Hotels With bar in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand

Very clean. Excellent service. However, as per policy (says the receptionist), I was surprised why they have to swipe my card even though i have already paid online, which I didn’t allow, because I have had a bad experience with card scam thus I have to deposit $200NZD which was returned upon checking out (after they checked the room). The stove’s exhaust and overhead light weren’t functioning. There were only 2 chairs inside 2 hand towels and 2 flannels though a triple (good for 3 adults) room was booked. Good enough the TV was at first soundless that we found out that the inn’s black book weren’t there. We could have been charged for its loss if the receptionist didn’t look for it the night before we checked out. There was a room price disparity of of $16NZD more or less which I paid online and the actual receipt at the inn. The online booking was $16NZD more expensive.

A bed lamp did mot work and bathroom was not clean. Overall, I was disappointed to stay here. I suggest hotel to check detail matters before check-in. By the way, Swimming pool was good and we enjoyed. I though hotel to add pool fee on accommodation fee and let guest use it free of charge. $10 per person is cheap and reasonable to use but free or with charge is different matter to guest.

The seasons have changed recently, and the temperature difference at night is a bit big. It may not be winter yet, so heating is not provided. It's a bit cold to sleep at night... It's very cold! 🥶 The location is very good. It only takes 5 minutes to enter the city. It is very convenient👍🏼 I'm a little confused when the counter asked me to check my credit card information. I looked too carefully... I'll keep an eye on whether there are any fraudulent transactions~ (I hope it's because I have persecution delusions🤣

Beautiful place to stay.. lots of activities to do. All of enjoyed.

The room was very clean, but had a little smoking and damp smell. There is big jacuzzi in the room without door which believes best for honeymoon couple, but for family is not suitable. Exterior looks a little run down. Otherwise, it is ok for just a night of stays.

The motel is quite big. When the old lady is not there, she calls her (actually the room inside). The room is quite big, with a double bed and a single bed, complete kitchen, bathroom and bath. Parking is available at the door of the house. Looking across the river from the famous old lighthouse. But the toilet seat can't be kept upright, and the hot water handle of the shower will fall off. Overall, it's ok.

The location is very good, there is a parking space next to the room, the bathroom has a bath heater, and there is no fear of cold if children take a bath. You can also cook by yourself. It's really good. There is also a bar next to it, you can eat and drink

It was great to see unique hotel settings. Room was good but the bed could be better it kept sinking in. Hotel amenities were provided as per usual. Hotel settings are a unique feature. Location is super as it is in town walking distance to various shops and restaurants. Breakfast was not great but pricey I think that's to expect when you eat at the hotel. I would recommend this to my friend and family.

The service staff is friendly and responsive, and any problems can be solved in time. Overall, this is a very pleasant stay experience, and I will choose here next time.

Location was great, not too far from the town centre. It was easy to spot and convenient.
