Hotels With Spa in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

Although located at the Nikko town centre, the area is a bit quiet with not many shops around. It is closed to the Kanman-ga-fuchi Abyss. Hotel room is big, and the river view is excellent. The onsen is good. Besides traditional inside & outside onsen, there is also jaccuzi style pool. The dinner and breakfast are also taste good.

Really great stay in the hotel, very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Japanese style room was so cozy and the view was fantastic!!! Really great view of the surrounding mountains and lake. -1 star for the location due to the difficulty to find it at night. There were no streetlights in the area so we didn't know there were footpaths and had to do the dangerous route via the vehicle road in pitch darkness. Dinner wasn't fantastic but is included in the stay. Breakfast was decent though :)

It's right in front of Sano Bus Terminal, so it's great for people going to Sano, Tochigi Prefecture! And you can use the outdoor bath on the rooftop for free until late at night, so it felt like a place to rest. There's a convenience store about a 3-minute walk away, so it was okay for me to stay alone!

The service is very good. There are waiters who can speak Chinese and are very kind. The food was also great, kaiseki was amazing, very good tableside service, traditional Japanese restaurant. There are two public hot spring baths with their own characteristics. The male bath and the female bath are fixed every night, so you can experience both baths. The hot spring quality is very good, the hotel environment is clean and there are many facilities, which is very suitable for family travel. A very recommended hotel.

The impressions are the most rosy. About the pros: 1. The hotel looks well-kept and new. The room is large, with a balcony, toilet with shower, there is a mini-bar, tea accessories, pajamas, yukatas, everything is in place. Small gifts. Everything was very nice. There is a coffee machine in the lobby area, you can take books to read, there is a souvenir shop. 2. Warm attitude during the serving of food, especially during dinner. The taste of the food and the quality for me were excellent. As a foreigner unfamiliar with the traditions of the cuisine, we are grateful for the opportunity to touch the culinary microclimate of the region. Although I understand that my opinion cannot be considered expert. 3. A good area with onsen. There is an indoor pool and rotenburo, there is no need to bring towels from the room. There is a small common lounge area with drinks and ice cream. Minor minuses: 1. If you go to the hotel by taxi, it takes you to a gravel path, and then you calmly get there by walking a little to the official entrance of the hotel. But if you walk, and it's about 20 minutes from the station, then knowing that you went through a more convenient service entrance, the detour to the main entrance will seem strange, although in the end it has its own charm. 2. The service at the entrance to the hotel seems a little blurry. Especially after the service in the same restaurant. But we arrived late in the evening, so it is likely that everyone was just tired by the time we arrived. 3. The hotel held a lecture on our evening, but it was in Japanese. Although I do not see a mechanism by which it could be made more accessible. Hiring a translator who would translate into English for a couple of foreigners is strange. Conducting it in English when most of the guests were Japanese is wrong. The hotel is not cheap, but I think it is worth the money. I highly recommend it.

Hotel location is good! Opposite is Shenqiao, about 10 minutes away from Toshogu Shrine and Erhuangshan Shrine. The hotel staff was polite, the rooms were not as old as expected, and they were neat. There is a tea room on each floor, with green tea, barley tea and hot water supply. Although the bath is not hot spring water, fatigue can be eliminated after bathing. Breakfast is simple and delicious. The only drawback is that you cannot store your luggage after check out. Attach a landscape photo outside the room.

For a Regional area like Utsunomiya, I cannot help but rave about how amazing Candeo Hotel Utsonomiya is. Starting from the location; it’s not even 5 minutes from the station so if you have heavy suitcases; there’s barely any hassle to get to the hotel. There’s also a 7-11 right below the hotel so if you need a bite at 2-3 am, you know where to go: there’s also some amazing restaurants right below the hotel so id also say it’s super convenient. In terms of the room, the room was very well maintained with elegant design and very cozy. Room size was sufficient enough and also very comfortable. And the breakfast is just amazing. Every day different soups and just delicious salads with super fresh fruit. 6 out of 5 on the breakfast. And lastly the service, just very very helpful and extremely polite and patient. Some understood English and some understood basic but with google translate it was a piece of cake. They also helped me transfer my luggage from their hotel to the next in another city. Overall just a 5 on 5 rating for every aspect of the hotel.

It was a very nice hotel with a very relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant where we had breakfast was excellent. However, my elderly mother had difficulty unlocking the hot spring entrance.

Because I went to Ashikaga Flower Park after a five-day trip to Tohoku and then returned to Tokyo, I chose Oyama as a transit point so that I could get to the hotel earlier after seeing the night view of wisteria flowers. I originally thought that Oyama was just a small town, but when I got there, I found that the JR station was also quite large and there was a shopping mall. The hotel was only about a five-minute walk from the station. The room was slightly larger than that in Tokyo, and the soundproofing was not very good. When I was sleeping in the middle of the night, I heard a man talking loudly on the phone in the corridor outside the door. This hotel seems to be mostly stayed by men on business trips because the bathhouse is only open to men on weekdays, and most of the people eating breakfast in the morning are men, but as a transit hotel, the price-performance ratio is still acceptable.

Very good, very old-fashioned hostel, hot springs and two meals are great. A little distance from the train station, when I went, I called the service staff to pick it up, but when I returned to the train station, I called a taxi because there was a person on duty in the lobby, not far away, but a bit expensive. It is recommended to ask the hotel in advance or make an appointment for the transfer.
