10 minutes walk to the metro station. However, only 10 minutes to the airport through metro. The room is clean but near the train station ( a bit noisy).

The location is not that bad especially if you have bought the day travel pass as the metro station Anjos nearby but the closer entrance is closed on Sun. There is a supermarket nearby as well. The room is generally clean.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Lisbon! The service was excellent—staff were friendly and always ready to help. The amenities were top-notch and very clean, making our stay super comfortable. The location was also convenient for exploring the city. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting with friends!

Location, 6 metro stops to central. Metro station is 300m away, close enough.
Parking is 12Eur a day, unlimited in and out. Super
We booked an executive suite, with is huge.
The only complain is the bathroom
1.the designer needs to be fired
2.the tap for bidet, the ass cleaner, is 90 degree pointing downward, in fact is the same tap use for hand washing... Who has an ******* facing outward?
3. The bathtub is high, with a slope, and super slippery, luckily there is a handle, wonder anyone fell and injured in the bathtub.
4. The bathtub comes with a clear glass facing the bed outside, and the curtains is outside.. If you have a sexy partner, that would be a good design, for families... Hmm.
5. The washing basin is took high, wrong product
Please fire the bathroom designer.
Nice retreat from noisy central Lisbon hotels. The rooms were large and quiet. The air conditioning was perfect. The breakfast was great. We also enjoyed the fitness center and small indoor pool and hot tub. The front desk and dining staff were extremely friendly and spoke English very well. Would stay again

The hotel is located in the very good area in Lisbon, great restaurants, supermarkets, subway 🚇 Line Green, all you need is near. The staff are perfect, the receptionist was very helpful with us. The hotel have a lift, a big room and bathroom too, 24hours open, very clean, all perfect! I highly recommend.

Stay Hotel Lisboa is a great option for travelers seeking a laid-back, mid-priced hotel in Centro Saldanha. The hotel offers basic but clean rooms, providing a comfortable place to rest after a day of exploring the city. It is conveniently located close to downtown, with many restaurants, bars, and landmarks within walking distance. The staff are warm and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Additionally, the nearby metro station makes it easy to reach the city’s most popular attractions.
Overall, the experience was good. The only aspect that could be improved is late-night access to the hotel. The automatic doors are closed, and sometimes the receptionist is busy organizing breakfast or handling other tasks. Since the doorbell does not always work, guests may have to wait until the receptionist notices them.

Convenient location, nice hotel lobby with friendly staff. Hotel breakfast was not attractive as good as highly recommended by friends therefore we didn’t had it after checked. I assumed it’s due to the restaurant was under renovation and it’s been moved to 2nd floor with something simple. There are cafes around and even 5 star hotel breakfast buffet around the corner with similar price. The room is fine. Yet noise came out from the wooden floor when you walking through inside the room. I was awake during at night when my partner was walking through from toilet to the desk.

Situated at the top of the main Avenue in Lisbon, with plenty of options of public transport and the hop on hop off buses too.
Friendly staff. Clean hotel.
Breakfast buffet was plentiful & included gluten free & dairy free options if you asked for them.
My only negative point was the loud noise throughout the night. I assume it was an external fan for the air con system or similar.
My husband slept through but unfortunately it kept me awake for the duration of the stay.

4 days after leaving Lisbon, I remembered that my wallet was left in the safe of this hotel room. I called and contacted them immediately. Finally, I found my wallet in good condition. Thank you very much to the hotel staff! The breakfast of this hotel is also the best among all the hotels in Portugal. It is very rich and the service is very good.

Good
SSantosThe room was super clean, the location is near a public transportation which I'd good ans bad at the same time due to noise, the stuffs are friendly and helpful.
Therr only negatives are:
There is a TV and AC, but in order to use it you must demand the remotes.
As well as the fact that we either give them a credit card or 50 euros as a warranty instead of a ID, which we found it not so common and were doubting it, ans of course we gave cash.
GGuest UserThe hotel building looks old but it's much better inside. I appreciate the family room which makes my life much easier when travelling with kids. The buffet breakfast was good too. We were starving when we arrived at the hotel, so we rushed into the hotel restaurant for lunch set (EUROS 19 with main course, salad bar and tea/coffee) , rather nice. Overall, value for money hotel, will come back.
GGuest UserI spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts:
PROS:
- Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport.
- Nice decors and overall pretty clean.
CONS:
- The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room.
- Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.
GGuest Userdidn't like:
1) bathroom sharing was not clearly stated in the listing , nor the reservation.
2) the gents bathroom was too small
3) the ceiling above washbasin in gents bathroom was too low.
4) room door did not close and thus had to be locked every time
KkthérèseThe river view room and toilet were small for one person so I’d image a couple would be uncomfortable here. The location is right in the heart of Alfama and a 10-15 minute walk to Chiado/Barrio Alto. I was excited to come and stay at this hotel after reading the reviews about how friendly the staff are, but I did not receive any welcoming or friendly service from any of the staff here. In fact, I felt unwelcome and almost as if I was bothering them when I spoke to them at the reception or asked first a simple request like water for my room. I previously stayed at Montebelo Vista Allegre hotel in Chiado and I would recommend this hotel instead. I wish I stayed there for the entirety of my trip.
GGuest UserThis is a very cost-effective hotel in Lisbon. It is the best and most convenient choice for family travel. It has a refrigerator, an induction cooker, pots and pans, and even red wine glasses. This is really surprising. The decoration of the hotel is very high-quality, and every waiter is enthusiastic. A handsome guy at the front desk even shared the snacks he bought with us, which was really heartwarming! I stay here with my family every year.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights for vacation, below are our experience and reviews.
Cons:
1. Complimentary Water (only 2 during entire stay):
• Complimentary water is only provided on the first day, but this was not communicated at check-in.
• The vending machine water is overpriced (4.5x supermarket price).
• Clear instructions at check-in would allow guests to plan ahead and buy water elsewhere.
2. Reception Service:
• No guidance on how to call the front desk from the room, resulted in us going down to reception for assistance.
• Unprofessional receptionist behavior:
• A receptionist prioritized personal conversations with other guests over assisting me, even after noticing I needed help.
• My query took less than a minute but was delayed unnecessarily, leaving me frustrated and disappointed.
3. Housekeeping Issue:
• Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping knocked repeatedly and did not respond when asked who was there.
• The door lacked a peephole, which raised safety concerns as we couldn’t verify who was outside.
4. Taxi Drop-off:
• The hotel’s entrance is on a ramp near a traffic light, making it difficult for taxi to stop directly in front of the door.
• Guests with heavy luggage may find it inconvenient as taxis often park farther away.
Some Pros:
• Excellent location near a park with a charming Christmas market.
• Safe area with plenty of nearby restaurants and supermarkets, making it very convenient.
• Decent-sized rooms with ample space and a large desk for working.
• Good breakfast options.
AAnonymous UserBe careful with this hotel, in which service and facilities are wildly variable.
For our last night, one bath towel is missing for a room of double occupancy - a schoolboy error as they would call it - and when we requested the second one, the receptionist acted as if he were doing us a big favour. Then, on our last day, neither of our two room cards worked when we returned to the room 30 min before check out time - and because of receptionist shortage, it took us a good 15 min to get a replacement card - not a good thing for a hotel that brands itself for being chic and high tech.
The room controller, which is run by the TV system, as well as the lighting panel, are as dysfunctional as they get - one would have thought it should be a very simple thing to raise or lower the temperature through a quick flip of a switch, or a simple touch on dial. Instead, it is waiting for the TV to warm up, entering the room control panel, blah blah blah.
Note also a double bed at this hotel means two single beds slapped together. Not great if you have no wish to sleep atop a trench.
Our last night happens to be on a Friday, and the lobby practically turned into a dance floor with loud and cheap beats that went all the way to almost midnight and heard even on the highest floors.
No problem for being chic, but being chic is very different from being dysfunctional and uncomfy. A shame, as the location is excellent, some of the staff were nice and helpful, and some of the decor are clever.
GGuest UserI booked twice to stay at this hotel because I wasn't allowed to modify my booking, even though my second booking meant my husband and I would stay longer at the hotel. My first booking was for November 29 to December 4, and because flights to Lisbon were much cheaper on November 26th than November 28th, I decided to take the earlier flight and therefore enjoy Lisbon a bit longer.
I was disappointed in the inconvenience of having to book a different room instead of being allowed to stay in the same room, not to mention the hassle of having to pack and unpack our stuff when we transferred rooms from the 12th floor to the 13th floor. But fortunately, our second room was much nicer than the first, even though the first one was slightly more expensive because it had a view of the river. The second room was newly decorated with tasteful interior design in blue, white, and gray, while the first had a tacky red padded leatherette headboard wall.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The wheelchair they lent us during our stay was new and sturdy, the breakfast food was decent, and the folks were friendly. The location was excellent, right next to the gorgeous train and bus station by Santiago Calatrava, a huge mall, and walking distance from the Expo area, the Fiera Internacional Lisboa, and two excellent restaurants - Honest Greens (best hummus we ever tasted, grilled veggies and salmon) and Butchers (grilled ribeye and lovely staff).
AAnonymous UserGood hotel for solo travellers From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were incredibly professional, courteous, and always ready to assist. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, setting the tone for a relaxing stay.
The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. I especially appreciated the little details—soft bathrobes, complimentary refreshments, and a well-stocked minibar. The housekeeping team did an excellent job maintaining the room throughout my stay, always ensuring it was spotless and well-organized.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s amenities. The swimming pool was pristine, offering a perfect spot to unwind, while the fitness center was well-equipped with modern machines. The spa services were top-notch, providing a truly rejuvenating experience. The hotel’s restaurants also exceeded my expectations, serving delicious meals with a great variety of options. Breakfast was a delightful spread of fresh pastries, fruits, and hot dishes, catering to different dietary preferences.
The location was ideal, conveniently situated near key attractions and transportation hubs. Whether exploring the city or simply relaxing at the hotel, I always felt at ease. The staff’s attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set this hotel apart.
