Ramada Encore by Wyndham Gimpo HAN River Hotel

It's near to the Gaehwa station and near to travel to Gimpo airport as well. The room was quite standard but still cosy.Didn't use other amenities as we were only there for 2 nights. Getting back to the hotel from the train station is a nightmare if you miss the last 10:30pm bus. There were no taxi's around and me and my husband had a hard time otherwise.

Stayed just a night before visiting relatives near by. Rooms were clean and simple. If you're attending a convention at kintex, then it's a good place to stay. Looking for a ”romantic” getaway, might want to look around

We stayed at the residence side and I must say it is one of the best, if not the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in on all of our travels. Very spacious, clean and NEW!!! All the staff members were very attentive, especially the manager for the WiFi support was courteous and responsive. I would highly recommend this hotel for quality, service and value for the money. Having the 24-hr CU (mini mart) in the 1st floor of the hotel was very convenient. Special shout out to our housekeeping staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Just few minor suggestions to the hotel management: 1. Don’t need a calendar, but do need clocks in the living room and the bedroom. 2. Need a trash can in the kitchen/dining table area. 3. Would be good to have a small dish rack, since guests are required to do the dishes 4. The sliding door from the master bedroom to the showers flaps around when closed if the heater or air is on. Needs to somehow stabilize it, it doesn’t make noise trying to sleep. With just few minor improvements it would be a “perfect” place to stay!

The hotel location, the cleanliness, the inroom facility all are good. The main dis-appointed thing was that when I was there, I had waited for the hotel check in process. I understood about the check in time. Most of the hotel helped us to check in as early as possible if there was an available room. The receptionist (Julia) I have been attached the photos, avoided anyone to proceed check in. She was not helpful and good minded staff. When I was requesting her at 1 pm, she told me that I needed to pay early check in fee about 25% of room charges. Three minutes after she said (1.03pm), the another receptionist (if I was not wrong, Jay) helped us to check in. It meant that the previous staff Julia avoided to serve the customer. At the time of check out, I again met with Julia again. Although I requested to leave my baggage at the reception. She asked us to go other places and requested for it.

The reception and guidance service at the front desk is good, and there are many dining options nearby. Suitable for business travel. There is a cafe downstairs for temporary reception.

I was helping my mum to book this hotel. According to her feedback, the hotel is great and service is nice. She will stay in this hotel again if has a chance.

The facilities are old and the overall condition is not good. It seems to be okay to stay overnight on a business trip. Breakfast is buffet but you have to pay extra.

For a last minute booking the hotel was very accommodating. I was a bit skeptical with the first impression of the lobby giving a very motel vibe, as I went to my floor I was quite surprised as the look of the hallway was quite different than what I expected. Entering my room, I felt a very cozy and welcoming feeling (keep in mind). I do live in an apartment in another city in South Korea so I am used to the layouts of Korea apartments and I can say that the room was more of a studio type room with furniture than a hotel which for makes it more homey. Entering the room, they already provide indoor slippers. The layout with table and chairs and sink (what used to be a cooking area) gives it the studio apartment feeling. Very spacious and open and the TV (huge) is bigger than what most 5 star elegant hotels have. The bidet is on point and shower is a modern concept. They also provide a transformer for those who require or have electronics that require 110v charge.

There’s plenty to like about this hotel. Great location and gorgeous pools. However, there are two issues that ruined my experience. 1. The front desk doesn’t speak English. For a 4 star hotel next to an airport, this isn’t acceptable. I don’t blame the representatives though. It’s clearly a managerial decision. 2. Everything at the pool costs money. Chairs, beds, lounge chairs. No one uses them because no one wants to pay. It’s insulting. The property is great, but management doesn’t care about basic customer service.

The location was a little far from the nearest metro stations (juyeop and daehwa) but there were bus services with bus stops just a 3-5mins walk away from the hotel. Love the room, it was very clean and spacious. The pillow and bed were comfortable. I slept very well on all 3 nights. Despite being far from the metro stations, the area was close to a few shopping malls like Onemount and hyundai department store which had good shopping and food options. There was also a Starbucks right next to the hotel and a local mall with good brunch options right opposite the hotel. The staff were helpful and they told me that there was an airport limosine (bus 5600) that I could take from the bus stop in front of the hotel and advised me on the bus timings. It really saved me a lot of inconvenience trying to naviagate my way to incheon airport using the metro. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in goyang.
