A Fantastic Stay in Prai!
We had a wonderful experience at Citadines Prai Penang. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchenette and washing machine were especially useful for our family trip. Staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is great—convenient for both leisure and business. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

I’ve stayed at Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City four times now, and it never disappoints. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. Staff are always friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is great, and the rooftop pool has an amazing view. Convenient location near the ferry to George Town. It’s become my go-to hotel in Penang — highly recommended!
We book triple room and it was perfect. It has all amenities like coffee 3 in 1 sachets, water kettle, hair dryer , disposable toothbrush and fridge. At night we have a good sleep despite muffled sound from karaoke pub nearby. Parking is free in level 1 and 2. However when checking out from basement, no security guard there during lunch hour to help us scan barcode. The scanner is hard to detect paper barcode . We have to blindly scan for 1 min. This is 1 star for parking. If the receptionist can teach us how to scan..there is 2 paper barcode to scan. Overall it is good value of money.
Hotel room is comfortable clean and sound proof is very good. My room facing the sea and its next to road side but it is very quiet and without noises from cars.only thing need to improve is the front desk staff(male) We check in around 6pm+. We double confirm with the front desk that we booked a twin room and requested for a corner quiet room as we are staying for 4 nights. I was surprised that the staff told us the hotel was fully booked and only left with king bed room. While I showed him my booking was twin room how can it be fiull8ng book! Then he no choice but he let us wait for more than 30 mins to get us a twin room. While waiting for the room I check the twin room was still available for the 4 days in agoda, *********** and trip.com. How can this happen in a five star hotel??
The hotel is a walking distance to the famous Iyer Itam wet market. You can have breakfast here before walking towards the Kek Lok Si temple. The hotel room isn't a big one but it provides the basic amenities that one needs. Overall it is clean. Mini fridge, TV, hair dryer, water kettle and air cond all working well. The bed is comfortable too.
Large room. Excellent service and housekeeping was top rated and quick. I went to breakfast and returned to a refreshed room! I stayed a week and would stay again!
The hotel was overly crowded, and service standards noticeably dropped, especially during the 3 PM check-in rush. While they offer a Family Lounge—which is a thoughtful touch—the service there was actually slower than the main queue outside. The bellboy/luggage area was also extremely slow during peak hours (check-in/check-out).
The facilities and pool are great for kids, but overall the service was disappointing. During breakfast, when we asked for a baby chair, we were told to walk to a corner and get it ourselves—not what you'd expect from a 5-star resort.
Our room also had a leaking toilet. We reported it, and I believe someone came while we were out, as the floor mat had black shoe stains. However, the issue was not fixed, and no one updated us or offered to change our room. For the price and brand, the lack of service and communication was truly underwhelming.
everything just nice, just I don’t know how to handle the TV although there got tv box available. There got sofa bed can fit 2 ppl, 1 room with double bed, 1 room with single bed (is really small room), 1 bathroom (no need worry about the water pressure), kitchen with water filter, kettle, microwave, fridge, cutleries. House just next to lift, the sound proof at living area not really good, can hear outside ppl walking, room window sound proof ok. The parking locate at 6th floor and quite hard to go up & down, we decide park road side after that.
🌟 A Brand New Gem Near Gurney Bay!
This newly opened hotel is perfectly located near Gurney Bay, and it truly impressed us! The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the facilities are top-notch—ideal for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Each morning, they offer a convenient grab-and-go breakfast, and there’s even an automated car park right on-site for hassle-free parking. Craving Starbucks? You’ll find it at the lobby—available for purchase, of course ☕️
What stood out most was the friendly and attentive service. The staff even gave us a courtesy call just to check if everything was going well during our stay, such a thoughtful touch!
Whether you’re traveling with family, as a couple, or for business, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
The Millen is an elegant hotel, beautifully crafted to make us feel like we'd stepped into one of the HGTV designed homes! We'd booked a room with seaview on 6 July 3025, and were given a high floor. It was so great to wake up to the sun reflecting on the sea. The bathroom with 2 vanities was so big and spacious, and the bathtub was right beside the window with the magnificent view! The hotel incorporated modern technology to make our stay so user friendly - a tap of the room card in the lift sensor will bring us directly to our level (there are only 4 buttons to press to go to the public areas). The curtains in the room opened/closed with the touch of a button too. We enjoyed the breakfast main courses at the Lili. All the staff were friendly and helpful; they decorated our room for husband's birthday, and served us a slice of cake upon check-in (and welcome drinks at the reception). We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives!

Good
SSangeetthis hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.
GGuest UserCarpets in hallway TOO HOT for tropical climate!
Room needed to be vacuumed DAILY.
Don't forget toilet rolls!!!!!!!
I didn't eat any meals at hotel, preferring to be outdoors, sightseeing, and eating street food.

GGuest UserFive-star facilities, five-star front desk service, but one-star doorman service. I leave this review for all non-white potential guests: There's evident racial discrimination in the concierge service here. The doormen exclusively assist white guests by greeting them, opening car doors, and handling luggage. My family felt uncomfortable about it, so I can no longer ignore their experience. While the hotel itself is beautiful and all the rest staffs are friendly and professional, I strongly recommend standardizing your SOP or replacing the door team.
British colonialism ended decades ago.
GGuest UserThe good:
No deposit upon checking in, check in and out was a breeze, parking provided, the room carpet is clean and centralised aircond cools the room very quickly, the bed and bedding is comfy, cleanliness is tiptop, there's a pool and gym that's nice, and the TV channels were decent
The bad:
Did not validate my car plate and upon driving out, i was charged rm60+ for overnight parking. this was sorted out very quickly but was a hassle, the entrance to room from the parking lot is weird and not disabled friendly.
Overall, i had a good rest at st giles wembley at a decent price. Joined the membership and got a nice cup of coffee at the lobby. I got a room near the lift, so there were noises outside thus the soundproofing is not very good. But felt safe and the clean room feels good. A solid 4 out of 5, could have been better if it came with breakfast minus the hiccup at parking fees.

BB MustangHuge thanks to PARKROYAL Hotel! I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the hotel really understood the assignment! They surprised us with a lovely cake, two adorable lovebirds in the form of towel swans, romantic rose petals all around — and even two glasses of red wine to top it all off. The romance level was off the charts! We felt so pampered… it almost felt like a second honeymoon !Truly unforgettable. ❤️🍷
AAnonymous Userdecent sized room with gorgeous view, can see the mountain as well as the sea. Buildings nearby are very low, so you can see miles away. Professional staff especially at reception. They are carrying genuine smile and ready to assist. I would say they are more proactive than those five~star hotels i stayed in Penang and Langkwawi during this trip.
However i really wish staff at concierge (night shift) can be more cautious and careful when handling shipment including parcels delivered to the hotel. They could have checked the identity of the one who pick up the parcel instead of not validating and allow anyone to go over to the counter to pick up by themselves. in the end who will bear the responsibility if the parcel was lost?
GGuest UserPleasant Family Stay in Penang
We stayed one night with family and had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for families with kids.
The location is excellent, with many food options nearby. Even without the hotel breakfast, it was easy to find good local food in the area.
The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool, especially the mini water park with slides and a playground, although the pool area was a bit small.
One downside was the lack of basic in-room amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap, cotton buds, soap bar, and a hair dryer.
Overall, a pleasant stay and a good option for families. Would stay again if basic essentials are improved.
AAnonymous UserGreat location, just right opposite of the 3 shopping malls in Georgetown - KOMTAR, Prangin Mall & 1st Avenue Mall. Many eateries just within walking distance. There’s a convenience store (MyNews.com) at the row of shops right outside the hotel.
Staffs are very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Was given a cold face towel and a complimentary drink while checking in, the process was smooth and easy.
The hotel looks grand, the room looks grand too! Very clean, neat and looks luxurious! There’s a drinking water station at the room floor near the lift, so hot or cold drinking water is easily accessible and refillable. Toilet amenities are plentiful, and so are the coffee and tea sachets! The water pressure from the shower is nice and strong!
Very satisfied with my stay and would love to stay again give the chance!
