GGuest UserGreat hotel, only objective was other who used spa and sauna would stay to long waited over one hour and could not use these facility one evening as to crowded for me to go in, I think signs should go up saying if other are waiting you should time to a limit of 30 mins unless no one waiting.
Other wise staff were great and friendly.
WWenmenglCanberra is a beautiful city with virtually brand new streets and buildings. The bus station from Sydney to Canberra is right next to the Novotel, and it's just a few hundred meters walk to the Crowne Plaza. The hotel facilities are good, with a pool and gym. The room size is smaller than in China but larger than in Japan. The casino is right next to the hotel. I want to specifically talk about the service. When I arrived, they initially gave me a connecting room. Later, they switched me to a twin room. It made me feel like the front desk staff was a tour guide handling a** (rubbish/bad) tour group.
GGuest UserRecently stayed at Hyatt Hotel Canberra and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel strikes a great balance between old-world charm and modern comfort, with the heritage architecture giving the property a unique character that you simply do not get with many newer hotels.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel felt calm, professional and relaxing. Staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful from check-in through to departure, which made the stay seamless.
The location is also excellent, particularly for anyone travelling for business, government-related work or simply wanting easy access to Canberra’s key attractions and parliamentary precinct.
A standout was the buffet breakfast, which offered a strong variety and quality selection. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and I would happily return when next visiting Canberra.
TToni9485Very clean, chic hotel with a popular restaurant and bar. It is conveniently located on Northbourne Avenue , Elouera St and Mort Street which is directly the line of Canberra's night clubs if you are coming on a weekend. There's only two sets of lifts for Hotel Clients which isn't a problem for an Asian ( moi) who is used to very crowded areas. But this can be a bit inconvenient for locals who are used to express service. Pool, gym, sauna. Major plus points. And the best part of all is the free bar fridge in the room. (Not sure if it was a promotion but my friend and I could drink all of what was offered for free!) We didnt because we are massive alcohol fans.
The only major downside is the 25 dollar parking fee. No, no no. You can raise the price a bit higher for the quality of rooms but it's a bit offputting to have that as an additional fee.
Overall, a pretty great experience from service to aminities.
EElizabeth AcedoService was great! Place was clean, bed was very comfortable. It's easy to find with parking on-site. Good breakfast provided is an added bonus!
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! If you're taking a FlixBus, it's right next to the station, and also very close to the local bus stop and train station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also plenty of different restaurants nearby, so you definitely won't go hungry – the only problem is deciding what to eat! (´▽`)
Although the hotel isn't brand new, and the water sometimes cuts out briefly when showering at night, it has all the necessary facilities and a great location, so I'd still highly recommend it.
AakbonieThis hotel is super convenient! A shopping center called Maunka Terrace is just a 3-minute drive away, and it has Coles, Subway, and McDonald's. There were also Japanese, Italian, pub food, and other Asian restaurants in that area.
Parking usually costs $25 per night for guests, but thanks to a Trip.com perk, I only paid $10 a night, which was great! You can't reserve parking, but there was plenty of space, so I had no issues.
The breakfast menu was pretty much the same every day, which was a bit disappointing, but there was still a good variety and plenty of food.
GGuest UserThis is the second time I've stayed at Ibis Styles & and unfortunately, my first impression was confirmed.
The reception thoughtfully offered me an upgrade from a deluxe queen room to a deluxe king room.
To be blunt, I'm not sure where the 'deluxe' came into it. And I was glad not to have booked a standard room.
The room was basic beyond description, apart from a king bed. No bedside lamp, opened milk in the fridge, doors hanging off their hinges, bathroom still had hair on the floor, not even a tea spoon.
Such a shame as the location is great.
MMo WenThe overall experience at this hotel was quite good. The room size was decent, not cramped at all, and the facilities within the room were complete. The hotel's location felt both safe and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and enthusiastic, always smiling when assisting with check-in or answering questions, which made me feel very welcome.
