Very near airport, good location , 10 min walks to departure hall, we stay here to catch the midnight flight next day. I like Lylo Chch vibes! Spacious twin room, big common area. Check in smooth and fast.
Very good location in the centre of the town if u are taking intercity bus to there. The hotel have a very nice glass view, full equip kitchen and lounge to chill and rest. Room is comfy and have a nice view.
Neat and spacious. Had a large campervan which is hard to find parking for most accommodations. Thankfully they had a huge parking space that fit the campervan nicely and was free too!
The room is quite big, but the facilities are average. There is a construction site outside the window, and there is no view at all. The toiletries are also amazing, made in Shantou, China. Overall, it is really not worth the price
The day we checked in was our fifth day in New Zealand. I didn't have high expectations for this hotel because I thought the pictures were average when I booked it. But when I arrived, I was very surprised and surprised. This hotel is very new and very clean. I really like its style and design. The front desk was also very nice. Knowing that we were tourists, they gave us a bottle of delicious milk. If I have the opportunity to come to Texville again, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I like it very much~
loved staying here even for just 1 night. very near to sights in the city, staff was pleasant and room ammenities were great we asked for slippers and toothbrushes which are available all you need do is call and they bring it right up. parking is also available just beside the hotel but with a FEE per day😞 other than that we had a lovely stay🙂
This hotel stay was truly exceptional, offering a wonderful combination of a peaceful, quiet location and top-notch amenities. The best part was the ability to gaze up at the stars through the large windows - the perfect way to end each evening.
The check-in process was seamless, with the owner providing the password to the key box ahead of time so we could access the unit with ease. Once inside, we were impressed by the large, spacious layout and the high-quality kitchen equipment.
The added touch of having two comfortable bean bag chairs for stargazing was such a lovely and thoughtful detail. And having two bathrooms was a huge plus, especially when traveling as a family.
Overall, the combination of the quiet, scenic location, well-appointed unit, and attentive host made this one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We'd absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional stargazing opportunities. It's a hidden gem!
I was quite worried when I booked it, thinking the reviews were average, but it was pretty good after I actually checked in. The only thing was that the soundproofing of the cabin on the roadside was really not very good, and I could hear the noise from the next door, but it was okay when everyone was asleep at night; the location was not on the main road, so it was relatively quiet.
Except for the sofa and table in the living room that had some stains, the bedroom and bathroom were generally clean, and there were some microwaves, tableware and kitchenware, but there was no stove. It was not far from the town center, just a few minutes drive, and it was generally recommended

GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights in the deluxe spa suite and were moderately satisfied. Given the price of the room and coming from a 5 star hotel we expected better.
the wallpaper was torn off in certain places and camouflaged by something, the mini bar was not complete.
the instructions for the bathroom spa not super clear. The shower was also not completely waterproof.
Too bad not to have real sheets for the cover. however, we enjoyed the view and the jacuzzi. comfortable bedding.
for the breakfast option, not at all up to the standard of a 5 star, and that's a shame.
also disappointed, the 2nd evening we wanted to order cocktails for happy hour, the bartender being present told us that the bar was closed for that evening and when we asked if we could have them in our room we were told said no you can order only food , why? while the bartender was present, is this laziness?
The hotel spa amenities were all out of order as well.
At this price and claiming 5 stars we were quite disappointed
GGuest UserThe room is small but nicely furnished. Would be a lot more functional if the room can include at least a small desk so business travel can do a little work or a traveller can do hotel bookins and trip planning using a lap top.
A big draw back is a vey limited no of parking space available. I advised anyone with parking needs make sure they can reserve a spot in advance.
FFayreWe are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated.
3 points here to explain the terrible experience.
1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV!
2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon!
3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience!
In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment.
I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review.
Thanks.
GGuest UserThe location is great, right by the sea, it's very convenient to watch the sunrise and sunset, and the scenery is great. The service staff is also very nice, the room structure is reasonable, and it is quite comfortable for a group of 3-4 people.
The bathroom is not divided into dry and wet areas. After taking a shower in our room 13, there was water everywhere on the floor. This experience is very bad and should be improved as soon as possible.
GGuest UserDavid was very friendly and went the extra mile to help us. Room was comfortable had everything we needed. Shops were nearby. David gave us a map when we got there to show us where everything was.
HHelloI have given 5 stars to this motel for the service, cleanliness and amenities because each aspect of these beat my expectations! I am usually very conservative in giving reviews.
Initially I was expecting very basic service given it is a motel. But when I opened the door of the room I was quite surprised. You could feel the room is very clean and bright. The amenities are sufficient to make a simple meal for yourself. There is also daily housekeeping services as well (given it is a motel).
The staff at the reception are also very helpful. When I first arrived, the reception lady asked me where I planned to go and showed me the ways.
The motel is also close (5-10 minutes walk) to the Main Street at Riccarton and there are a lot of restaurants there. You can also take bus to the city centre which takes about 30 minutes including waiting.
The motel is also very close to the Christchurch railway station which is only 10 minutes walk, great if you are taking the scenic trains. There are also a number of shops near the Railway station and you can do some shopping for clothes, vitamins and fresh food too!
GGuest UserThis was by far the best hotel I stayed at in New Zealand. Compared to other Hilton properties, the bed here was noticeably larger and more comfortable. I stayed in a twin room, and each bed was around 1.2 to 1.5 meters wide, whereas other hotels only offered very narrow single beds (about 0.9 meters).
There was also plenty of space between the beds, which made the room feel much more comfortable. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was also decent, making it a very convenient and pleasant place to stay overall.
I would highly recommend this hotel — especially if you’re looking for a comfortable and restful experience.
AAnonymous UserBecause it was the first day of stay, I didn't have time to take pictures. The room is bigger than expected, the facilities are also very good, and it has a kitchen. Check-in is very convenient. There is free shuttle to the airport, which is more convenient. It is very close to the airport, a 5-minute drive away.
