's a Shandong University cafeteria and museum nearby, which I'd give five stars!

The hotel is in a prime downtown location, right by Exit E of the May Fourth Square subway station, making it very easy to get around. We were a group of six traveling over the Golden Week holiday and booked three rooms in total. We contacted the front desk in advance to request that our rooms be on the same floor. Despite the hotel being fully booked for the holiday, The Westin went above and beyond to accommodate us—including flexibly upgrading one of our deluxe suites to a studio suite with partial sea views on the same floor. We were thoroughly impressed!
The front desk staff, restaurant crew, and housekeeping team were all warm, welcoming, and greeted us with smiles throughout our stay. They even sent complimentary local Qingdao specialty drinks to our rooms, truly living up to 5-star standards. The swimming pool was not crowded at all; the water temperature was comfortable, and there were several warm whirlpools—perfect for an evening workout or just unwinding. The breakfast buffet was decent: the dining area was spacious, and seating was well-organized. However, given the price point, it would have been even better if there were more pastry and dessert options.

GGuest UserThis newly opened Hampton by Hilton boasts a very convenient location, close to the subway station with an abundance of dining options nearby. Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and convenience stores are all easily accessible, along with many other restaurants of varying sizes. The old Qingdao specialty restaurant next door serves particularly delicious food. The room was very clean, the bedding was neat, and the facilities were brand new. The front desk staff, Yulia, was friendly and promptly addressed any requests. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes, and the freshly cooked noodles were very popular. Staying here made our trip very hassle-free. Five-star rating!
