The room was beyond expectation during the self-driving trip. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, located by the sea. The room is very new, decorated in a stylish and simple style, and the coffee machine, oven and refrigerator are all new. The landlord also gave croissants and jams. You can enjoy the sea view from the balcony of the room. The key is that the steak and tuna steak in the restaurant are also very delicious, highly recommended!
”Absolutely stunning beachfront cabin! We stayed while in Australia, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The cabin was immaculately clean, spacious, and modern, with breathtaking views of the ocean from the private deck We spent our day lounging on the beachlooking at kangaroos and our evenings watching the sunset over the water.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was perfect - in the national park itself
Rating: 5/5 stars
This is our second time here and we love the place. The only real complaint we have is we wish they would clean the shower, grout a little better, and the glass on the balconies had loads of spiders and spiderwebs. Other than that very clean and comfortable and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Been there many times. We wanted to upgrade to a Seaview room but reception said they are running full house . As I walked around for 2days but didn't see many guests walking around the Didn't look like it's full . A bit disappointed though. Will book for service apartment or rental holiday around the area that is sea facing in my next trip.
Coffs Harbor holiday hotel. Most of them are Australian locals.
A good stopover on the self-driving trip from Sydney to Brisbane.
What I am dissatisfied with is that some of the view rooms facing the sea are blocked by woods, so they are also considered sea view rooms.
Loved the hotel service, the room and facitlity is clean, the pool is not so clean but that is expected in busy time of the year during the school holidays.
The location is excellent, close to the beach and shops and easy 10-15 mins walk to almost everything.. will recommend it to friends and family
It's hard to tell the difference between the several room types. The executive apartment described has a sofa bed, but it's actually a sofa. The room is on the first floor, and the door to the living room is directly connected to the garden. The good thing is that the environment is OK, but the bad thing is that the back of the first floor is cold and damp, a bit like a basement, which is not very comfortable. It is recommended to live in the room type above the second floor, which will feel better. The indoor facilities are good, the kitchen facilities are complete, you can cook by yourself, and there is a washing machine and dryer. To be honest, the washing machine has a foot odor when it is turned on, which needs to be improved. The smell can't be removed after using the washing machine. The service attitude is still not good. The room on the first floor has no signal at all, and the WiFi password cannot be found. The staff is still very responsible and patient. The result is a misunderstanding of the book. The staff told us that the password is on the book, which is a book in the room. As a result, we thought it was on the order, which led to it never being found. There are 3 tennis courts inside, which is great, but the check-out time is required to be early, which is a bit unscientific.

AAnonymous UserThis unit is over-priced. We stayed in a double unit, the two of us, which is better suited to either 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids which would justify the price. Upstairs is almost a carbon copy of downstairs in that both have almost full kitchens (no ovens), excellent reverse cycle air conditioning, TV's etc. Other than a very old, very off carton of milk left in the fridge the unit was exceptionally clean.
Upon arriving, we were asked to pay which we had already done when booking. Beware no refunds once booked although this didn't apply in our case. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Had to ask for toilet paper and purchase milk as only two small milk thimbles in fridge. Expected to wash up, dry and put away dishes and utensils before leaving and remove all garbage. We usually do this anyway but I thought it was quite an ask to be expected at those prices. It's post-Covid so I am wondering if lack of staff is the reason for this and perhaps this may change in the future.
No buffet or restaurant on site. No room service. Don't expect any meals. No foxtel as advertised. At least we couldn't get it but they did have Netflix provided. We took our chromecast with us, thank goodness!
The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Maybe 25 metres? Also, in the afternoon a lot of it is shaded. It's not heated so it's pretty chilly even in late November.
The beach is gorgeous but the room we had didn't have views and the units are in the street behind the main shops so whilst very close to the beach (a mere two minutes) it isn't overlooking the beach. Also, very tight carpark if you have a larger car.
I would recommend the family unit or double unit for 3 to 4 people. Otherwise stick to a single unit. I probably would not return unless with another couple because there are nicer places with more amenities that don't expect you to do the housework at the same or even better prices.
GGuest UserWhat a little gem. We had a friends catch up and stayed here. It's so close to everything. 1 block from the Palm beach ferry, 2 blocks from Ettalong shopping centre. The room was clean and tidy with the usual inclusions of microwave toaster jug, tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was good quality with several pillows so you can choose the one that's right for you. The bathroom is a bit old fashioned, however the shower had plenty of hot water. The accommodation is within the Galleria, a Greek / Italian inspired complex hosting lots of small shops, boutiques, restaurants, galleries, beautiful nick nacks and treasures, cafes and even a hat shop. The complex has it's own movie cinema. After booking in we went to bar Toto. Very fitting with the theme of a bygone era. Comfy old style lounge chairs, dimly lit, old movies on the big screen and great cocktails, however there are several other options if this isn't your scene. We chose to have breakfast at one of the cafe's within the complex. Very good crepes and coffee, then spent some time looking at the many and varied shops. Eric's hat shop is a must. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He can explain the process of making hats and show you some of the tools used to make hats. It was so much fun trying on hats and taking photos. We grabbed lunch, pizzas and noodles which were both very good, and sat enjoying the live music in the centre of the complex. If you feel like a stroll, there's a concrete walking path along the waterfront from the ferry to Umina. Once you have parked your car, you really don't need to start it again until you are leaving. Enjoy.
KKaurPawandeepSuper happy with our experience here, the buildings exterior is certainly showing signs of age, but internally, it is up to par, the buffet breakfast is excellent, and staff are very helpful and friendly. Room rates are good and local restaurants are fantastic. Also there is a coles super market a couple of min walk away. Very happy all round. IIsailovicA bit disappointed that Trip.com didn’t give you the option to claim NSW vouchers.
Landmark Resort provide excellent customer service, best I had ever experienced. Sam was amazing on our arrival and very helpful. Floors were sticky from soap residue, she came up within 10 minutes to wipe over tiles with clean water. Later that evening, she came up again to help me with the turning on the stove.
Apartment was immaculate and well designed for a small 1 bedroom. Comfortable and modern. Lots of double PowerPoints to plug in your own devices. Beautiful view off the balcony. Excellent fast wifi. Great pool and games room (air hockey with ability to team up with a partner - 4 players, plus other games).
Negatives:
1. Kitchen - No oven. Could add scissors, wooden spoon and smaller sized pan. Strange to have a huge fry pan to cook for 2 people, and on a small stove top. Also would recommend replacing Tefal type plans as they can become a health hazard when old.
Bathroom - Shower head could do with an upgrade to handheld as the fixed one is small, and only wets just below shoulders, plus splashes everywhere. We made good use of the spa bath. Square toilet seats aren’t comfortable.
Iron is very cheap and old. Dirt was coming out of the holes underneath and water kept spilling out of it.
DDeniseThis was the 4 th time we’ve had an overnight stay to Ocean Beach Hotel. Almost every time has had a problem: the room’s hot water did not work, the power went out, and this time our room had an area of carpet that was saturated with water resulting in a strong musty smell in room.
Each time the staff were apologetic and did try to rectify the situation. Certainly no fault of the staff on duty. This time we were offered a room change due to the smell, but by then it was late, we had unpacked and showered and were in our pj’s. so we declined the offer, thinking we’d get used to the musty smell. and I discovered the wet carpet afterwards.
It’s a shame because the hotel is well located in town, has reasonable meals in the bistro downstairs, offers guests a free drink voucher, has off street parking, easy to get to…
I understand that booking through booking platforms probably limits the options a manager has when things go wrong. It would go a long way, though, to be offered a discount on a future stay, for example.
I suspect we have just had bad luck and it doesn’t mean we won’t stay again because we travel to Umina to visit family and the hotel is very convenient.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very convenient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service staff are friendly. The facilities are complete but a little old, the terrace has a good view, the overall experience is good, it is worth recommending
GGuest UserThe interior and the shower needs to be updated, very old and outdated. The floor in the shower fills up quickly and not running down the drain fast enough which was quite unpleasant to experience. The place needs heating or a heater as it can get quite cold during the winter. The queen bed was comfortable and warm and the room was spacious for 1 person. The reception is friendly and always smiling although it would be good to know in advance if my single bedroom that I booked for another booking so I didn't have to lugged 2 luggages and my handbag with my laptop into up and down the stairs as there are no lifts. I was surprised that a woman knocked on my door at 9:45am that she was ready to get into my room when in the booking, it says check out is 10am. That made check out a very annoying experience for me. The location is great as it's a short walk to the beach and Cronulla centre.
GGuest UserThe location is very good. The point is across the road. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the room. Free parking is available. The room has a microwave and simple tableware, which is convenient for you to prepare breakfast by yourself.
