1. **Location:** The location is absolutely superb, right in the prime spot of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. It offers a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle, making it incredibly convenient for daily outings, shopping, and dining. It's also very close to Ba Shi Seafood Market and the pier, making travel a breeze. There's even an underground parking lot available.
2. **Decor Style:** The B&B is quite new. While its exterior showcases Xiamen Zhongshan Road's typical arcade (Qilou) architecture, the interior boasts a charming Nanyang retro style, which I personally loved.
3. **Service:** The staff were all incredibly helpful and attentive. Here are two examples: First, on our initial night, my daughter likely set the AC too low, resulting in a low fever, headache, and chills in the early hours. I asked if they could prepare a traditional remedy: a warm drink with scallion whites, ginger, and red dates. To my surprise, they actually prepared it exactly as I requested! After she drank it, she broke a sweat, and her fever quickly receded. We almost thought our vacation was going to be cut short! The second incident occurred on the morning of our departure: my daughter left her bracelet on the breakfast table. We only realized it after we had already left, so we went back and asked the front desk for assistance. They managed to find it for us. The staff's service was truly exceptional; they were responsive to every request and always went the extra mile.
4. **Breakfast:** While the B&B's breakfast might not compete with a large star-rated hotel, it's generally quite good and offers a decent spread. They cover all the bases, providing a variety of options like Mianxian paste (vermicelli soup), sweet potato porridge, mung bean soup, white fungus soup, soy milk, milk, bread, stir-fried dishes, fried snacks, steamed dim sum, eggs, assorted grains, and fresh fruits. For children, those under 1.2m eat for free, those between 1.2m and 1.4m get half price, and children 1.4m and taller pay full price.
5. The hotel corridors feature unique devices holding tea leaves. I'm not sure if their purpose is mosquito repellent, but it's the first time I've ever encountered such a thing. It struck me as a distinctive local touch, and a rather thoughtful one at that.
**PS:** For this B&B, I highly recommend choosing a room with either a terrace or an external balcony. Many rooms have balconies that face an internal atrium or courtyard, which isn't as appealing. I personally saw the difference and decided to upgrade my room on the spot.

The hotel has an excellent location, just steps away from local food spots and a large shopping mall, which made getting around and dining out very convenient.
The staff were friendly and attentive, though they didnt spewk English. Despite the language barrier, they were always willing to help and made a genuine effort to assist.
However, there were several issues that affected my stay. The breakfast was disappointing, with very limited options that catered mostly to local tastes — not ideal if you’re expecting a more international selection.
The elevator area often had a strong urine smell, likely due to the restroom located right near the entrance. In addition, the hallways and common areas were not veryy clean, with stained carpets and visible marks on the floor, which was surprising for an Ibis hotel. The carpet was noticeably old and in need of replacement.
While my room itself was fine, the overall cleanliness of the hotel outside the room was below the standard I’ve experienced at other Ibis locations.

We were so glad we chose this guesthouse! The entire check-in process was incredibly smooth and made us feel instantly at ease.
**Regarding the environment:** The place itself was immaculately clean and tidy, boasting a modern decor. The bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a fantastic night's sleep.
**As for the service:** The front desk staff were excellent! They proactively sent detailed check-in instructions which were incredibly practical and helpful. Whenever we had questions, their responses were always prompt. They even paid attention to small details, like noticing we'd bought water and then kindly providing us with extra bottles.
**Location-wise:** It's perfectly situated right next to the famous Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making exploration incredibly convenient.
**In summary:** This was an absolutely flawless experience! I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting, and we will definitely be looking to stay here again if the opportunity arises.

The hotel front desk staff were incredibly cold and didn't crack a smile. The whole place reeked of commercialism, trying to capitalize on every possible spending opportunity. They had promotional flyers and coupons everywhere – in the lobby, elevators, and even on the bed. Paid bottled water was conspicuously placed, while the complimentary water was tucked away in the bathroom and fridge, making it easy to accidentally incur charges.
Outside food delivery isn't allowed upstairs or with the concierge; you have to retrieve it yourself from a designated locker. However, if you order something *from* the hotel, a robot will deliver it to your room. This is all supposedly for the guests' food safety. A can of Coke costs 3 RMB outside, but the hotel sells it for 40. Is *that* for our safety too?
They should really focus on improving their service first. This hotel reminds me of a budget airline like Spring Airlines, constantly trying to get you to spend more.

I am a foreigner. This morning, when I checked out, I forgot my passport in the room. Fortunately, the front desk staff noticed it in time and contacted me to send it to me 👍👍. The breakfast was very tasty, served from 7:00 to 12:00. If you wake up late, you can directly have it as lunch. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, handling check-in quickly. The room was clean and hygienic, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area with good water pressure. The location and environment were good, right below was a pedestrian street that was very lively with lots of snacks and convenient shopping.

When planning my trip to Xiamen, I started my hotel search. After much back-and-forth comparison of many options, I finally settled on Weishang. The cleanliness and overall environment were top-notch. The front desk service was also excellent; when we checked out, one of the staff members even helped us carry our luggage downstairs and load it into our car. What's more, the location offers excellent transport links. Zhongshan Road is right downstairs, and it's very close to Zhonghua City and Tiger City. The bus and metro stations are also not far, just about a 10-minute walk away.

My Stay: Beyond Expectations, A Truly Comfortable Experience
My overall experience during this stay was fantastic! First off, the location is superb. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for visiting both tourist attractions and shopping districts. Absolutely perfect for travelers!
Secondly, the attention to detail in their service truly stood out. From the friendly front desk staff guiding me with a smile during check-in to the housekeeping team proactively replacing bottled water daily, every interaction reflected their thoughtful and professional approach. The room itself was another pleasant surprise: the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully deep sleep. The smart toilet and voice-controlled lighting were a fantastic bonus, adding a touch of modern tech. What's more, every corner, even the often-missed spots, was immaculately clean – I truly couldn't find a single fault.
The breakfast spread, while not spectacular, was definitely ample, offering both Western and Chinese options. I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared noodles and freshly brewed coffee.
Should I return to this city, I would definitely prioritize staying here again! I highly recommend it to anyone who values both convenience and comfort.

The hotel is ideally located, just a 13-minute walk to the pier, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, and I'm especially grateful for the complimentary upgrade to a deluxe suite. The room also had a lovely little tea set, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The cook at breakfast even made me a delicious bowl of noodle soup with generous slices of meat. I left breakfast feeling completely full and satisfied, haha!

Choosing this hotel for our Xiamen trip was truly an excellent decision. Its location is absolutely perfect, serving as an ideal starting point for exploring the city's highlights. Whether it was taking a ferry from the bustling ferry terminal to Gulangyu Island, strolling along the Nanyang-style Zhongshan Road in search of local delicacies, or visiting the lush Botanical Garden, everything was conveniently and quickly accessible, saving us a lot of precious travel time.
The hotel service was another major highlight of our trip, truly embodying the phrase 'a home away from home'. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and a warm, friendly demeanor. Upon seeing us with luggage, a concierge proactively came forward to enthusiastically and professionally assist with carrying it. This thoughtful attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcome.
The weather was also on our side; during our days in Xiamen, we enjoyed almost consistently clear blue skies with fluffy white clouds. Bright sunshine during the day, and glittering lights at night. Looking out from our hotel room or nearby elevated spots, Xiamen's night view was stunningly beautiful, adding a romantic touch to our journey.
Thanks to the convenient location, attentive service, and wonderful weather, our trip to Xiamen was filled with relaxation and joy, leaving us with many warm and beautiful memories.

__WeChat42922****Let me start by praising the hotel's ambiance. Perched by the Min River, the lobby on a high floor offers an immediate sense of spaciousness, akin to a 'sky lounge.' I particularly loved the lobby lounge; its enormous floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking river and city views. Whether it's watching boats glide by during the day or admiring the glittering city lights at night, it's an absolute delight.
The thoughtful design and meticulous details are evident throughout the guest rooms. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. Soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the night view instantly melted away all travel fatigue. Hilton's renowned service standards truly shone through here. From the warm smiles of the bellmen proactively helping with luggage upon arrival, to the efficient, professional, and welcoming check-in process at the front desk, every single interaction made us feel respected and valued.
I must give a very, very special shout-out to one particular staff member – Kelly. Upon check-out, I realized I had left behind a strip of medication, which was very important. Kelly very efficiently helped me locate it in the room and sent me a photo. That's when I discovered I had forgotten other items too. She kindly gathered them all for me to pick up later. Her genuine desire to ensure guests have a perfect experience was truly heartwarming!
The hotel's breakfast alone was worth waking up early for! It offered a fantastic selection of authentic Fuzhou local snacks, such as Rou Yan (swallow dumplings) and fish balls. As an out-of-town visitor, I didn't have to venture far; the hotel provided a one-stop experience of the most authentic Fuzhou breakfast culture, and the taste was incredibly genuine!
I highly recommend trying their Executive Lounge benefits and Chinese restaurant; both are reportedly excellent. I didn't get a chance to experience them this time, so I'll save that for my next visit!
GGuest UserOverall, it was pretty good. The place was very clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent, as you step right out onto a bustling food street. Getting to the ancient city is also super convenient. Quanzhou itself is a fantastic city for food and drink. Getting around with the local 'xiaobai che' shuttles is also very convenient. I'll definitely be back on my next visit.
HhnxgpWe made an appointment with the hotel front desk one day in advance to pick us up at Neicuoan Wharf. The next day, when we arrived at the wharf, we saw the hotel's electric car waiting for our family. They helped us get our luggage to the car. Thank you very much! We arrived at the hotel at 8 o'clock and were supposed to check in at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The front desk knew that we came by the high-speed rail at night, so they immediately arranged for us to check in and helped us get our luggage to the room. The service attitude was very good! The environment in the hotel is quiet and elegant, and there is a basketball court. My son likes it very much. The room is clean and sanitary, very good! Special thanks to the housekeeper Xiao Xiao, who is warm and thoughtful! Thumbs up for you! In general, I am very satisfied with this drum therapy stay! I will definitely stay here again next time!

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious – flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)

Perfect
Yyanghx_yhxThe hotel is located in a lively area, surrounded by many villa-style accommodations. There are plenty of dining options right outside the door, which is very convenient. Ground-level parking is also available.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. After our booking was confirmed, they proactively reached out to ask about our itinerary and made preparations in advance.
The property consists of two villas; the one we stayed in had an elevator. We also received a complimentary room upgrade, and our room featured a large bathtub.
The room was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was exceptional. They provided numerous hangers, making it easy to dry clothes, and even supplied laundry detergent and other essentials – truly anticipating every guest's needs.
There was a generous selection of snacks, and six bottles of mineral water were provided at once in the room, with more available for free at the front desk.
Both the entrance and lobby were stylishly designed. Downstairs, guests could sample high-end black tea, which was also available for purchase in small packets.
Breakfast was also good, and importantly, they allowed guests to pack items to go. Although officially starting at 6:30 AM, you could actually grab some food much earlier, which was a great convenience for those heading out for early morning bamboo rafting.
Overall, it was an excellent experience. The hotel felt very warm, thoughtful, and left us thoroughly satisfied.
GGuest UserA very unique homestay, the space is used thoroughly and there are many clever ideas in it. The sanitation is very clean, and there are no mosquito bites even if you live on the second floor. The complimentary eye mask is very considerate, and the fruit and breakfast are very good. The small terrace can be used to enjoy the scenery and dry clothes. There are small scenes everywhere in the yard. The service is also good, especially the auntie who makes breakfast, who is warm and friendly. When you go in and out, you can always see her busy, cleaning the house and cleaning the fish pond, which makes you feel like home. The suite with a rooftop is recommended.
GGuest UserThis is the our first visit to Fuzhou. I traveled with my husband and my mum. I booked 4 different hotels for a total of 9 nights in Fuzhou. Narada is the second hotel.
We stayed for two nights at the private hot spring wing. Was given free upgrade upon checking in. We were then driven to our rooms by the lovely front desk lady, Xiao Li (前台小李). She is very professional, super helpful as the moment we got out of the cab, she carried all our baggages. Throughout our trip, she is always there to answer all our questions and is very warm and personable.
The next morning, we then called the front desk for the buggy to pick us up to the main hotel side for breakfast. The spread is very good with both Chinese and Western cuisine. The chefs are very nice and approachable. I want to take this chance to thank the restaurant waitress, Chen Hong (陈虹). Every morning we were greeted by her superb service. She shared with us about the culture, food and places to go in Fuzhou. She really go out of the way to make us feel welcomed.
Checking out was a breeze too. We just called the front desk and leave our keys in the room and head off. We then made our way to next hotel nearer to the city centre. We were shocked by the condition as the surroundings and the exterior of the hotel looked so rundown and dirty. We then decide to go back to Narada. We were again served by Xiao Li (前台小李). The moment she saw us, she immediately came to us asking if there’s anything she can help us with. We told her about our horrific encounter at the other hotel and she helped us arrange for 2 rooms at the main hotel side. She even brought us up to see the rooms before committing the stay. We also met Chen Hong (陈虹) while waiting for the rooms, she was empathic and recommended other local places and events. We were so impressed by the rooms, the hospitality and the impeccable service by Xiao Li (前台小李) and Chen Hong (西餐厅陈虹) that we decided not to move in to the city centre and stayed here for 7 more nights before our flight back to Singapore.
Big thumbs up to Narada Resort & Spa, Shoukai, Fuzhou. The people there are truly amazing. Thank you very much!

GGuest UserI had an exceptional stay at Mercure Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering personalized recommendations and prompt assistance whenever needed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with modern amenities that made my stay incredibly relaxing.
The hotel’s location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The staff also kindly gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was delicious and vairous. They change the menu everyday and provide the specialties of Xiamen.
Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Xiamen. Highly recommend!!!
