We went to the Hotel Elephant bay for our honeymoon. They had prepared our room very nicely. Location was excellent. We saw elephants were bathing in the river while we having morning coffee. Food was really tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much Hotel Elephant Bay team❤️.

It's a very cozy banglow up the hills along the main road, convenient yet quite. the staff there is also welcoming to the guests. The restaurant manager who work in Heritance Kandalama before is so kind to refer us to his former friends in Kandalama when he knew our next destination is there. The hotel manager also gave us a tour about the hotel, telling interesting history and story of this facility, making this stay more delightful.

The hotel was accidentally confused with the neighbor, but did not regret, the elephants were first right under the balcony of the restaurant, where breakfast was taken, then moved to the pool (see from the pool and very close if you go down the staircase on the left), Then the females and elephants were brought to them, they could go down through the restaurant to the site, where more frequent tourists who do not live in the city come. If you are tired and don't want to get up early, you can go boldly at 9:30, just elephants will be everywhere (at the nearby hotel, at this hotel, at the restaurant, in the area where tourists and on the far shore, where palm trees). About breakfast : Standard omlet, pancakes, sausages, Indian cuisine. The rooms are clean, but few pillows (personally to me), the bath requires a small renovation(sweats are wipeed, ceiling to make) Staff polite and friendly

Nice property set back from the road, so it was quite. Nice large rooms with a great shower. Excellent breakfast. Manager and his wife were very accommodating and provided awesome customer service. A perfect stay for our Udawalawa safari that was arranged by the hotel.

A homestay specially set for safari. In fact, the landlord Max will contact you in advance about Safari. If you have a good communication, you can directly not book a room. We don't respond in time, so forget it. The room is a small bungalow with a small yard, very comfortable, the bed also has a mosquito net, although the air conditioner is not needed Sleep quality is OK, because I have to get up at 5 in the morning, Safari comes back to eat breakfast. In a word, Safari is great.

Maybe because this area is a relatively underdeveloped area, there is no high expectations, the health is very sloppy, the sheets are stained, and the room is relatively large. There is a swimming pool in the courtyard, some seem to be papaya trees. Breakfast is average. Walking from the hotel to see the elephant protection base, about ten minutes, it is worth going. The small shops on the roadside are all local restaurants, delicious and not expensive. The fruit shop bought papaya and watermelon, which were very sweet. I booked Safari at the hotel and picked it up at 5:30 in the morning. Jeep is not comfortable sitting in Yala, and the scenery on the road is beautiful. Although we didn't see the elephant group, our driver brother was simply a little smart, and he was receiving news all the way, taking us to continue to fly to places with animals, which was also a good experience.

It was a very nice hotel! this is a pretty extraordinary space. It makes me forget the reality and feels like I'm on a different planet. The building is beautiful, even when you wake up in the middle of the night. I felt happy ❤️ The food is delicious and the service is good even the water that you give me i'm sure it's boiled white water. I felt politeness, richness and luxury in everything 💞🫶
