This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple.
Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee.
I would recommend!
Many Thanks :)
It is a smaller hotel, so you may have to wait a long time for the only receptionist to handle a phone call or other matter, and so ... like me ... you will just stand at the reception for over ten minutes.
The rooms are standard and there is nothing to complain about. The beds are soft, which I personally do not like, but that is a matter of personal preference.
Breakfast is probably standard for the country.
The room was great value for money. The surrounding is very convenient. Downstairs is full of food from all over the world. Lots of Asian food too. The front desk and accommodation are separated. Try not to bring your luggage to the front desk. Take it after you have the key. Then the female waiter at the front desk had a very average attitude. The fat man is very good. Help solve any problems.
Where to start, the room was extremely spacious with cooking facilities, great shower and a comfy bed and pillows. Ideal for a 4 night stay. There was also free washing and drying facilities on the mezzanine floor.
The breakfast was good with a varied selection of breads, juices and salad, meats and cheeses. There were also protein juices and Bucks Fizz should you so choose.
The staff were also very helpful and friendly.
The location was ideal for getting around town too although there were not any decent restaurants in the vicinity that we found. We ate in the city center most days.
All in all a great stay and a place I would recommend.
We booked this on on Trip.com and the site stressed the importance of calling the hotel to confirm you were checking in. This is nonsense as we were told this was absolutely no necessary by hotel staff when I called.
I highly recommend this hotel. It is located right next to the Danube River and only a 1-minute walk to Vaci Street, making it very convenient to get around. Although the overall facilities and decoration are relatively old, it is very comfortable, and the various services and room cleaning are also timely. The price is very competitive, so we canceled our Aiabnb and moved here.
A great hotel in a convenient location. The room was quite big and cozy, and quiet. The spa was nice and included different amenities (pool, saunas, steam room). One thing to improve are the slippers provided. Combined with the water on the floor of the spa makes slipping very easy.
Matild Palace in Budapest is a true gem that offers an unforgettable stay. The hotel perfectly blends historical elegance with modern luxury, making it a standout destination. The rooms are beautifully appointed, offering comfort and style, with breathtaking views of the city. Its central location is ideal for exploring the vibrant heart of Budapest.
We stayed in this hotel for five nights, mainly to attend an exhibition. It is very close to the exhibition, only 5 minutes' walk away, but it is quite far from the city center, so you need to take a taxi or walk 20 minutes to the subway entrance to take the subway. The overall hotel room facilities are pretty good and clean, and the service attitude of the service staff is also very good. If you need to attend an exhibition, you can recommend this room, and the total price is not expensive, it is quite cost-effective.
The hotel is well located to walk around and there are great places to eat nearby. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and river.
The hotel is very nice in the entrance with a dramatically beautiful lobby, but the rooms are small, dark and in my case not very clean.
Before I keep with the negative aspects, I’d like to make a special remark to Mr. Janos who was the most helpful person and so willing to help and gave us the best recommendations, including best running route!!!
I arrived at 7am and was able to change and go for a run before my room was ready as early as 11am!! Thank you for that!!!!
Back to the negative:
My room didn’t have a bath (my friend’s on the same floor did 🥲) and the furniture was old and kind of sad.
The worst was the shower. It was so tiny and badly designed that it was impossible to use the shampoo without getting it all washed away.
Breakfast was very good, specially if you are an early bird like me and can enjoy the 7am opening service with fresh bread, amazing eggs and the cauliflower which was my ultimate favorite!!
All in all, pleasant stay, made much better by Janos!!!!!

Amazing
GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. They offered us a complimentary upgrade. Great facilities at the hotel, including billiard and gym room for free. The room was spacious, the bathroom was gigantic. The toiletries they offered are from penhaligons. The breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of choices. A very exceptional experience. Will definitely come back.
AAnastasiiaThank you for a perfect stay. Quiet place with a picturesque view, thermal pools, not far from historical city center. I will recommend this hotel for a nice vacation in Budapest.

MMayya8My favorite stay during a 20 days trip in four different countries in Europe! The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel itself was fantastic, from decor to location to amenities, cleanliness and comfort. Would 100% come back again!

SSabsKebabsThe hotel is gorgeous!! Breakfast spread was alright; nothing too special but the architecture of the space was very lovely. The live classical music was an added bonus.
We had issues with the shower and after two attempts to fix it, we were moved to another room. We appreciated the gesture.
The weather was extremely hot and it was very unpleasant to be out but we were able to walk down to the port in 20 mins, so the location was great.
We tried to get in a spa treatment but it was fully booked, we should've pre-booked before arriving!
All in all, a lovely few days.
MMiss KatMy experience here as AMAZING.
1. Location was perfect. Right across from the Opera House and there is a subway station entry right outside of the hotel
2. Facility: this is a newly built hotel (I think they only opened a year ago). Every thing is stylish and beautiful. Consistent with the W Hotels aesthetic.
3. Service: the staff was super friendly and thoughtful. We were celebrating our anniversary and they offered some chocolate and dessert in the room and when we dined there!!
4. They only have one restaurant there that serves Asian fusion at night and break in the morning. I would give it a 4 out of 5.
Overall one of our favorites stays ever.
DDanny BeansMy wife and I have just concluded a wonderful stay at the Prestige Hotel in Budapest, and we couldn't be more satisfied.
Our room was impeccable: elegant, meticulously maintained, and equipped with every comfort. It struck a perfect balance between classic style and modernity, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere right from the moment we stepped inside.
But what truly elevated our experience was the service: attentive, professional, and consistently friendly. Every member of the staff went above and beyond, making our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We genuinely felt welcomed and pampered.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to the TRIP.com team, who managed our booking with efficiency and precision, helping to make everything seamless.
Our sincere thanks to the Prestige Hotel for making us feel so at home in one of Europe's most captivating cities. We will certainly be back!
