My arrival at the hotel didn’t go so smoothly. I initially booked two nights but was not sure about the transfer arrangements on Fridays to the airport. My modification to one day was done well over a week in advance but when I got to the hotel they were asking me to pay some taxes for the day I cancelled. They also were charging me for the speedboat transfer, not confirming with me first if I took their boat or not. My check in was a little later than 2pm and I’d been waiting since 12:00 or so as I took the 10:45am speed boat to the hotel. The room was good but no one is based at that specific hotel you have to eat your meals and request services from the other hotel branches. If they did their admin well, then holiday would’ve went smoothly.

The hotel premises is good, rooms are good too at most affordable prices around the other hotels in area, provide complementary breakfast is tasty. One of the hotel staff personal was arrogant with the client as well as with me. While talking to him about someone stole my shoe wear from the rack as they don't allow to take shoes inside the room at the other end one of the staff personal was very kind served us very well at the same time came to pick up and drop our luggage at boat. I chose this one because it's newly opened. It's generally very clean, except that the towels are old and stained (a common phenomenon in resident island homestays). The room is very clean and has a small balcony with tables and chairs for hanging clothes. The breakfast is the hotel's The local meals are made by the staff, cooked on the spot, not a buffet, and the simple meals are quite delicious, not bad. The service here is very good and all the staff are very friendly. You can also exchange US dollars for local currency, and the exchange rate is very good at 1:18! There is no need to squeeze in the long queues at the airport to exchange currency. The B&B owner helped me exchange the most beautiful currency (1000MVR whale shark banknotes). There are people to pick me up at the airport and the pier.

The hotel is located near the community. In front is a beach where you can swim. The water is very clear. The staffs are very good. The breakfast is delicious. There is a chill-out restaurant in front of the hotel. If I go to the Maldives, I will stay here again.

Went there in October, not peak, so the owner guy is so nice to fetch and send us to the jetty. He also let us checkout very late since there’s not much guests. Clean room and simple. Simple breakfast daily. Very honest to reco us tours that would certainly benefit for us.

It's a hotel similar to a B&B, with no hot water. In tropical regions, the lack of hot water doesn't have a big impact, but girls should be careful. There was no toothbrush (luckily I brought it with me), but fortunately it's not far from the beach, so it's okay.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a perfect location, the best on the island: it is in 10 meters only from the beautiful main entry to the bikini beach. The beach is so big and clean! Umbrellas are for an additional fee but there's no need in them cause you can sit wherever you want under the tree.
I had a cosy room with a balcony, on the second floor. In the room, you have everything you need: an air conditioner, a kettle, a fridge, lots of lights, towels etc. Cleaning is upon request. Wifi was good.
The staff is extremely friendly and polite, always ready to help, they helped me so many times with different questions, the kindest people!!
A team of divers live at the hotel and leads excursions for guests from the whole island. Snorkeling with them was the best experience in my life! I've seen colorful fish, big sharks, dolphins, and even a sea turtle.
For breakfast, you have a choice between continental and maldivian breakfasts, I personally loved the last one, it was delicious. Always fresh fruits and juice before breakfast.
Sometimes in the evening, the hotel prepares barbecue dinner with fresh fish from the sea and with traditional music, such an authentic experience!
There are several restaurants on the island to have dinner, including the hotel restaurant. They're more or less of the same quality and price, liked local food there.
Gulhi is very calm and tiny island, just 30 min on the boat from Male island. (The transfer to Gulhi from the airport costs $25.) There were not many tourists on the island, when I stayed. No noise at night at all, so if you're looking for calmness, this is probably the better choice for you than Maafushi. Also it feels safe if you're a female solo traveler.
For me, everything was just perfect, loved the place, the food, the beach, the excursions. I think the guesthouse is the best price/quality option on the island.

- Reception was ok, lots to improve. Starting by how difficult was to book the transfers, I tried calling multiple times on different days and different times and never got an answer, I would like to think I had the wrong number (google maps). Island tour on arrival it wasn’t given as an option as we were tired, we would’ve liked to decline it. We arrive before the standard check-in time so we understand if we can’t check in until the standard time. We were in the lobby for more than 10mins and we didn’t know if we had to wait 10 more mins or 2 more hours, we weren’t given a time to go to the room until we asked. Therefore we when grab a bite and came back later to go to the room (all this didn’t make my trip any less better but could be avoided in future). Front office team was great and attentive as they always smiled and greeted us, and asked if help was need it.
- Restaurant was ok, food wasn’t the best and not to mention that the pizza is not made there. Breakfast options weren’t too many and lack some taste, some of the pastries were definitely made a few days back as they weren’t good at all. The omelettes were pretty good. The staff was very nice and polite in every interaction.
- Room is nice and clean and very spacious with great view. The amenities in the room are almost none. It would be nice to have some minibar with drinks and snacks. Bathroom amenities were poor as well, no shower cap, no cotton buds, no dental kit.
I also inquired a higher room category for better comfort but I was told there wasn’t any. Unsure if there wasn’t any other category available or I was at the highest.
Very nice hotel and very nice people working there but lacking little things that make huge difference.

GGuest UserThis hotel is new and clean, and it's super close to the pier, just a 1-minute walk away. The service was excellent, and when we left, we left our game console charging at the front desk, and once we were on the speedboat, the waiter rushed over to return it to us.

The room is clean and every day house keeping staff re-had decorate our room. Food was good, and the vegetarian food options were very less. I suggest pls add more options for vegetarians.
