Location: Excellent! Just 400 meters from the Naha Kūkō Station west exit. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and the amazing SAN-A mall is next door. Okinawa DFS is also directly behind the hotel.
Facilities: On the first floor, there's a free coffee machine and free manga for rent.
Downside: There's no smoking area either at the hotel entrance or inside the hotel itself. The designated smoking area is located in the hotel's parking lot.
Fantastic hotel. None of us, especially the kids, wants to leave the hotel at check-out.
They upgrade my room from level 6 to 9 premium club. It paid off to stay in an ocean facing room.
The room is clean and well maintained. Although this is not a new hotel (where lifts require cardkey) the rooms locks are cardkey based. Bed is a bit hard for me, but were just as hard for the other hotels i stayed there :^_^:.
The breakfast spread is wide and tasty. The restaurant can get crowded over weekend (but you can still managed to find a seat).
The beach lagoon is shallow and water is super clean and calm.
There are big malls/outlet, restaurants and super markets within 5~10 min drive.
It's around 20min drive to popular attractions like Okinawa world, Gandala valley, Chinen Park, Peace memorials, etc.
There is also free performance at 6pm on Fri/Sat evening, which IMO is better than those at theme parks.
The hotel gives 10% coupon for outlet and Iias mall (remember to use).
Note parking is still charged, at 550y per night, which seems to be standard for resort hotels in Okinawan (?)

This hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Asahibashi Station (Yui Rail Monorail) and a 15-minute ride to Naha Airport. It's also within walking distance of Naha's main shopping districts. There's a great bar on the top floor, and the breakfast is unique. It's definitely worth staying here.
Friendly staff. Good location in about the middle of the island with free parking. Clean and spacious with many plugs. Family mart down stairs.
Negatives are: gecko in the room, no bottled water, pillow with very little stuffing makes you feel like sleeping without a pillow. Cleaning is every 3 days and only if you put a sign up for it. Bathroom is typically small as Japanese standard, which is a loss because they could've made the room larger by merging the ”changing” room with the bathroom.
This was an absolutely flawless experience! Taking a WeChat Uber from the airport was very affordable, and the entire check-in process was incredibly smooth. For this price point, the experience was truly satisfying. The hotel environment is also fantastic; it's no wonder it's on Asia's list of best sea-view hotels. The service is excellent; they're always responsive. Every time I called housekeeping, they arrived within five minutes. The only minor issue is that transportation isn't the most convenient, but this hotel is really for enjoying the facilities and the beautiful views. There's a bus from the hotel's parking lot that goes to the city for dining and to Naha Airport, and Uber rides are quite quick to arrange as well.
The reason to go to this hotel is because it is extremely convenient and has a great view. We came here last year, but it was cheaper last year. We were surprised to learn that the car parking is now something you have to pay, which wasn't the case last year. Seems like a very cheap decision on their part considering the hotel is already pretty expensive. Also be prepared, the room will not be the newest or cleanest. It had a bit of mold on the wall around the AC unit, and the walls needed to be repainted and fixed on some parts.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially because of the spa facilities. The spa includes a sauna, a pool, an onsen, a cold bath, showers, and everything is very clean and well-maintained. A special mention goes to the fact that the spa is tattoo-friendly for both men and women. I have three medium-sized tattoos on my arms and saw other women who were even more tattooed than me — it was never an issue. I double-checked at the front desk, and they confirmed that tattoos are accepted. I'm highlighting this because I saw some other reviews saying the spa wasn't tattoo-friendly, but that was not my experience at all.
The only downside I found is that the rooms are a bit noisy — you can easily hear what's going on in the hallways throughout the day, which is unfortunate. Also, the hotel is not exactly close to the city center; it's about a 15–20 minute walk.
Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the spa! Oh, and the bathrooms are nice haha!
The location is great, right in the centre of the American Valley, 5 mins walk to the sunset beach. lots of cafe and restaurants around. They offer free Onsen. The breakfast is quite good. Staff are very friendly. Also got Limousine to the airport. Had a very lovely stay there.
🏨 EM Healthy Fermented Lifestyle Resort Review
My stay at the EM Healthy Fermented Lifestyle Resort was generally clean and well-equipped. The front desk staff were polite, and although their English was limited, basic communication was manageable.
However, as a mother traveling with a two-year-old, this experience left me extremely disappointed and uneasy. We returned to the hotel close to 10 pm that evening, and my child, tired from the journey, became irritable and cried for about 8 to 10 minutes. While I was trying to soothe him, there was a knock on the door, and a note was left outside that read: ”If you cannot control your child's crying, you should not stay at this hotel.”
This handling of the situation shocked me. It's perfectly natural for children to cry occasionally in unfamiliar environments, and hotels, as spaces that accommodate all kinds of travelers, should have basic understanding and tolerance. This note not only lacked empathy but also conveyed a sense of rejection and blame. For families with young children, this accommodation was unfriendly and not a good choice to stay again.
👶 If you are a family traveling with a young child, I suggest you carefully consider whether to stay at this hotel. The journey is already difficult enough; what we need more is understanding and support, not indifference and blame.

Decently sized room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It’s a good place to stay if you have rented your own car. Carpark for 1700yen per day. In its lobby there is a Familymart so and a souvenir store so overall it’s a convenient place!
Didn’t get a chance to really explore its amenities as I’m out most of the days, but I would recommend for its price!

MM272330****Pros:
1. The hotel is close to the Cape Manza scenic spot, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
2. The hotel offers a wide range of water activities, including but not limited to banana boats, jet skis, an inflatable water park, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises. If you're not planning on visiting the outer islands, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here.
Cons:
1. The hotel is a bit old. The lobby has no air conditioning 🥵, and the room decor and furnishings feel dated. The shower pressure in the bathroom 🚿 isn't great either.
2. The outdoor pool closes at 6 PM, and the beach only stays open until 5 PM. I won't even mention other times, but Okinawa right now is scorching hot and sunny. The only time you can really enjoy the pool or ocean without getting baked is closer to sunset (unless you don't mind the sun, then never mind what I said). But then you only get to play for a short while before you have to leave!! 😅
Kkelvin.likes.cheeseUnexpectedly Perfect Stay at Southwest Grand Hotel! 🌟
We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel.
🛏️ Stylish & Photogenic Rooms
The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results!
🍳 Breakfast That Delights Every Palate
The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them!
📍 Prime Location
Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central!
🍽️ Vibrant Evenings
As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience.
💭 Still Dreaming About It
Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!
MM481082****The hotel clearly shows its age but is very well-maintained and clean. The room key is a charming, retro seahorse design (be careful not to lose it, as there's a 1000 JPY replacement fee!). The hotel's scenery is absolutely stunning, and the public areas are beautiful. If you miss breakfast, you can have lunch instead; while the selection isn't vast, the food is quite good. The only downside is that it doesn't feel very 'resort-like,' I'm not sure if this is typical for hotels in Japan, but it lacks the relaxed vibe of Southeast Asian resorts. Beach chairs and umbrellas both cost extra. The outdoor pool is too small and closes by 6 PM, and swimming in the sea is also prohibited quite early. The indoor pool, however, is lovely, but it only opens at 10 AM. A real letdown for swimming enthusiasts!
LLiulangjinxingHoshinoya's service was first-rate. I highly recommend the horseback riding, which was a unique experience. The infinity pool is beautiful, and there are plenty of snorkeling spots nearby. The kids had a blast, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was plentiful, and the surroundings were beautiful. The only downside was the Wi-Fi wasn't working, and they couldn't fix it. The hotel immediately offered to change rooms, but I didn't consider it due to my heavy luggage. Even if I did, the cost of cleaning wouldn't be cheap. They suggest better equipment management, and Ctrip did everything they could to accommodate. Thank you so much! This was the only time I wanted to give a negative review, but I changed my mind because of the excellent service at Hoshinoya. I maintain my high rating and recommend it!
2203978****Stepping into the room was absolutely breathtaking; the view was stunning, with the white church right outside the window ⛪️. On the hotel's beach, during low tide, you could see little fish swimming and crabs scurrying in the glass-like water – it was adorable! For breakfast, you could choose between Japanese or Western style.
The hotel has a shuttle service that runs regularly to and from the Hoshino Resorts Banyan Tree Iriomote, allowing guests to enjoy their 8 pools. Right next door to the hotel is the famous Hoshino Coffee, a must-try.
GGuest UserSince 2015, we have visited this hotel numerous times and always enjoyed its wide array of amenities. The hotel features a game room, public bath, spa, and sauna, ensuring guests have plenty of ways to relax and unwind. Additionally, it offers a diverse menu of activities, including unique marine sports, making it perfect for those seeking adventure. Situated within the Okinawa National Beach Park, the hotel provides easy access to the beach, allowing guests to step out and enjoy the beautiful coastline.
The hotel also houses three stores, offering convenient shopping options at any time. We especially appreciated receiving free coupons when room service wasn’t required. Breakfast at the hotel is truly exceptional, with a variety of choices available. We particularly enjoyed the sushi bowls served on two mornings during our stay. The dining area is thoughtfully designed, with both indoor and outdoor seating that ensures privacy between tables. Dining while gazing at the stunning sea view was a delightful experience.
However, one issue marred our otherwise pleasant stay. On the night of our arrival, two family members used the public bath and were informed that the fee was 300 yen per person. Yet, upon checkout, we discovered we had been charged 1800 yen for their visit. Despite asking the receptionist twice for clarification, she insisted this was the correct charge for two people. My family members noted that other guests had paid 300 yen in cash before entering the bath, but since they didn’t have cash on hand, the fee was billed to our room. This discrepancy felt unfair and left us disappointed.
Overall, despite this billing issue, we greatly enjoyed our time at Rizza Sea Park Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
DDarkwhiteThe location is great, right in the centre of the American Valley, 5 mins walk to the sunset beach. lots of cafe and restaurants around. They offer free Onsen. The breakfast is quite good. Staff are very friendly. Also got Limousine to the airport. Had a very lovely stay there.
KKirill 科力尔The hotel is located near beautiful and clean Sesoko beach with marvellous sea abundant with great variety of fish. A perfect location for swimming and snorkeling.
Sesoko beach and fantastic view thereof from our balcony has been a huge, but unfortunately the only advantage of the hotel.
If you don’t rent a car, you have to be ready for the situation when you are unable to leave the hotel at all. It’s very hard to call a taxi either via Uber or even via local taxi app “Go”. The hotel staff does not provide too much help with this issue either, even when requested to book a taxi to the airport (to be fair hotel concierge finally managed to arrange a car for us, but it arrives 30 minutes late, despite our request being extended at least 12 hours before the planned departure).
The hotel management is apparently aware of the transport inconvenience for their guests, but do not seem to care about that at all: they’ve chosen the easiest way “to cope” with the problem: just smile and say “sorry”.
There’s another advantage of such approach for the hotel: if guests cannot leave the hotel easily, they wouldn’t have much lunch/dining choice other than having meals in the hotel.
And here we come to another issue with the hotel: a very mediocre choice of dining options (no Japanese cuisine options at all) and extremely poor menu (with even poorer service) in the only available lunch venue.
Breakfasts are below expectations as well: absolutely same food every morning (the only change from day to day: fried salmon/fried mackerel), no fresh fish/sea-food (we’re still in Japan, aren’t we?), almost no choice of fruits.
Verdict: a very overrated hotel, pretty mediocre itself, but located beside the gorgeous sea.
DDajiI booked the Beach House zone with 2 bedrooms and 1 living room, and overall, it was a wonderful stay. The room condition was excellent—very clean, beautiful, and elegantly designed, with a stunning sea view. The facilities were well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed.
One minor issue was that at night, when closing the bathroom door, there was a wind noise, so we had to keep the bathroom door open while sleeping. Transportation between the main building and the Beach House was convenient with a golf cart service. Additional costs included a parking fee and a resort fee of 300 yen per person per night.
Breakfast around 7:30 AM was quite busy, but I really liked their online queue system, which allowed us to reserve our spot virtually without waiting in front of the restaurant.
The resort had three swimming pools. The first pool, located right next to the sea, was disappointing—it was very dirty, with algae at the bottom. Another issue was that the edge of this pool facing the sea was too deep; anyone under 160 cm would not be able to stand, even though it’s the side with the best sunset view. The second pool was located slightly higher up, but we didn’t use it. The third was an indoor pool, which we also didn’t try.
Staff service was excellent. They spoke English and Japanese fluently, and some could even communicate in Chinese.
Around the hotel, there were also quite a few good restaurants within easy reach, which was very convenient.
Overall, I was very impressed with almost everything, except for the cleanliness of the swimming pool.
AAnonymous UserIt is convenient to reach the resort via express bus from Naha Bus Terminal or from the airport. Bus 117 goes directly to the resort front lobby, a 2.5 hours Bus ride as we did not drive. Once you alighted from the bus, you are greeted by the emerald-coloured sea, made me felt so relaxed and worth the bus ride. The room is big and overlooked the sea, I can sit at the balcony and enjoy the view with a cup of tea all day long. The resort is within the Ocean Expo Park, so can just walk to the Okinawa Chutaumi Aquarium and the various sites. The Emerald beach is right in front of the resort and can just walk over after breakfast to enjoy the cool sea breeze and sea water. We will definitely stay at this resort again if we come back to okinawa again.
