## Hygiene and Service:
The hotel has a policy that guests must put out a 'clean my room' sign before 10 AM each day for full housekeeping. Otherwise, only towels and trash bags will be replaced. Even with full cleaning, it's just a basic tidying up; linens and pillowcases are not changed.
## Location:
It's a bit far from Osaka JR Station, but you can get there directly via bus #88. There's a convenience store downstairs, but not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
## Facilities:
There's a public bath (which is also open to the public, so it can get very crowded in the evenings). On the first floor, the lobby offers soda, coffee, and an ice machine for guests to use at any time.

Huge thanks to the hotel for the room upgrade to a high floor! The view was absolutely amazing, both day and night, and we could even see Tsutenkaku Tower.
We stayed for 5 days, and the room was spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff did a meticulous job daily, even tidying up our charging cables and organizing our clothes.
Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, and the location is fantastic. It's right next to Namba Parks, making dining and shopping super convenient. Plus, it's just a short walk to Shinsaibashi and Kuromon Market, which made getting around and exploring hassle-free.
I've stayed at this hotel before, and everything—location, transport, price, facilities, and service—was excellent. But this time, it wasn't good. 1. The staff weren't as enthusiastic as before. 2. The front desk guy said they no longer provide bottled water; you have to get it from a dispenser near the elevator. 3. The cleaning staff just tossed my pajamas on top of my suitcase. 4. There were some stains on the duvet cover... I stored my luggage, and I recall being charged for it previously. This time, when I asked how much to pay, the young lady seemed surprised and told me it's free. Mostly, having my pajamas thrown on my suitcase really annoyed me.

The hotel is very spacious with nearly all-day lounge to hang out with snacks and drinks as the key signature. The staffs are all service-minded and friendly. The public bath service is also the great facility I have enjoyed as well. The location of hotel requires you to walk moderatedly from the Osaka station, yet the hotel location itself is surrounded by metros, convenient stores, drug stores, and restaurants.
Love it!

Google Maps navigation to Exit 22 actually refers to an underground shopping street. You can exit from either 7B or 8B in the middle of the street, or from Exit 21 – all lead to the same area. The room was clean and well-arranged. There are convenience stores both in front and behind the building, making shopping incredibly convenient. You can walk to Namba, Shinsaibashi, and Takashimaya. Getting to Kobe and Kyoto is also easy, taking only 1-1.5 hours.

The Imperial Hotel Osaka boasts an excellent location near Sakuranomiya Station, offering stunning river views from its upper floors and even a glimpse of Osaka Castle in the distance. Below, the riverside greenery and small beach create a serene and lovely atmosphere.
The hotel has a vintage charm, and while some facilities show their age, it didn't detract from a comfortable stay. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and even the single beds were spacious. Room insulation was good, and the shower had strong, hot water, which was very pleasant. However, the lighting was a bit dim, making it slightly inconvenient for getting ready.
This visit was specifically to experience the 'Miyake' (a term for the three most prestigious hotels in Japan) level of service, and indeed, this venerable hotel delivered polite and thoughtful service without feeling overbearing. For instance, when checking out, knowing we had plenty of time before our flight and planned to explore Umeda further, they proactively reminded us about their shuttle service to the airport if we were heading there directly. When we said we were going to Umeda, they even asked if we'd like to leave our luggage at the hotel. They also directly helped us with calling a taxi, specifying the destination, and handling our luggage. I truly loved their Japanese staff!
However, it seems the hotel has hired some South Asian staff for housekeeping. I noticed some dust on the glass shelf in the bathroom and on the TV cabinet. But these are minor issues, and overall, the cleaning was quite thorough.
I asked for a room with one bed, but there were actually two, which surprised me! I returned to the front desk with my heavy luggage and when I checked, they said, ”The room has been changed.” They should have told me in advance and gotten my approval. I had no choice but to register the 100 yen tax fee at the designated machine. The machine asked me if I wanted to pay by credit card or cash, so I pressed the cash button. However, there was no reaction. I wondered if I could just insert the money without having to press it, and when I did, it came back. In conclusion, credit card is the only option!
The room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second,
upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.
The Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka, nestled in the serene and elegant Nakanoshima area, offers incredibly convenient access. A free shuttle bus runs to and from Osaka Station every 15 minutes, and there's also a pre-booked shuttle service to Universal Studios Japan. The rooms are spacious and clean, with some being recently renovated to offer a modern and comfortable experience. The breakfast is abundant, and the service is polite and attentive. With a convenience store and shops downstairs, the facilities are comprehensive. This hotel offers great value for money and is perfect for both business and leisure travelers. A fantastic experience!

XXiaoniunaimamaThis was our second time bringing the kids to Universal Studios Japan for two days, and we booked this hotel. The location is excellent and super easy to find – it's right on the right-hand side when you exit the Universal City Station. It’s also very convenient for getting to Universal Studios. The breakfast was decent; I had rice and vegetables every day.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right across from Fukushima Station, with a direct Kanku Express line to the airport. It's also just a 3-minute walk to the Hanshin Line station for trips to Kobe. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the service is excellent. We booked two rooms, and they proactively arranged for them to be on the same floor. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Osaka.

Amazing
GGuest UserLocated from the 33rd to 55th floors in West Umeda, this hotel offers an artistic, luxurious ambiance with panoramic views.
📍 The location is excellent, with direct access to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, major transportation hubs in Osaka. Yet, the moment you step inside, all the city's hustle and bustle fade away. Downstairs, you'll find major department stores and an underground shopping mall. The joy of being able to drop off your shopping bags in your room immediately after a spree is one of the ultimate luxuries of travel. It's also incredibly convenient for traveling to Kyoto, Kobe, or Kansai Airport.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: The lobby is very stylish, though the room is a bit small, especially the bathroom where there's hardly space to turn around. However, the bed is huge, made of two single beds pushed together, and it was the most comfortable sleep I had on this trip.
Cleanliness: It's very clean.
Ambiance: It's considered one of the more upscale hotels in the area, with many foreign guests staying here.
Service: Overall, the service was very satisfying.
Location: The location is also very convenient; Hankyu + Lucua are all you need for shopping.
GGuest UserThis was my first time choosing this place for a business trip. The location was great, not too far from the station. I picked it because I dislike the noisy and chaotic central tourist areas, and I was ultimately satisfied with my choice. It’s a good place to experience local charm, and it only takes about 15 minutes or less by subway to get to the city center, which I thought was quite reasonable. The facilities were clean and trendy, which I liked. The large communal bath, only big enough for two people, was always crowded and required a wait, but I figured it was better than not having one at all. However, regarding the cleaning service, it would have been better if they had communicated more clearly that requests needed to be made the day before. After two days, I asked for cleaning at the front desk when I was heading out, but it was refused. I think a bit more flexibility in their policy would be beneficial. Anyway, the overall facilities were decent, and I would be willing to stay here again in the future.

Amazing
RraiderFacilities: The classic quality of a long-standing luxury brand.
Hygiene: Impeccable, as expected in Japan.
Environment: Right above the railway station.
Service: First-class service quality! Surrounded by amazing food options! An indispensable choice when in Umeda! However, it's a bit pricey and the rooms are a bit small.
GGuest UserWhenever I have an early morning flight from Kansai Airport, I always stay here the night before. It's still the best option in terms of both price and time. It's not a traditional capsule hotel; these are large pods where you can actually stand up, and the bed is spacious. They provide makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, and lotion. There's also a hot bath to relax in, and a coin-operated washer/dryer combo. I've tried staying in Osaka and catching the first train, or staying in Rinku Town and taking the train or airport bus – both were exhausting, and I was always worried I'd miss my alarm. Staying here, people start packing and leaving around 5 or 6 AM, which helps me wake up. Since I'm a pretty sound sleeper, I actually quite like that.
MMingmingshitianshiThe room was good. Although small, it was enough for a family of three. I booked a twin room, but it didn't have a bathtub. The hotel switched me to a room with a tub. The bed was smaller, but still comfortable enough to sleep in. After soaking in the hot spring every day, there were free ice cream sticks to enjoy to your heart's content, and Yakult in the morning. For this alone, it deserves a full 5 stars. The only downside was that the hotel had too many tour groups, all Koreans, and their etiquette was quite poor. In the hot spring area, I saw an elderly Korean woman scrubbing dirt off herself in the pool, and some people spitting... My goodness! 🤦♀️
