I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Christchurch Airport (I arrived after midnight). For the price point and location, I got what I wanted: warm, clean, private, close to the airport. Check in and check out were both super fast.
Just a tip to anyone arriving late (this has nothing to do with the hotel): bring a snack with you. There are plenty of places to eat nearby BUT if you arrive after midnight, all the eateries are closed (except McDonald's, but only the drive thru is open at that time).

According to the staff, this is the hotel 's policy until they can receive verbal confirmation from the listed booking person. The location is excellent for a short stay or transfer as the hotel is just minutes away from the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nearby can find fast food like McD, KFC and subway. Lone Star restaurant and bar just next to Woolworth supermarket.
Lovely hotel! very convenient and close to the city! we stayed in 2-bedroom connecting apartment for just 2 of us, so comfortable as it was spacious and the bathroom has a washing machine & dryer which works so well for our laundry!
Lovely kind staff & hotel manager to, allowing us to be able check in early at 11am due to our early flight landing! Of course after earlier notification so that the hotel can get the room ready! Thank you for the hospitality & will be back here for sure if i return visiting NZ again!

It was great for stargazing and close to Lake Tekapo.

The best thing is they have a clean and good hot tub (nice view as well). We wake up with a super nice mountain view and the breakfast is amazing. The host is very nice and let us know about the activities we can do around Kaikoura!!

Excellent, truly excellent, very good overall! Parking is convenient, and the surrounding area offers a full range of amenities. Transportation is very accessible, and the location itself is fantastic – with supermarkets and everything else you might need close by. You even have the option to buy groceries and cook your own meals. All things considered, I am very satisfied.
The location is good, about 7 minutes' walk from the center of the town. The room has ample heating equipments, so you can have a warm sleep even in the coldest winter days. However, the sound insulation condition is bad and will interact with the guests on the other side of a thin wooden door. The most difficult thing to understand is the area is less than 40 square meters, but the introduction says 80 square meters. The owner and trip.com should correct the information.

We booked a family room and it was split into two floors where the top level had the big bed and the lower level had the twin beds, which worked well for elderly travelers. The interior was stylish and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher and a range hood. Wish they could've provided ice. The only big downside was the parking situation where despite having a big carpark, they charge NZ$20+ extra for overnight parking.
Clean, quiet, and centrally located — great for exploring Christchurch on foot. Comfortable room and friendly staff. Simple but good value. Would stay again.

YYangyang05The location is next to the road, so there will be noise at night when cars pass by quickly and the houses here are generally not soundproofed. But if the room is near the parking lot, maybe it can be improved. Everything else is perfect, because there is a living room and an open kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a single bed and one with a double bed), a separate bathroom with dry and wet areas, and a hair dryer, which is a great deal
GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.
PPei ChiExcept there's a stain on my bedsheet, the hotel is a great to stay in as it's spacious and other parts of rooms and toilets are clean. 15min walk to Bontanic gardens or to Riverside market and a Casino just opposite.. Was greeted warming by the staffs n a breeze to check in. It's worth for a long stay where all amenities are provided, especially love their Huia series.
Just to note the towels are changed every 3 days but u can have it changed upon request for environmental friendly purposes.
FFayreWe are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated.
3 points here to explain the terrible experience.
1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV!
2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon!
3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience!
In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment.
I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review.

BBocaiaihaozheHappy with this hotel. It's in a very central location, right next to the cathedral. The hotel itself was also very clean. However, the shower in the bathtub only had a half-screen, which meant the bathroom floor got completely soaked after showering. Also, parking costs 25 NZD per night.

I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest UserI have given 5 stars to this motel for the service, cleanliness and amenities because each aspect of these beat my expectations! I am usually very conservative in giving reviews.
Initially I was expecting very basic service given it is a motel. But when I opened the door of the room I was quite surprised. You could feel the room is very clean and bright. The amenities are sufficient to make a simple meal for yourself. There is also daily housekeeping services as well (given it is a motel).
The staff at the reception are also very helpful. When I first arrived, the reception lady asked me where I planned to go and showed me the ways.
The motel is also close (5-10 minutes walk) to the Main Street at Riccarton and there are a lot of restaurants there. You can also take bus to the city centre which takes about 30 minutes including waiting.
The motel is also very close to the Christchurch railway station which is only 10 minutes walk, great if you are taking the scenic trains. There are also a number of shops near the Railway station and you can do some shopping for clothes, vitamins and fresh food too!
