Wonderful Staff is simply fantastic, always with a smile and very respectful. Hitel is well located, breakfast is awesome and room super clean. Mathew, the bartenber at the pool side is super nice and makes good drinks. My stay was a big 10. Thanks! Sylvain

05/01/25. The Bayleaf Cavite For the Labor Day Holidy, we decided to visit my Uni's museum in the Cavite campus and do a staycation as well. GOOD: 1. Would like to thank Ms. Rem Sampao FO Manager, for extending utmost assistance to our check-in request. The housekeeping team, B8 bar crew and Door Guards were warm and service oriented. SalutešŸ‘šŸ½! 2. The Atrium were breakfast was served was elegantly designed. The food spread was wide enough for the price range to fill up guests for the day ahead. Their Interns were quick to serve too. 3. The crown jewel of The Bayleaf is their large free form resort pool and open space around it. Very relaxing and big enough for guests not to feel crowded. 4. Rooms were equipped with the basics for a comfortable stay. COULD BE MPROVED: 1. They should have upgraded their TVs by now to Internet TVs. 2. Please consider adapting to more environmentally friendly Pitchers or Carafes inside the room with water dispensers per floor. Will return to see if they consider my suggestions.

Best resort in Matabungkay, hands down! We received a free upgrade from the hotel with a fantastic view. The location, which is right on the beach, is fantastic. The staff is excellent and the resort is kept up beautifully, really well maintained. During our three days and two nights there, we noticed that the surroundings were clear of leaves and dirt, the pool was kept clean, and the water was changed on a daily basis. The room is large and attractive, with a modern theme mixed with elements of traditional home. Additionally, there are common areas where you can socialize and play with other visitors. The employees provide the best service and are courteous and professional! During our vacation, we truly enjoyed ourselves and unwinded. By the way, their breakfast is the finest! One of my favorite vacations

I specifically would like to commend the front desk officer, Cess, who was very helpful on my needs. She went out of her way to assist me when I was looking for a hairdresser and make-up artist in the area she could recommend since I was in the area for the first time to be a wedding sponsor. Love the ambience and piano music at the lobby. Room was so clean. Just that I find the restroom to be a little small. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. The male Manager there, however, just needs to wear a smile. :-) Over-all, our experience was great. Will definitely recommend Sotogrande Batangas to family and friends.

Hotel staff are very accommodating and very welcoming. They helped us with our anniversary celebration. The hotel building looks old, but it is clean and well maintained. Parking is free, heated pool is good enough that you can enjoy. Breakfast is superb, everything was fresh. They also have karaoke nights. They also have a gym. In our room, everything is clean. For me it was spotless and you can make request anytime and they will do it in a timely manner. For me it was 10/10 and will surely comeback and will tell with my fam and friends about it.

The hotel was beautiful. The room we got was spacious for a family of 3. It had a wonderful view, where the location was truly remarkable. It showcased the possibility of wanting to live there. The pool too was well planned that you'd be swimming with mountain on view. I plan to go back there soon.

Overall, it was a great experience. The amenities were amazing — lots of activities to enjoy, whether you're into relaxing or staying active. You definitely won’t run out of things to do! The food was delicious, and the staff were all so kind and accommodating. They even granted our request for a room with a stunning view of Taal Volcano — waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable. Cleanliness was good, I’d give it a 4 out of 5. There’s a little room for improvement, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great food, fun activities, and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Canyon Woods!

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.

MMargo ELashApart from the surroundings being naturally beautiful with trees, lake, etc., for this kudos for the way the place is designed… nothing much special about this place unfortunately. We were not impressed given all the hype in Social media platforms. Here are a few things I have noted that made me feel not worth coming back for: 1. Check in process is so Manual - we arrived right on check in time by 3pm. Lots of paperworks to be done, asked for each guests IDs, took photos of it. 1 paper we need to fill out with guest names etc, another paper to sign acknowledgement on rules, etc - literally in pen and paper. After all the paperworks, that is the only time we were briefed of the facilities map, where to go, what to see etc. So for this part alone - is almost 1 hour. Since we have to go to each room/suite, we had to wait for buggy to bring us, another waiting of about 30mins., we even needed to approach again the reception desk to ask where is the buggy just for them to check again. Come on, this is already 1.5 hr of us paying for the stay and yet we haven’t utilized the room and facilities itself. We were only able to settle in our rooms almost 5pm already. 2. Restaurants, I understand all are organic. Hence charges are high. We went to the Indian Vegetarian restaurant and ordered - Parata, Fries, Fried Tofu, Palak Paneer and 2 juices our bill is about 3,500 pesos. For it being homegrown plants and organic, we accept that amount is that high. However, we were only 3 tables filled in the restaurant, not full house and yet food took almost 1 hour to arrive. šŸ˜• 3. All else comes with charge if you wish to utilise, like massage, water therapy and all. Charges for each of this service is already same as how much the room cost. Free sessions - Yoga in morning is good. Sound therapy - not so. Room wise is ok. It is a expected with the rates they charge, you expect to be in a decent room at least. Nonetheless, it was good for experience. But may look out for other places with same facilities that will make you feel the value for money. Main disappointment we have is all the waiting time we had faced, while being there on non-peak days (weekday) and yet for each thing we had to do/request, we had to wait minimum 30mins before getting the service needed. Meanwhile, check out wise - everything was done fast and 12:30 sharp we were on our way out.šŸ˜‚ I am sharing based on what I have personally experienced, some may have enjoyed and experienced otherwise, unfortunately not the case for our group.

VVinaVanessaHere's an elaborate review based on your stay at Taal Vista Hotel: **Hotel Review: Taal Vista Hotel (Stay Date: January 4-5)** My recent stay at Taal Vista Hotel was a blend of elegance and family-friendly amenities, though not without a few quirks. Pros: 1. **Elegant Ambiance:** Taal Vista Hotel exudes elegance, especially with its grand architecture and beautifully maintained grounds. The back of the hotel features a spacious area perfect for strolling and playing, with breathtaking views of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano. 2. **Family-Oriented:** This hotel is a haven for families. The expansive lawn provides ample space for children to run and play. 3. **Wide Parking Space:** Ample parking space makes it convenient for guests arriving with their vehicles. 4. **Breakfast Buffet:** Though the breakfast buffet had limited choices, every dish served was delicious and satisfying. **Cons:** 1. **Unheated Pool:** Unfortunately, the pool is unheated, which might be a downside for those looking to take a dip in colder weather. 2. **Outdated Room:** The room we stayed in felt quite old and outdated. The chair and sofa had tacky covers, likely because they were really old. 3. **Towel Availability:** Surprisingly, there were no towels in our room upon arrival. We had to request them, which was quite disappointing considering this is a 5-star hotel. In conclusion, Taal Vista Hotel offers a beautiful and serene environment, ideal for families, but could use some updates in the rooms and better attention to detail in terms of amenities like towels.

AAnonymous UserThe room was nice and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very accessible. My only concern is they clean the room on the 2nd night even though we don't request it. We are shocked when we are back in the room šŸ˜‚.We really appreciate the initiative but we hope next time, ask permission first. And for the pool, it's too cold. Hoping next time you will have a heated pool 😊 The overall experience was good. We will be back again.

GGuest UserThis was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes. 1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful. 2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate. 3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol 4. Room - clean and comfortable! 5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines. I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it. In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!

VVeronica ArlyneWe love the aesthetic of the place.. although some of the area seemed abandoned or neglected.. but it didn’t really matter much coz there’s still the other spots that are well maintained. The service was good, though a little less prompt .. one particular case was with the tv.. we asked the operator to have someone to come check the connection but it took a while and I had to make a follow up call .. overall we had pleasant experience .. worth visiting and staying for a short getaway from the busy city life
