I had a 16-hour layover in Qingdao, so I decided to check out hotels near the airport. I ended up booking the Bangchen Hotel at the terminal, but when I arrived, I was upgraded to the Junting Hotel – they seem to be under the same ownership! To get there from the airport's arrival level, you take the elevator to departure level A. There's a special passage next to the meeting point, and then you just follow the signs. It's super convenient and you don't have to worry about the weather! The hotel lobby is very grand, and the room was quite spacious. I particularly liked the beautiful sink in the bathroom! Even though it's right next to the airport, there was virtually no noise, which was great! The only issue was that my room was right by the elevator, which is why I gave a lower service rating. I'd suggest that when the hotel isn't busy, they avoid assigning guests rooms next to the elevator. After all, many guests stay here for early morning flights, so the sound of doors closing and people talking in the elevator area can be quite noisy and disturb sleep.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to MixC World and Ba Da Ju. The room was clean and well-lit, and the housekeeping auntie provided great service, even bringing yogurt in the evening. I ordered room service, but the staff was unprofessional. The menu in the room had a comprehensive list of dishes, but when I scanned the QR code, many items were unavailable. I had to call the restaurant to place my order manually. Breakfast closed at 10:00 AM, and when I went down after 9 AM, there was no place to sit. It was packed with people paying 27 yuan per person. The upside is a lot of cash flow, but the downside is a terrible experience for hotel guests. They even served fried mantou slices, which is unexpected for a five-star Marriott breakfast. I had to queue for coffee and for pancakes. The stir-fried dishes were cold, and there were hardly any staff members to be seen. No one was clearing tables, so I ended up going to the Chinese restaurant to eat. The orange and grapefruit juice tasted watered down, likely to cut costs. Overall, the experience was very disappointing!

This was the warmest trip ever! We chose this hotel for my child's birthday. The overall environment and service were top-notch, especially Judy and Sally. After I casually mentioned it was my child's birthday, they proactively prepared a birthday cake. The service was fantastic! Next time we visit Rizhao, Sheraton will definitely be our first choice. The service, environment, and scenery are all perfect, especially the executive room which faces the sea directly. My child was super excited!

The room has a large area, is clean and tidy, and the check-in process is fast and convenient. Easy to communicate in English as a foreigner and staff is very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and smiling, especially Sherry and Ivy, who felt warm in a foreign land and helped a lot during their stay. It was a great check-in experience!

GGuest User 2026.02.16
Overall, it's a standard five-star hotel, decent but nothing extraordinary – no major downsides, but no 'wow' factor either. Its main selling point is its affordability and reliability. 💰 **Incredible Value for Money** Seriously, the value is unbeatable. Around 400 RMB a night, and with breakfast, it's about 500 RMB. Staying in a five-star hotel for about 250 RMB per person? That's an amazing deal for Yantai. If you're on a budget but still want a star-rated hotel, this is a no-brainer. 📍 **Super Convenient Location** It's right across from Suochengli, so you can explore on foot. Getting a taxi to anywhere else is also easy, making it super convenient for tourists. 🛏️ **Hardware is Spot-On** The bedding and bathrooms are up to par. All the hardware you'd expect from a five-star hotel meets the standards, ensuring a comfortable stay without compromise. 🍞 **Breakfast is Standard Fare** They have everything you'd expect from a typical five-star breakfast. You'll eat well and be full, just don't expect anything mind-blowing. 💁‍♀️ **Service is Neither Good Nor Bad** Basic services are fine; the check-in process goes smoothly. However, the efficiency is average, and there are no thoughtful little surprises – it's just very ordinary. ❌ **Two Minor Gripes I Must Mention** 1. The room lighting is too dim. It's not 'mood lighting'; it's genuinely hard to see. It's just too dark. 2. The TV doesn't support screen mirroring. The facilities feel a bit dated. Don't just rely on past glory; a little modernization would be nice. 👫 **Who is this hotel suitable for?** - Traveling with friends or parents. - Those who spend most of their time exploring and dining out, not looking to lounge at the hotel or seeking extreme service. - Anyone who wants to stay in a five-star hotel, save money, and prioritizes value for money. ✅ **Summary:** For value for money, this is definitely a top choice in Yantai. A five-star with breakfast for around 500 RMB is an absolute steal. If you're looking for attentive service or trendy facilities, you might want to consider other options.

Our trip with the grandkids took us from Hangzhou to Qiandao Lake and Dinosaur World! Of all the places we stayed, the Pullman hotel was the only one that truly won us over! It was incredibly welcoming and comfortable! A special shout-out to MAX, the charming young man! His service was excellent – so warm and attentive! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the kids absolutely loved it! Right after we entered our room, the front desk called to check on us, and thoughtfully provided extra mineral water and disposable toilet seat covers. Looking out at night, the view was absolutely stunning! 😍 This hotel alone is reason enough for us to return to Linyi!

An unforgettable business trip! I stayed at the Jining Wanda Realm Hotel for a business trip and found it to be exceptional value for money. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly attentive. I usually enjoy tea, so I asked for two extra bottles of water, and they proactively brought four. The next morning, I went for breakfast. The restaurant boasts a beautiful garden area, and though it was raining and I couldn't dine outside, it didn't impact my experience in the slightest. The food selection was extensive, and I was pleasantly surprised to find so many local Jining delicacies. It felt like I could savor all of Jining's cuisine right there in the hotel! Absolutely delightful! Next time I visit Jining, I will definitely stay at the Jining Wanda Realm Hotel again!

Booked an Executive King room, but since it wasn't available, the front desk attendant kindly upgraded me to an apartment suite. What more could I ask for? Seriously, nothing but praise. The Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offers plenty of food; if you really try, you can certainly fill up. Normally, no one mixes drinks there, but I insisted and they made me a Gin and Tonic. A little later, I went back for another, jokingly asking if a Gin and Tonic was really that challenging. They relented and concocted a passionfruit-infused drink with tonic – I forget what liquor was in it – but it was sweet and quite delicious. They truly made something out of nothing, as all the colored syrups were gone. So grateful, truly grateful. From the living room, you get a panoramic, unobstructed view of Quancheng Square, and you can see the Guohua InterContinental across the way. I specifically checked at night, and thankfully, no one was flying drones, which is a HUGE plus. Breakfast had a decent variety, pretty standard. Besides their special omelet-wrapped everything, I highly recommend 'Bazi Rou' (braised pork) when you're in Jinan. The presentation is plain, even uglier than what you'd find at Chaoyixing, and it comes in small pieces, but the flavor is spot on – absolutely delicious. In the suite, they provided a bunch of random samples – all the toiletries were miniatures. I looked them up and they were Acqua di Parma. I didn't recognize the brand, so I just took them all home. Before leaving, I even called housekeeping to request another set. We Shangri-La members are basically beggars, after all. The pool was also excellent – clean and not crowded. Swimming next to the 'Eye of Quancheng' really is a unique experience. The sauna and steam rooms were also well-maintained. Right across from the hotel is Jinan's traditional CBD (though there's a proper, newer CBD now, quite far away). I recommend crossing through the Hang Lung Plaza opposite, and just a short walk away, you'll find Yanxi Tang, whose scallion oil carp was unexpectedly delicious. Finally, I'd like to give a special shout-out to two staff members: Niki at the front desk and He Mengyao at the lounge. Thanks to their professional service, our trip concluded perfectly. We will definitely be back.

SSalehbaigiMy wife and I recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Qingdao City and we are so thrilled with our experience that we felt compelled to share. This hotel truly stands out for all the right reasons and provided us with a comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable getaway. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. The lobby was bright and inviting, the hallways were pristine, and our room was immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it made our stay feel both safe and luxurious. The staff deserves a special mention. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to the dining area, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles, were always ready with a local recommendation, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their positive attitude really set the tone for our entire trip. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast – it was excellent! We’ve stayed at many hotels where the complimentary breakfast is a bit of an afterthought, but not here. There was a fantastic variety of selections to choose from. We enjoyed hot items like waffles and scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, pastries, and healthy yogurts. The coffee was always fresh and piping hot, and there was a great selection of teas and chilled juices to start our day right. It’s a real game-changer to begin a day of exploring with such a satisfying and delicious meal. What truly sealed the deal for us was the incredible value. The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to other hotels in a similar category that we've stayed at in Qingdao. You get so much more for your money here—the excellent breakfast, the modern, clean rooms, and the wonderful service make it a standout choice. The location was another huge plus for us. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without a car. Furthermore, the surrounding area is vibrant and full of life! We loved being able to step outside and find great restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. It felt like we were in the heart of the action. Finally, as non-smokers, we greatly appreciated that the entire hotel, including all rooms, was completely smoke-free. It made the environment so much more pleasant. In summary, our stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Qingdao was practically perfect. It offers incredible value, combining cleanliness, exceptional service, a delicious breakfast, and a prime location. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay

GGuest UserI didn't book a hotel near the sea during the peak holiday. This hotel is a little far away, across a street, but it's still close to the beach. You can see a little bit of the sea from the upper floors, but it's mainly blocked by high-rise buildings in front. The hotel rooms are large, clean and tidy, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, and although the facilities are a little old, it's still good overall, especially the thick door of the room with good sound insulation.

GGuest UserDefinitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered. In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room. Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room. Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests. Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning. The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired. On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

QQueenie117The hotel is in a great location, with the Golden Beach just across the street. You can put down your luggage and change into your swimsuit to go swimming. If you don't want to swim, there are two rows of electric scooters parked in the hotel parking lot that you can rent by scanning a code. It's very comfortable to drive an electric scooter on the beach and feel the sea breeze. The hotel facilities are clean and hygienic. Although the breakfast is simple, it's enough to fill you up. The self-service beverage machine in the lobby is very good. However, when I was taking a shower on the second night, the water spilled out for some reason, and there was no place to drain it. I had to ask the waiter to borrow a mop to mop myself in the middle of the night, so I deducted 0.5 points for this. Overall, I am very satisfied with this sea view room.
