I think this place offers incredible value for money. For our family of three, having a two-bedroom setup with one king-sized bed (1.8m) and two single beds (1.2m) was so comfortable. Plus, the balcony was huge, and the breakfast selection was quite good. We had executive privileges, so we could choose between dining on the 9th floor or the 1st floor. The 9th floor was quieter, while the 1st floor had more variety. The complimentary chocolates each day were a nice touch – 66% cocoa, just the right amount of bitterness, exactly to my liking. We were really lucky with the weather for the first two days; it was sunny and the beach was beautiful. Lying on the sand, feeling the cool sea breeze, and reading a novel – those days were truly relaxing. The last two days were rainy, which wasn't as much fun. A delightful surprise was the daily allowance of one million Vietnamese dong to spend. We hopped between the three bars, practically enjoying unlimited juice and snacks!

Excellent! The hotel met my expectations, with delicious and varied breakfasts. To those who complain about repetitive food, I wonder if it's any different at home? :) We were given a Deluxe room with a pool view, even though we didn't request it. We visited during the off-season (August), and 6,000 rubles for a room with breakfast is a steal!!! The pool was clean, and there were plenty of sun loungers during the off-season. You can grab towels yourself at the pool and beach. The beach is excellent, just a 5-minute walk away. The grounds are lush with palm trees. Free bicycles are available, as well as a kids' club. A buggy takes you to Grand World, which is about a 10-minute walk. To get back, you just press a button at the stop and they'll pick you up. There's a supermarket nearby. There's also a convenient pass-through to the neighboring Wyndham hotel. Transfers to Safari and the park are also available on a schedule. Free airport transfer is provided.

Staying in a swim-up room was absolutely fantastic, it felt like having a private pool! The service was top-notch; the staff were incredibly, incredibly, incredibly wonderful. When checking out, they informed me that as a member, I could get a 200,000 VND discount on room service expenses. The staff also told me that the hotel offers discounted Grab rides. It's super close to the airport, which is why we booked our last two nights here. It would be even better if the room provided mosquito coils.

Evelyn Villa - Sun Tropical Village Phu Quoc Near Khem Beach

Good to all travelers! We stayed at this villa as a family. We liked the villa very much, we rate it 10/10. The house's design is thoughtful. The rooms are well thought out and well equipped. The bathrooms are very nice. The landscaping with tropical trees and flowers is great. Bougainvillea is great. The night lighting of the villa is very impressive. Every three days there is a complete cleaning and replacement of all towels. The linen is new, dry and spotlessly white. There is a washing machine. It helped a lot with rinsing beach clothes, T-shirts, and beach towels. Everything was dry in the morning. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, but I would advise the manager to change one of the pans, add 8 earthenware cups instead of plastic ones and 10 pieces of small teaspoons and add 8 large plates for the main course. In this case, there will be nothing to complain about. Our extended family was comfortable staying in this villa. Everything is completely consistent with the description. The location is in a quiet location in the complex of the same Sun Tropical Village villas. Security with a barrier around the perimeter, video cameras and more. Everything is great, but take into account one very important point. This is a problem common to the entire island of Phu Quoc. The island is preparing to host a major economic summit in 2027. The whole island is one big construction and reconstruction project. And not all the villas in this complex are ready for operation. At the moment, only 30% are involved. The rest are being put into operation very quickly. With us, one of the neighboring villas was fully equipped by about 40 workers, from concrete to complete furniture and landscaping in 12 days. The pace is impressive. So, if your villa is nearby, then you will have noise problems. I talked to one of these residents, who complained that he had a villa for rent for a month, and nearby repairs. Fortunately, during our stay with Evelyn, preparatory work was just beginning. Tips for nearby restaurants - Chinese Fu Lu Kang (excellent work by a professional chef, instant service, full Chinese menu, except for Peking duck, we recommend absolutely everything). Grill Station is a decent menu when you want to switch from Vietnamese cuisine. Com Nha Vietnamese Cuisine is the latest restaurant on the way to the beach. Very affordable prices and excellent food quality. Better than on the beach - Draft Beer Bai Khem. We used the last one when we were at the beach all day. I recommend all the listed restaurants. KingKong has the best currency exchange, while Khem has a 1% worse exchange rate. If you skip the transport to KingKong, then the course is the same. The general advice on Khem's vacation location is if finances allow, then Premier Residence, New Wolrd, JW Marriott. That is, the territories that were closed and completed for reconstruction with half board. The latter is important because Vietnamese cuisine is sparse and monotonous. At the same time, you are guaranteed that you do not have large-scale repairs with the demolition of floors behind your wall. We recommend the Shop-center and farm of sea and river pearls - Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm. You can even book a transfer from the hotel if you really intend to buy something. Service: very good. Concierge is a very polite and helpful employee. Our respect. Rooms: perfect Two bicycles in free use. The manager needs to fix the seat on one of the bicycles and lubricate the chains. Internet - WIFI is fast without freezes. I recommend this villa for 10/10, but I advise you to check about possible repairs before renting.

Located right in the heart of Phu Quoc's Duong Dong, it's super convenient to get to nearby places like King Kong Mart and many great restaurants. But what really stands out are the infinity pool and private beach right in front of the hotel, and the 5-star service. The breakfast was also top-notch, with every dish carefully prepared.

Stayed for 3 nights. The two queen beds provided ample space for our family of four, and the ocean view was absolutely stunning. While the room was cleaned daily, the pillows had a persistent musty/sweaty smell that was quite unpleasant throughout our stay. Also, the air conditioner occasionally made loud noises, which was disruptive, and the drain in the bathroom was slow. I wanted to request a room change but decided against it to avoid the hassle. It felt like this room had been used a lot, and overall, it was disappointing. The pool water quality was also poor, making proper swimming impossible. However, the Saturday bubble event was a big hit with the kids! I just wish they had stuck to the event times. The chocolate hour wasn't something we felt the need to use daily. The breakfast restaurant was very crowded, and the food was just average. I walked to the main entrance once, and it took about 15 minutes. Note that the buggy service stops running after 6 PM.

Overall I was satisfied with my stay at Movenpick residences. There were some things I think could be worked on. Cons 1. The wait time for the buggy to go to the hotel side was too long. Sometimes the drivers also refused as they were dropping off people at the villas. Walking wouldn't be an issue normally but during the rainy season it was a bit of an inconvenience. 2. On three occasions during breakfast times my seat was taken by others or my food/drinks were cleared away whilst I was getting more food to eat. Staff assign tables to guests but I observed on many occasions people just walking in and sitting down by themselves. 3. The location is quite far from the shopping area/markets. However if you plan to relax with a beach on your doorstep this is the place. 4.Good choice of restaurants and bars but prices can be quite expensive. As a result of the location there isn't much options for lunch and dinner elsewhere unless you take a tax.i Pros 1. Facilities are very nice and well maintained. The gym was excellent as well as the spa facilities. Seems to be a lot of options for families too which is great 2. Having the private beach area withing walking distance from the hotel is excellent. 3. Great choice of food for breakfast and different options everyday for variety. The quality of the food was also great. 4. Chocolate hour is also a nice tough with a good selection and variety of snacks. 5. Arranging transfers and shuttle buses to various places was very convenient.

Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc

Overpromoted as a 5-Star Property; Operates Closer to a 3.5-Star Baseline As someone evaluating hotel standards against hospitality industry benchmarks, my recent stay at Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc highlighted a significant discrepancy between its official rating and actual operational execution. While the hardware and location offer strong fundamentals, systemic operational deficiencies prevent it from delivering a true 5-star experience. 1. Guest Services & Operational Deficiencies Arrival & Porters: Upon late-night arrival, no luggage assistance or bell service was available. For a property positioned at this tier, standard night-shift staffing should cover arrival logistics seamlessly. Front Desk Communication & Policy Consistency: Guest account policies were inconsistent. Room charging was permitted at the pool bar on Day 1, but rejected on Day 2 with a requirement for a cash/card deposit—a policy that was never communicated during check-in. Preventative Maintenance Failures: HVAC Systems: The room unit was set to 16°C but struggled to maintain an ambient temperature below approximately 25°C, pointing to poor maintenance or underperforming compressor units. Access Control: Our keycard reader experienced total power failure due to a dead battery. Despite previously flagging door lock issues to reception, preventative servicing was delayed, leaving us locked out of the room. Plumbing/Drainage: The bathroom drainage system backed up, resulting in water overflow into the main toilet area—a clear maintenance oversight and hygiene risk. 2. Housekeeping & Hygiene Standards Housekeeping fell noticeably short of premium hotel benchmarks. Linen replacement protocols were not followed, personal items were left unarranged, and the baseline level of cleanliness across the room was below expectations for a resort in this category. 3. Facilities & Key Highlights Pool & Landscape: The central swimming pool layout is excellent, exceptionally child-friendly, and stands out as the highlights of the physical property. Spa Services (Thala Spa): Executed at a very high standard. Therapists displayed strong technical proficiency and professional service delivery. Location & Atmosphere: Advantageous for guests seeking a quiet, uncrowded, and serene environment. Strong scenic ocean views from high floor units. 4. Guest Demographic & F&B Note The property’s F&B and service orientation appear heavily tailored toward Korean tour groups, which constitute the majority of the current guest demographic. While not inherently negative, prospective travelers looking for a broader international menu selection or atmosphere should keep this in mind. Final Verdict: The physical site and amenities have great potential, but housekeeping consistency, preventative maintenance, and staff communication require immediate attention from management to justify a 5-star rating.

Every room in this resort is a large, standalone villa. Breakfast is rich and varied; I highly recommend the beef pho and baguette sandwiches. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the airport, and the hotel beach is beautiful. Overall, this villa hotel is quite good for the price. However, if you're coming for the amusement park or safari, it's not worth it. Forget about Shanghai Disney or Beijing Universal Studios; any Sunac, Fantawild, or Chimelong park in China is much better than what Phu Quoc has to offer.
