This was the hotel I was most looking forward to on this trip, and we stayed for two nights. To be honest, I was a little disappointed. During the summer, it cost over 7,000 yen, including breakfast for two. The room was a bit small (the bath towel was on the bed because there was no other place to put it). It didn't have a balcony, and I regretted not booking a room with one (though it would have been even more expensive). The hotel is good for relaxing, but transportation is truly inconvenient. Especially on the last night, waiting for a taxi from Shimoda Port was maddening. And that evening (Saturday), we couldn't find any restaurants around Shimoda Port that didn't require reservations; most were closed. We almost went hungry! The various paid experiences at the hotel were quite good; we tried sea fishing and night viewing of fireflies, both of which required a taxi to Shimoda Port. The nearby aquarium is also worth a visit. The outdoor pool, which closes at 6 PM, we didn't even get to use. The service at resort hotels is generally good, but at this summer price, it really isn't good value for money. The nearby beach is very small (see last picture). It didn't look suitable for swimming, so although this hotel is close to the sea, it's only good for viewing it, not the kind of resort I imagined where you could stroll on the beach and swim in the sea directly. The path from the hotel to the pool is beautiful, and there are designated times and places for setting off fireworks; thankfully, there were hot springs to help us unwind.

The sea view is unbeatable, and it's a 5-6 minute walk from the station. They offer a shuttle service to the station upon checkout, by appointment. A centipede ran into my room... but they changed my room when I requested it, which was fine. I stayed for three days, and the breakfast was decent. The service was typical Japanese, meaning you couldn't really find any fault with it. The biggest surprise was on the day of checkout: there was a huge typhoon in Izu, all trains were stopped. While we were feeling helpless at the station, a hotel front desk staff member arrived! They told us that because we had previously booked a shuttle, they were taking us to the larger Izu-Kogen station! I was so touched! That's truly Japanese service, solving an urgent problem! Overall, it was really good!

I decided to make a reservation on a whim, and although it seemed like they had trouble getting a reservation, the front desk staff were very kind and I was able to stay there without any problems. There was a wide selection of drinks and snacks in the lounge, including local products, which was great. The rooms were also very clean and well-maintained, and the views were great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity.

The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

If you plan to stay in this area, you’ll need your own transport, like a rental car. The breakfast buffet has lots of tasty options and comes with a nice sea view in the morning. The private onsen costs JPY 3,500 per hour, and the experience was excellent. The front desk staff are very polite and friendly. Many local Japanese people choose this hotel for their vacations.

The hotel appears to be quite historic, and the facilities are somewhat dated. However, the traditional Japanese style makes it quite acceptable. Overall, it was quite clean. Shoes must be removed upon entering the hotel, and shoes are not worn throughout the hotel. The room was not small and had a sea view, though the lack of a beachfront location was a slight drawback. The hotel service was quite good, with staff who spoke Chinese. There was a welcome ceremony on check-in day, which provided a clear overview of the hotel's amenities. The meals provided with a one-night stay and two meals were plentiful and not unpalatable.

Our room has a Mount Fuji view, which was great! However, the location of the hotel is situated on the hill, so May not be so convenient for travellers who don’t drive. Also, if you want to go to the public onsen within the hotel, you will have to take the shuttle bus, which is a bit inconvenient. However, overall this hotel is still a good choice!

Dinner was delicious, with sashimi and fish in general. There was so much I couldn't finish it, with rice cooked in a pot, sushi and tempura. Also, since it was all-inclusive, there were drinks and snacks everywhere, which was nice. I was able to go to the baths empty-handed and there was no inconvenience.

This hotel boasts stunning views. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and you can soak in the hot spring bath while enjoying direct views of Mount Fuji. I'll definitely be staying longer on my next visit! A complimentary shuttle service to the hotel is a huge plus, and the overall environment is truly wonderful. The only minor drawback is that dining options aren't very convenient.

GGuest UserWe managed to book the family suite we had our hearts set on, and the ocean views from the two large windows were absolutely breathtaking. The hotel boasts a charming retro Showa-era ambiance; despite renovations, its historical character shines through everywhere. We only had a chance to visit one of the public baths, and the outdoor bath there offered a truly spectacular view. We also booked a private onsen, where you could enjoy soaking while indulging in ice cream. We had the second dinner seating, so some dishes were already finished. I highly recommend making your own kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) with ingredients like tuna, trout, and sweet shrimp, and then pouring dashi broth over it to turn it into chazuke. After dinner, you can explore the game corner and KTV, but do note that playing games and karaoke are not free. The hotel itself is quite expansive, so I recommend taking some time to explore all its corners. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

11881736****The service here exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly polite, greeting everyone with a smile and a bow upon entering and leaving. Since I checked in quite early, I had to wait about half an hour for my room, but they proactively offered me complimentary access to the executive lounge for the day as compensation. The facilities are very new, and the breakfast, though leaning Western, was quite rich compared to other hotels in Japan, offering great value for money. The only downside is the somewhat remote location. Although there's a shuttle bus, it only runs once an hour, so if you miss it, you'll need to take a taxi, which costs around 3300 JPY.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

RRachel_749The room was spacious and faced the ocean. I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of waves every day. The staff at the hotel and the nearby FamilyMart were all incredibly friendly. The night before check-out, I realized I was missing a key. I thought it might have been left at FamilyMart but was prepared to pay for a replacement. When I mentioned it to the front desk staff during check-out, I was immediately told that FamilyMart had contacted them and the key had already been returned. It was a very heartwarming stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Izu!

FFeixiangdefeigegeThe shop is halfway up the mountain, ancient and mysterious. If you are for sentiment, you can try the century-old house, which feels like going back to your grandma's house, but there are many rules. For example, there is a curfew at 9:00. I experienced the feeling of being soaked and unable to go home. It is ancient but clean, and the outdoor hot spring is very warm. If you want to be comfortable, forget it, a bed occupies a room. There must be a problem with communication. I added Chinese WeChat, but no one responded to me. The language is impossible to communicate with the new cleaner. Foreigners are discouraged.
