We stayed at The Watson Hotel in Ha Long for three nights, and it was fantastic. Our room on the 20th floor was beautifully designed and high-quality. The breakfast was decent, offering a good mix of Western options and fresh fruits. The highlight was the rooftop infinity pool, offering stunning views of the illuminated city at night. While our city-facing room had slight street noise, it didn’t bother us, even as light sleepers. For an even better experience, I’d recommend spending a bit more on a sea-view room for breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay and a quieter atmosphere.

The crews on board are fantastic, friendly and caring. The cruise is new and cozy. Food are nicely prepared and sumptuous. According to the crew manager Bruce, we have to board a smaller boat for 45mins to head to the cruise due to their territories issue. However, it does not affect our trip experience at all.
The events arranged such as kayaking, squid fishing and bright cave are interesting and less crowded, my family had a great time during the trip.

I went on the cruise with my two sons, and we had a fantastic time. This was definitely the highlight of our entire Vietnam trip! The views were like heaven on earth, and being surrounded by karst islands from the ship felt truly magical.
Our room was spacious, and we made full use of the jacuzzi and balcony, soaking in the stunning scenery. While there were only a few activities, they were perfect for someone like me in my 60s or for those who prefer a more relaxing cruise experience. We still got to enjoy a bamboo boat ride, explore the Dark and Bright Cave, take part in a cooking class, fishing village tour, and try squid fishing
The food was excellent, and the staff were enthusiastic and friendly. Thank you for making our Vietnam trip so memorable!
The view from the room was amazing, and check-in was earlier than 14:00, but we were able to move it up to 12:00, which was great.
There is a cafe on the first floor, where you can get ice cream and other things that are perfect for when it's hot.
Check-out was also changed from 11:00 to 12:00, which was great.
Motorbikes can be rented cheaply, and since it's not as crowded as Hanoi, even Japanese people can drive. But you do so at your own risk.

We stayed for 3 nights and really loved this place. Staff members were extremely kind and helpful. Food was great in both the breakfast hall and the Italian restaurant. However, there are a few things we want to point out. First of all, the indoor swimming pool water was really filthy. That really needs to be improved. Furthermore, the sauna and steam room area was not properly attended to. Towels were piled and hair was everywhere on the floor in sauna area. The Jacuzzi water was not hot enough. Also the steam room and dry sauna were not hot enough. In addtion, the balcony in our room was terribly dirty. We tried to clean it ourselves but gave up because it was not possible to clean them with just tissue paper. Staff did however send someone to wash the balcony table, chairs, floors and rails and we are grateful for that. Despite some drawbacks, we really enjoyed out stay. Overall this is a really lovely hotel and as already stated, the staff are wonderful.

Beautiful ship, excellent service, good food (lunch-buffet, dinner-menu), drinks are paid extra. On the common deck there are many places with tables and sun loungers. Each cabin has its own balcony, panoramic windows. Activities include kayaking and a morning trip to the cave

A standard new hotel, which is already a good hotel in Halong. The room size is OK. The front desk staff in the lobby are warm, polite and friendly. They all speak English very well. Seeing that I am Chinese, they also try to speak Chinese. Thank you. There are Vietnamese specialties in the breakfast, such as Vietnamese baguette, sticky rice, fried fish balls, rice noodles, etc. The most impressive thing is that the service attitude of the service staff at each work position is very good.

Very good, economical, good food on board, reasonable. Longwan Cruise (cruise services represented by China Tianjin International Cruise Home Port) has continuously improved its service quality in recent years and has gradually become one of the cruise travel options favored by domestic tourists. The following is an objective evaluation of its ”high-quality service” from multiple dimensions for reference:
---
### **1. Hardware facilities and comfort**
- **Modern cruise facilities**: Cruise ships represented by ”China Merchants E-Dun” pay attention to cabin design, reasonable room space layout (especially balcony rooms), equipped with high-quality bedding and bathroom facilities, and some suites provide butler services.
- **Public area experience**: Deck swimming pool, theater, SPA center, gym and other facilities are complete. Some cruise ships also have duty-free shops and children's playgrounds to meet the needs of families and different age groups.
- **Health and safety**: Strictly implement international cruise hygiene standards (such as CLIA certification), high frequency of cleaning in public areas, and standardized emergency drill procedures.
---
### **2. Catering services**
- **Diverse choices**: Provide Chinese and Western buffets, specialty restaurants (such as Japanese food, hot pot, etc.), and some routes will incorporate localized dishes (such as routes departing from Tianjin Port may have seafood theme meals).
- **Service quality**: Restaurant waiters are friendly and responsive, and can better cooperate with special dietary needs (such as vegetarianism, allergies). Premium cabin passengers can enjoy exclusive restaurant services.
- **Disadvantages**: There may be queues in the buffet restaurant during peak season, and some free drinks are limited.
---
### **3. Entertainment and activities**
- **Richness**: Daily performances (singing and dancing, magic, etc.), theme parties (such as captain's dinner), interactive games, etc. are arranged, suitable for families and young groups.
- **Cultural experience**: Some routes combine destination culture to design activities (such as Japanese routes provide kimono experience and tea ceremony performances).
- **Children's services**: There is a care center with dedicated personnel to organize children's activities to free up parents' energy.
---
### **4. Destination services (shore excursions)**
- **Itinerary planning**: Provide multiple shore excursion routes (such as popular attractions in Japan and South Korea), accompanied by Chinese tour guides, and reasonable itinerary time arrangements.
- **Flexibility**: You can freely choose to join a group or travel independently, but it should be noted that some ports are far from the city, and you need to plan your transportation in advance for independent travel.
- **Improvement points**: Some attractions may be crowded during the peak season, and diversion measures need to be optimized.
---
### **5. Service staff quality**
- **Language ability**: Chinese crew members account for a high proportion, and communication is barrier-free; foreign crew members are fluent in English, and some have basic Chinese.
- **Service attitude**: Generally enthusiastic and proactive, especially for the elderly, children and other groups, and the response efficiency is high.
- **Professional training**: From boarding guidance to room service, the process is highly standardized and the details are in place (such as birthday surprises, anniversary decorations, etc.).
---
### **6. Cost-effectiveness and convenience**
- **Price advantage**: Compared with international cruise brands (such as Royal Caribbean), the price of the same route is more competitive, and there are often early bird discounts or family packages.
- **Home port convenience**: Tianjin, Shanghai and other home ports have mature transportation facilities, providing services such as direct luggage check-in and fast customs clearance to reduce the cumbersome boarding process.
---
### **Potential shortcomings**
- **Peak season experience**: When the passenger flow is dense during holidays, some services (such as restaurants and entertainment facilities) may have waiting times.
- **Route innovation**: International route options are relatively limited, and in-depth travel products need to be enriched.
- **Network fees**: The Wi-Fi on board is charged at a high fee, and the signal stability varies depending on the sea area.
---
### **Summary**
Longwan Cruise's services are at an upper-middle level in the domestic cruise market, especially suitable for tourists who are experiencing a cruise for the first time, traveling with their family or pursuing high cost-effectiveness. Its advantages are friendly Chinese service, high localization adaptability of catering, and attention to detail service. If you are looking for a more luxurious experience or a niche route, you can compare international high-end cruise brands. It is recommended to make a comprehensive choice based on the travel season, route theme and budget.

RRoyalcityA fantastic hotel nestled in the mountains. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one truly stands out as unique and memorable.
Its secluded mountain location meant there was nothing else nearby, but it was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The rooms, constructed from wood and metal, were particularly striking. While their dimness made them feel a little eerie at times, I really appreciated its nature-friendly concept and the overall 'healing stay' vibe.
The only major hiccup was a sudden power outage, which was genuinely quite frightening.
And the food was great too!
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful trip with Capella Cruise from start to finish! Organised pick up and drop off from our hotel in old quarter via email before arriving (easy process) and drivers were great! Got to the port and got welcome drinks, then our cruise manager (Tom ”cruise” manager) gave us our keys and explained everything we needed to know for our stay plus our itinerary for the day on the tender boat as we made our way to the cruise! He was a wonderful manager the whole trip! our room was beautiful with ”corner” views of the bay and our own terrace balcony! we only stayed for one night and we think that's enough - we had buffet lunch after we arrived, and then it was time for water activities (pool, water slide, or kayaking), after relaxing abit it was time to enjoy the sunset with happy hour! the views from the top deck were amazing! we went to the spring roll cooking class before dinner and it was lots of fun! dinner time was set dinner - this was perhaps the only thing we thought could be different - dinner was western style, would have been better if it was Vietnamese cuisine! after dinner there were a number of activities you can do - we tried squid fishing (gave up quickly haha) then a group of us that all just met at the pool went to play poker - that was a lot of fun with the crew ******! next morning was an early start to visit the darken caves, sad we didn't get to see the monkeys, after that it was time for buffet lunch before going back to the port! all the crew were so nice and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay at the cruise! We would recommend just one night stay, second day would have been abit boring with repetitive things to do/eat!

은은빛겨울I came on a business trip, and it was so nice that it was a quiet villa rather than a complicated hotel.
If you book Royal Halong next time, I would definitely recommend the villa.
However, it was a little disappointing that I couldn't see out the window because it was on the first floor, and I couldn't easily open the window.
But everything else is satisfactory.

YYee11I recently had the pleasure of sailing through Ha Long Bay with Dora Cruise as Doria Cruise not able to complete it time, but the company helped to transferred and provide some discount and it was an unforgettable experience!
The Dora cruise ship was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. They transferred us to the Executive Suite, with its spacious luxury and stunning views of the emerald waters.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They beautifully decorating our suite with flowers for my birthday, making it feel like a real celebration.
And if that wasn't enough, they even surprised me by also presented me with a delicious birthday cake during dinner, complete with candles and singing! It was such a lovely touch and made my birthday truly special.
The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of options for all dietary needs. The itinerary was well-planned, with a good balance of activities (kayaking, swimming, visiting caves) and relaxation time. Ha Long Bay's breathtaking scenery left us in awe.
Overall, I highly recommend Dora Cruise for an exceptional Ha Long Bay experience! Their attention to detail, kindness, and commitment to making every guest feel special are truly exceptional.
EE. Ch.Wonderful 2 nights stay at the DelaSea hotel. What I enjoyed most was the staff as they were all so caring and helpful. Highly professional. From the reception with Hoa taking special care of me not to mention ”Alice” and the others. Same at the restaurant. From the manager to the supervisors to the staff. I can't name them all here but they made my stay very special. Food was really good. Staff attention was ”phenomenal”. The room was great (I got one on the top floors facing the bay) and despite being a very noise sensitive person I slept very well. No loud music noise (it was on a weekend early November). The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was not noisy though very efficient. Good shower. I did not use the swimming pool but it looked great. By the way I was told that taking photos from the bay at sunset from the swimming pool is ”the thing to do” :)
I can only praise the staff and the management for the wonderful hospitality even when super busy with big groups (which was the case during my stay).
Based on my personal experience I definitely highly recommend the DelaSea hotel and it will be my choice next time I am in Ha Long.

GGuest UserA beautiful hotel with absolutely stunning views of Halong Bay. We were in a twin room on the 12th floor which was quiet at night, with an incredible view of the bay and overlooking the pool - possibly the best view I’ve ever had. The service was great and the staff all very polite, friendly and helpful. There is good variety in the restaurants and prices are reasonable for what you receive. We also took full advantage of the grand spa, which offers a full range of treatments at a reasonable price. The spa staff could possibly have been a touch more professional (there was giggling which wasn’t totally appreciated) and the reflexology was much more of a leg massage, however we still enjoyed our treatments and for the price versus time of treatments we were happy. Location of the hotel is beautiful and away from the busy hustle and bustle of the city, though this means taxis are necessary in order to get anywhere. Hotel staff are very happy to help you organise these taxis though which made things very accessible. Overall a lovely stay and I would certainly stay here again.
