Perfect staycation not too far from the city, with cool weather in a charming French village setting.
The view was beautiful and relaxing. However, food options were limited, quite pricey, and the taste was average. I hope they add more restaurants in the future. During our stay, there was also a shortage of mineral water, which was a bit inconvenient.
Breakfast was included in the package—while the variety wasn’t extensive, it was decent enough to start the day.

I have always love the Hyatt chain of hotel.. stayed in KL & Singapore before.. so I was so looking forward to the breakfast at Hyatt Kuantan. I was a little disappointed with the quality of food served. The quantity, oh yes, Hyatt always have a varieties of spread for their buffet breakfast - that I can’t deny. But the quality, taste, were abit meh!
I had chicken soup noodles - bland.
I had nasi kerabu & curry chicken - also tasteless
Curry noodles - not enough curry
Even the porridge was disappointed.
Food wise Kuantan Hyatt did not live up to my expectations.
But other than that, everything else from the reception, to the rooms (amenities), comfort of the beds & pillows and the surrounding of the hotel, beach, swimming pool, shops nearby.. were all good!
Would I stay in Kuantan Hyatt again? Yes!
But I will take the rooms only, will skip the breakfast!
Very good experience for me and its my first time visit to Berjaya Hill. Also was my first time attended garden wedding in my life. Highly recommended to my friends for this accommodation😍 Excellent service for overall.
It was a bit of disappointment, the sleeping arrangements actually cannot accommodate for 6 adults, as the sofa bed was not stable and strong enough to hold 2 adult weight. The 2 queen size beds was placed side by side but there was not the same height, so can't to have one more person to sleep on.
So it should not advertise can accommodate for 6 pax.
Toothbrush, toothpaste was not provided and we have to go and buy.
Beautiful hotel & top notch service and location. However, some cons:
1)Need to climb up 3 flights of stairs (fm outdoor parking) - pretty impossible for handicapped guests
2) I think breakfast need to be upscaled as this is after all a luxury hotel. The food although delicious, is too ordinary & cheap. The buffet spread of just bread/pastries/cereal could be expanded. The fruits at the buffet table were also terrible - only apples & oranges and were of poor quality & grade.
The location is good, about 15 minutes to Genting. The hotel cleanliness could be improved, but the room is quite spacious. They are currently giving out E-vouchers as well. The hotel is convenient, and there is a shuttle bus service available with additional charges.
The room got rat, the kids fall sleep so we dint ask to change room but come to catch the rat.
Thanks the team come to help us catch the rat. Even the room is sanitised but rat still there.
From the play pool to the beach very far, walking distance need 5min. So we prefer play at the pool as close at 6.45pm sharp.
Restaurant outside is nearer to the beach and easy to clean up also, so we continue beach play after dinner.
Overall the kids like the pool.
The hotel is good to stay at, we enjoyed the Onsen and the environment of the hotel. It’s near to the sky avenue too. I also requested the management to decorate the room as that was my boyfriend’s birthday trip and they made us some simple decorations and towel cake. I really appreciated that. But the only issue was the noise of water flushing from the upper level is keep us waking up and we didn’t sleep well at night. Hope the management can take note on this.
The location, food and services were so great! We are really glad that we chose this place for our vacation. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Stunning views, excellent service and good food.
Had a lovely stays as my friend arrange a surprise birthday for me during dinner, very good massage ( i took excellent massage package) plus had a chance to saw milky way just in front of the hotel’s restaurant..! I just Love everything💜💜
The only thing that can improve is the flamming tower seafood that i ordered 1 day in advance. Booked for 7pm, it came around 7.40pm and cold already. I expect to eat the deep fry seafood panas2

KKelvin Qweiming WeimingI booked one garden chalet and one double bedroom for a 2-night stay with my family. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The food was a major letdown—fried rice was soggy and overly salty. The breakfast buffet was very limited, with only one side available to serve 40–50 tables, which led to long waits and poor variety. Monkeys roam freely around the property, and their droppings are scattered along the walkways. It’s especially unpleasant (and unsafe) to walk around at night due to this. The game room is in bad shape. The snooker table is uneven, all the ping pong balls are deformed, and the children's toys are dirty. The mountain bikes provided are rusty. We also encountered cockroaches, lizards, and other insects hiding under shelves—every morning we found dead bugs around the rooms. On a positive note, the swimming pool and beach are beautiful, and the availability of duty-free alcoholic drinks was a nice touch (outside Berjaya resort). The chalet also offered complimentary soft drinks (Coke and Sprite) in the room, which was appreciated. Despite all these issues, the customer service was genuinely good. The staff were friendly, helpful, and tried their best to assist whenever we had concerns.

AAnonymous UserThe place is quite clean but the view is fantastic! It might be a bit confusing for some people to find their hotel room since they have lots of towers but if you follow the instructions and signs, you will find your room. Will come here again for sure 😊 oh you can just watch the sunrise from the hotel too!
IIda ARGreat service and friendly staff. However like many other review mention below, they are very strict regarding total occupants inside the room, my sister in law also said the same. Hence probably next resort board meeting, can consider to terminate / abolish the such rules. The resort must remember tourism in Malaysia are usually family oriented, hence should prioritise family friendly place/hotel/resort. Do not hurt the occupants/ visitors pf the resort’s feeling. Not all are privileged to book luxuries room for their family. Hope cam consider🙏 other resort/ hotel very rare have such rules. But overall okay, abort the rules would really recommend this place to relatives and friends.
