Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

Great

I think this place offers incredible value for money. For our family of three, having a two-bedroom setup with one king-sized bed (1.8m) and two single beds (1.2m) was so comfortable. Plus, the balcony was huge, and the breakfast selection was quite good. We had executive privileges, so we could choose between dining on the 9th floor or the 1st floor. The 9th floor was quieter, while the 1st floor had more variety. The complimentary chocolates each day were a nice touch – 66% cocoa, just the right amount of bitterness, exactly to my liking. We were really lucky with the weather for the first two days; it was sunny and the beach was beautiful. Lying on the sand, feeling the cool sea breeze, and reading a novel – those days were truly relaxing. The last two days were rainy, which wasn't as much fun. A delightful surprise was the daily allowance of one million Vietnamese dong to spend. We hopped between the three bars, practically enjoying unlimited juice and snacks!

Great amenities, with airport transfers from hotel to airport and buggy service to nearby attractions at Grand World. Service staff were polite. Breakfast had a great variety of selections. The only downer we had was the hotel room’s toilet bowl plumping system that caused a flood pee poop situation towards the end of our stay. First flood happened in the middle of the night, called in the repair team, and they fixed it. Early morning, the flood happened again when we used the toilet. Upon the second repair, the toilet bowl and floor was left in this state where poop stain toilet bowl and floor has left is unable to use our toilet before our check-out. Despite the great experience we had on the other aspect, this incident has left uncertain on returning to this hotel.

Our first time experiencing this place at SOL was simply amazing! The private beach and pool with breathtaking sunset views were absolutely stunning. The service was excellent, and the staff were young, cheerful, and incredibly quick and enthusiastic to help us. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a thank you note along with a dessert from SOL. Additionally, SOL offers complimentary afternoon tea and a variety of services like yoga, a gym, and a spa. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. It's definitely a worthwhile experience for a relaxing getaway, and I will certainly be back for future holidays. Thank you, SOL, for such a wonderful experience!

Evelyn Villa - Sun Tropical Village Phu Quoc Near Khem Beach

Good to all travelers! We stayed at this villa as a family. We liked the villa very much, we rate it 10/10. The house's design is thoughtful. The rooms are well thought out and well equipped. The bathrooms are very nice. The landscaping with tropical trees and flowers is great. Bougainvillea is great. The night lighting of the villa is very impressive. Every three days there is a complete cleaning and replacement of all towels. The linen is new, dry and spotlessly white. There is a washing machine. It helped a lot with rinsing beach clothes, T-shirts, and beach towels. Everything was dry in the morning. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, but I would advise the manager to change one of the pans, add 8 earthenware cups instead of plastic ones and 10 pieces of small teaspoons and add 8 large plates for the main course. In this case, there will be nothing to complain about. Our extended family was comfortable staying in this villa. Everything is completely consistent with the description. The location is in a quiet location in the complex of the same Sun Tropical Village villas. Security with a barrier around the perimeter, video cameras and more. Everything is great, but take into account one very important point. This is a problem common to the entire island of Phu Quoc. The island is preparing to host a major economic summit in 2027. The whole island is one big construction and reconstruction project. And not all the villas in this complex are ready for operation. At the moment, only 30% are involved. The rest are being put into operation very quickly. With us, one of the neighboring villas was fully equipped by about 40 workers, from concrete to complete furniture and landscaping in 12 days. The pace is impressive. So, if your villa is nearby, then you will have noise problems. I talked to one of these residents, who complained that he had a villa for rent for a month, and nearby repairs. Fortunately, during our stay with Evelyn, preparatory work was just beginning. Tips for nearby restaurants - Chinese Fu Lu Kang (excellent work by a professional chef, instant service, full Chinese menu, except for Peking duck, we recommend absolutely everything). Grill Station is a decent menu when you want to switch from Vietnamese cuisine. Com Nha Vietnamese Cuisine is the latest restaurant on the way to the beach. Very affordable prices and excellent food quality. Better than on the beach - Draft Beer Bai Khem. We used the last one when we were at the beach all day. I recommend all the listed restaurants. KingKong has the best currency exchange, while Khem has a 1% worse exchange rate. If you skip the transport to KingKong, then the course is the same. The general advice on Khem's vacation location is if finances allow, then Premier Residence, New Wolrd, JW Marriott. That is, the territories that were closed and completed for reconstruction with half board. The latter is important because Vietnamese cuisine is sparse and monotonous. At the same time, you are guaranteed that you do not have large-scale repairs with the demolition of floors behind your wall. We recommend the Shop-center and farm of sea and river pearls - Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm. You can even book a transfer from the hotel if you really intend to buy something. Service: very good. Concierge is a very polite and helpful employee. Our respect. Rooms: perfect Two bicycles in free use. The manager needs to fix the seat on one of the bicycles and lubricate the chains. Internet - WIFI is fast without freezes. I recommend this villa for 10/10, but I advise you to check about possible repairs before renting.

Pros: -The location was really nice if you want to visit Night Market or Sunset Town. -The view from my room was stunning. -The amenities in the hotel were great! -The gentleman at the tour table was amazing and helpful! -The servers and waitress/waiters in the restaurant were outstanding! Awesome customer service! -The SPA and customer service was absolutely wonderful! It is a must visit! Cons: -The room could use an update. The tub and shower needed to be cleaned better. You could see the dirt in both. -Lack of security: I was a solo traveler this time. I lost my key but wasn't sure if I left it in the room or someplace else and asked for new ones at the front desk. Typically when that happens at ANY hotel, they void the previous room key and provide new ones. Well, the guy at the desk 1st said I needed to pay 100000vnd for a new set of keys. I immediately told him that I was not paying for another set of keys to a hotel room. Then, he had a bell hop guy use a ”master key” I assumed to open my door. I was flabbergasted! I immediately did not feel safe that night knowing a bell hop or anyone else could open the door to my room. For someone who travels alone at times, and a women, I have NEVER seen that before. I checked out the next morning. I highly suggest to the hotel that you change this!

Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc

This Mövenpick hotel offers great value for money! The prices are reasonable, and both the facilities and activities are of a good standard. My favorite was the infinity pool – I could spend an entire day just relaxing by the pool and taking photos. The hotel also offers a wide variety of activities. Joining the morning yoga session, stretching with a sea view, completely refreshed my mind and body; it truly felt like a perfect vacation. What impressed me even more was the quality of the dining! Whether it was the live cooking at the restaurant or ordering room service, the food quality was top-notch, with no disappointments. The dishes were exquisitely prepared and authentically delicious. Enjoying gourmet food in the comfort of my air-conditioned room was a real treat. However, the one surprise (or shock) was that at breakfast time, I felt like I was instantly transported to Mumbai! There were so many Indian families in the dining area. They were very uninhibited, loud, and chatted away, completely oblivious to others trying to relax nearby. Their sense of appropriate volume in a public space was quite peculiar. If you're looking for absolute peace and quiet during your stay, I highly recommend going to breakfast early to avoid the crowds, or wearing headphones in public areas.

Very disappointing experience. This hotel simply does not meet the standards of a 5-star property, mainly because of its front desk and sales team. We originally booked three rooms. Based on the room rates available, upgrading to a 3-bedroom villa should have required only around RM100 in additional payment. However, the front desk insisted on charging us more than RM1,000 extra for just one night and refused to negotiate or offer any reasonable solution. The problems continued during check-in. We had booked two king rooms and one twin room, but instead of informing us that the twin room was unavailable, the staff simply asked if we could accept another king room. When we declined, they suggested that we pay even more to stay at their other Mövenpick property instead of taking responsibility for the issue. The biggest disappointment was the front desk’s lack of professionalism and problem-solving ability. Every time we made or extended a booking through Trip.com, the platform confirmed our reservation and payment immediately, yet the hotel repeatedly claimed they “couldn’t see the booking” and asked us to contact Trip.com ourselves. We spent hours at the front desk on multiple occasions waiting for them to sort out issues that should have been handled internally. Every extension became the same frustrating process. To be fair, not all staff were bad. The buggy service team and most other hotel employees were friendly and helpful, and one gentleman at the front desk who wore glasses was polite and professional. Unfortunately, everyone else at the front desk, as well as the sales team, left a very poor impression. The villa itself was comfortable, although the housekeeping could have been more thorough. At this price point, I expected a smooth and professional 5-star experience. Instead, we experienced poor communication, weak management, and constant frustration. The excellent service from other departments could not make up for the failures of the front desk and sales team. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to the front desk management, staff training, and customer service.

The place is absolutely beautiful, and the beach offers some of the most stunning views. The service and villas are amazing, especially with the pool and the perfectly cool air conditioning. The buffet is delicious for both breakfast and dinner. I tried the pasta, burgers, salads, and the omelet for breakfast, all very tasty. The staff are friendly and respectful. Transportation to and from activities is free, as is the shuttle to the airport. The villas have a classic, not old, and spacious feel. The only downside was that the iron wasn't working, but they provided a replacement. Also, there's no washing machine, which might be important for some guests.

The villa was fantastic! We got a 3-bedroom villa and all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The villa pool is very clean without any bugs swimming in it. Buggy service was very on time as well, never had to wait long for them. In-villa dining was a really good experience too. We booked a private snorkelling trip with them and the service was good there too. Overall a fantastic stay, the only downside I would say is the bigger rooms’ aircon is not as strong as expected, especially in a hot island like Phu Quoc. This resort is not near any of the touristy place like Sunset Town or Grand World, but it is nothing a cab ride cannot solve. Highly recommend!
