Lovely stay at Villa Tea Fields in Nuwara Eliya!
We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with a pleasant and cozy interior. The location is fantastic — right in the middle of beautiful tea plantations, very peaceful and scenic.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were warmly greeted, treated to a wonderful breakfast, and even received lovely little gifts, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch.
A great place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. Highly recommended!
It was absolutely amazing experience.
We came from Japan & came to highland
area to escape the city busyness.
We are astonished about this hidden
gem. As we came in we were
welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice.
We came after dark & only requested simple
white rice & fried vegetable but the chef
and her staff made an amazing dinner with
simple vegetable & rice.
I realized how food prepared with heart
can heal our soul.
I was kept thinking if people in the world
could eat this kind of food with real
soul in it, could heal the whole world!!
It is so amazing to be
surrounded by
beautiful trees
&sounds of animals.
I will definitely come back again. O

We recently stayed at W15 Glenfall Nuwara Eliya on a bed & breakfast basis, and overall it was a very pleasant experience.
We were given one of the most centered rooms with the largest balcony, offering a lovely view — definitely a highlight of our stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and well equipped, with tea and coffee making facilities available. The interior felt luxurious and cozy, and the entire property is well maintained.
The washroom was quite large, with basic amenities provided, and they mentioned via WhatsApp that any additional items could be requested. However, I requested two dental kits and even followed up twice, but unfortunately they were not delivered.
Check-in was smooth and quick, and parking is conveniently available with a friendly and helpful security officer. The small lawn area is also nicely maintained and adds to the charm of the property.
Their pre-order dining system is quite efficient, dinner needs to be ordered before 6 pm and breakfast before 10 pm the previous night. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the English breakfast, which was very well prepared.
The staff were generally attentive and helpful, contributing positively to the stay. However, it would be nice to see a welcome drink at check-in, and since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, a small gesture like a cake or simple decoration would have made it more special. Also, the rooms are not fully soundproof, as some noise from the kitchen and lobby could be heard.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and comfortable property in Nuwara Eliya, ideal for a relaxing getaway. With a few improvements in attention to detail, the experience could be even better. 🌿✨
The hotel is hidden away in the mountains outside Kandy, a great spot to relax and unwind. It is about 45 minutes out of central Kandy and 20 minutes to the botanical gardens but the hotel will helpfully arrange transport if you decide to head into town. The view from the hotel is one of the best I have ever seen and sitting, relaxing in the beautiful grounds was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel food is also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious curries available. All of the staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time They also have a very affectionate dog, which was a huge win!
It was a delightful stay at the Forest View Villa. The food was delicious, especially the rolled pancakes for breakfast and the view amazing. We highly recommend this place.
As the train connection between Kandy and Ella is not yet (end of February 2026) working, due to the devastating cyclon in December 25, you might want to consider asking your host to drive you. It might be less stressful than changing busses 3 times.
🍃 On the hillside of Kandy Lake, it is located in the English courtyard halfway up the mountain. The environment is elegant and quiet, very suitable for vacation.
🍃 White yarn is lightly drooped, and there is greenery outside the window. The wind in the middle of the mountain passes through the gap, bringing coolness. In the morning, you can stroll in the small courtyard, overlooking the quiet Kandy Lake in the morning mist. The branches and leaves are light in the wind, and a good day is opened in this morning light...
The triple room has two double beds of the same size, one on the first floor and one on the loft. Anyway, we have no problem staying in the two large and two small rooms, and the room size is also large. Although the location is on a hillside but it is very convenient to go to the lake, about three to five minutes by car. The only insufficiency is the restaurant. If you have dinner at the hotel, you'd better order it in advance, because there is only one chef and everything is freshly made. After ordering, we will sit in the restaurant for about 40 minutes before serving.
Melheim Kandy Villas is a charming hillside retreat that blends comfort, nature, and warm hospitality beautifully. Nestled amidst lush greenery with sweeping views of the Kandy hills, it offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city while still being within a reasonable drive to key attractions.
The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows or balconies that let you soak in the serene surroundings. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance feels homely yet refined. While the property is generally well-maintained, a few minor maintenance touches could make it even better.
One of the highlights is the service — the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is hearty and flavorful, often featuring fresh local produce, and dining on the terrace with a view is a treat in itself
A really lovely house, clean and in a quiet location outside of the centre of town.
The absolute star of this listing is the host Shameera who is one of the best there could be. He’s incredibly responsive on WhatsApp and always on hand with great tips and ideas on where to go and what to do. His breakfast was also exemplary.
Thanks for a great stay
The hotel is super satisfied, the facilities and services are very good, the surrounding environment is also super good, there is no signal on the mountain, you can only use the hotel wifi All in all, a hotel that is very recommended

SSHAOPENGThe location of this hotel is a bit hard to find, but it was really unexpected after entering the hotel. The hotel staff is very good, there will be drinks and drinks, the dinner is really good, and then the breakfast will be prepared in advance in the morning. The only downside is that the room is small, but the scenery outside is very good.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ganthera and the staff were friendly however the room itself could have been improved. For example, there was distinct black marks on the walls and some mould in the bathroom but we understand the climate is humid (also some dead bugs). Bed area was clean and satisfactory and we slept well.
The front door is locked at night so beware if needing to leave early - staff are not attentive to this.
Whilst we did not use the pool area, the view was nice and pool looked good. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not come back.
GGuest UserNestled in a picturesque location, the Tea Garden hotel offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While the amenities may be minimal, the breathtaking views and peaceful ambiance more than make up for it. And the staff are very friendly and available. Whether you're sipping tea on the terrace or taking a leisurely stroll through the lush gardens, every moment here feels like a rejuvenating escape. If you're seeking tranquility and natural beauty, the Tea Garden hotel is the perfect destination.
GGuest UserOne of the most amazing properties i have stayed at. Both Bandhara and Madu, the butler and chef, were amazing. They were attentive, responsive and spot on..great work guys..very impressed.
The property does full justice to the $. The location, the chants from the Buddhist temple in the valley create the utmost serene atmosphere. Every amenity is top end and every detail looked after. Will visit again for sure and will highly recommend..cheers
