My second stay at Swissotel Makkah, and once again, it was absolutely perfect.
From the moment I checked in until the time I checked out, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were professional, warm, and genuinely attentive to every detail. The service was seamless, the room was immaculate, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming.
I truly felt cared for throughout my entire stay. This hotel consistently delivers outstanding service and comfort. I am always impressed and will definitely be coming back again.
The hotel was great, clean, and staff is extremely welcoming & helpful… the location of the hotel is a bit far from the masjid al-Haram, however, the hotel has their own buss waiting right outside the hotel lobby operating 24/7 to drop you to Sheb Amer bus station… also the bus waits for you in section A platform C-23
We had plesant stay at Al Safwa Orchid hotel. It's not our first time there.
The hotel itself is spacious with many large lifts so you are not stuck when you go up or down for prayers. It's just in front of King AbdulAziz Gate and Umrah gate.
There are plenty of food places and shops at lower floors below the hotel reception and prices are competitive to other stores away from there.
This hotel was my first choice for my family's stay in Makkah and will always be.
Jumeirah Hotel was excellent in terms of facilities — everything is new, clean, and well-maintained. Credit where it’s due: the staff were genuinely outstanding, extremely attentive, and always eager to help. Service level is easily one of the best.
Location-wise, it’s around a 4–6 minute walk to Al Haram, which is acceptable. However, let’s be real — compared to the Clock Tower hotels, they are noticeably closer and more convenient, especially during peak prayer times.
Now, about the “Partial Haram View” — this needs honesty. We booked two Deluxe Rooms with Partial Haram View, but the view is technically there… if you really look for it 😅. The Haram is barely visible, and most of the view is dominated by unfinished construction. You’ll spend more time spotting the Haram than enjoying it.
Bottom line:
Excellent hotel, top-tier service, great facilities — but don’t book it expecting a meaningful Haram view. If proximity and view matter, Clock Tower hotels still win.
I recently stayed at this hotel and can confidently say that the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day of departure, everything was handled with exceptional professionalism, care, and attention to detail. The level of service provided truly felt outclass and made the stay both comfortable and memorable.
One of the most impressive aspects of the hotel was the cleanliness. Every area—whether it was the room, bathroom, corridors, or common spaces—was spotless and extremely well maintained. Housekeeping deserves special appreciation for their consistency and dedication. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, fresh towels were provided, and everything was arranged neatly, giving a real sense of comfort and hygiene.
The staff were outstanding. They were polite, respectful, and always willing to help with a warm and welcoming attitude. Any request or question was handled promptly and professionally, making us feel genuinely valued as guests. Their hospitality created a relaxed and positive environment throughout the stay.
The room itself was well equipped, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The bed was very comfortable, allowing for a restful sleep, and the overall atmosphere of the room was peaceful and pleasant. Everything worked perfectly, from lighting to amenities, which added to the stress-free experience.
Overall, everything about this hotel was perfect—from service and cleanliness to comfort and management. It is rare to find a place where all aspects are maintained at such a high standard. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality accommodation, whether for family, business, or religious travel.
I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. A truly excellent stay from start to finish.
Everything was outstanding, from the hotel reception staff to every detail. They truly excelled in every aspect: flexible service, cleanliness, and excellent manners. The rooms were spacious, and the service was quick and responsive. In short, this hotel deserves to be stayed at again.
Thank you, Hotel Fender 💐
The location of the hotel is fabulous
There are three routes to the masjid ul haram. One is exiting the lobby and turning left, walking up marriott and then turning right (you will see the haram to see what I mean) - then walk down the slight hill. The second is exiting the lobby, and walking left across the street, straight through hilton convention. The third is exiting the lobby, turning left and walking up the stairs that are next to Makkah Gate sign. You then turn left and head to haram down the escalators that everyone posts about online!
It is hilly using route one or three, but not really an issue for walking or pram users.
This is aside from two other ways to reach the haram: the marriott shuttle bus which drops you near conrad, near the I love Makkah area. Or, the golf buggy which takes you the same route as Walking Route One I mentioned above. Id recommend getting the buggy as its less crowded. The golf buggy comes to the same drop off spot to take you back. Shuttles buggys are really constant and timely, jus wait around. The marriott is opposite the Address hotels back entrance.
There are wonderful coffee shops if you climb the stairs as mentioned in my Walking Route 3 I mentioned above. Great area to take children to play and run around.
The mosque is part of the haram so every room has a live speaker during prayer time with mic volume to adjust. You can joim salaah from your room or go to the prayer room on floor 3.
Reception gave us a cheaper breakfast or dinner price than online voucher places.
Breakfast is average but convenient.
There is a cafe on ground floor that serves nice hot or cold food anytime in the day. A baskin Robbins freezer is also there.
Hotel staff and reception are lovely!!!
Stayed at Rose star hotel Jeddah and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and check-in was smooth. The facilities were good, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. A great option for anyone visiting Jeddah .
Lovely hotel very clean and calm and peaceful. Gym was smaller than expected and weights don’t go more than 20kg. Ac works great. The pillows were like balloons which wasn’t comfortable but overall stay was lovely.

GGULREZ SADIQ HUSSIAN SHAPOOMövenpick Hotel Makkah delivers a consistently strong four-star stay, anchored by an exceptional location steps from Al Masjid Al Haram. The property is well-managed, with comfortable rooms and dependable housekeeping standards.Service is professional and accommodating, particularly given the high guest volumes throughout the day.Facilities and dining are convenient and well-organized, though peak times can be busy.
Overall, it is a highly reliable choice for comfort and access, rated 4/5
GGuest UserGreat hotel. Nice staff and breakfast. Close to Haram too but does require a short walk (5 minutes). Our room had ana amazing view as well as the Sky Mussalla mashallah.
GGuest UserHuge thanks and appreciation to the receptionist, Sara! She was a wonderful example of dedicated nationals who go above and beyond to serve the guests of God (referring to pilgrims or visitors to holy sites) with such warmth, cheerfulness, and excellent service. My thanks also go to the buffet staff and our Saudi coffee server, Abdulmajeed, and the rest of the team. Thanks to everyone for a truly unique experience!
GGuest UserMy stay at Swissôtel Makkah was excellent in every aspect.
The hotel’s exceptional proximity to Al-Masjid Al-Haram is a major advantage, making it extremely convenient for prayers and Umrah without any transportation hassle.
One of the standout features is that the hotel offers two entrances: the main entrance and an additional side entrance, which allows for smooth and quick access in and out of the hotel. This is a very practical feature, especially during peak times.
The food was outstanding, with high quality and great variety. Most importantly, the restaurant staff were incredibly dedicated and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of.
Another point worth highlighting is the hotel’s flexibility and professionalism, as they kindly allowed us a late check-out extension of two hours, which was greatly appreciated and added to the overall comfort of our stay.
Overall, Swissôtel Makkah is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a prime location, exceptional service, and high-quality dining, providing a truly comfortable and memorable experience near the Holy Mosque.
AAulia BimoOverall the hotel staff & receptionist services was very great. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with the Majlis Restaurant & Cafe Staff services. They force us as the guest of the Raffles for any order with specific minimum order and payment, even though the time we visit is around 9.30 pm (local time), after the dinner.
Please take the act as appropriate for any staff that not provide good service and humble to the Hotel Guest.
Appreciated and thanks.
