The room was clean and tidy, and the view was absolutely stunning. It was a last-minute decision to stay a night, and we booked on the spot, so it was a pleasant surprise and completely exceeded our expectations. There was no noise, and the water quality was excellent.
The hotel is located in Zugu Hot Spring. The location is relatively remote. There is no chain convenience store nearby, so it is inconvenient.
And driving into the hotel requires a very narrow road, need to be careful.
But the parking lot is large enough to accommodate many cars, so there is no need to worry about parking.
Once we arrived at the hotel, the staff had welcomed us and helped us with our luggage. The clerk was very friendly.
Although the hotel room is old, it is also clean and tidy.
The dinner served at the hotel is Japanese and delicious.
The hot spring facilities are quite good and the experience is comfortable.
It is worth mentioning that the hotel is very close to the Zugu Vine Bridge. It is quite convenient to visit only 5-10.
Hotel's location is very convenient, next to the station and lots of shops in nearby, including wide variety of restaurants.
Hotel room is spacious for a family of 3, comfortable
There is hot spring and you can go there anytime. Both indoor and outdoor, providing relaxing and refreshing choices
Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and some of utilities are available in lobby for individual need
Here's part of the lobby, decorated with Christmas vibes
We’re a family travelling with 3 kids so we booked 2 corner rooms for the needed space.
1) We were given 2 corner rooms at opposite ends of the floor, so we had to walk up & down & up & down the corridor to pass stuff to one another, so that was a bit inconvenient. The hotel refused at first to give us a 2nd key card saying that only 1 is allowed.
2) The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy but the pillows were very flat, so we requested for more pillows but they still didn’t provide much support. There was an electric small leg massager in room.
3) The sink in the toilet was v low, so adults wld have to bend over a bit more. But bathing area & shower was spacious and comfortable.
4) Hotel location was right next to JR, and lots of food options so it was great as we didn’t do hotel breakfast. There is no drop off point for cars or taxis at the hotel as the hotel lobby is on 3rd floor of building.
5) We drove a 7 seater car(to accommodate luggages) so the roof was too high & had to be parked at a Times public carpark 2 mins away that we paid for.
6) All in all, a recommended hotel in Tokushima & we would return to stay again due to central location & shopping areas all reachable on foot.
The hotel is very close to the prefectural office, which gives a strange sense of security 😅. If you're coming from the JR station, you'll need to take a bus or a taxi. For a regional city in Japan, the room was surprisingly spacious. There's a Lawson convenience store right across the street.
Hotel is located near the art museum and next to a beautiful beach with a wonderful sea view. There are two onsen and both are good. And there are several restaurants serving Japanese and French cuisines. The prices are reasonable and we enjoyed a wonderful French Kaiseki. The resort is well managed and guests are warmly greeted and helped with luggage on arrival and departure. It’s highly recommended.
The location is close to station with a plenty of food options. There is also a small shopping centre next to it.
The room itself is a decent size, you can open luggages comfortably. Amenities such as toothbrush and pajamas are provided nearby the front desk. There is a microwave downstairs for guest use and some vending machines.
The staff doesn't speak much English but they use a translator device so it is okay. We got a non smoking room but it smelled smoky, so we requested a change of room from the female staff on shift, and she was able to act on it quickly despite the language barrier. I commend the good service.
Lastly, if you're a light sleeper you may be careful because the walls are thin and you can pretty much hear anything from the hallways. Wear some earplugs and you'll be fine!
We traveled during the Awa Odori Festival and chose to stay at Anan because it was less crowded. This super hotel also maintained its usual high standards, with many details just right. I recommend it for self-driving tours, as parking is convenient. Special thanks to Mr. and Ms. Sugihara for their excellent service.
The hotel is clean and tidy. Parking is convenient for self-driving tours. There are parking spaces in front and behind the hotel gate. There are many choices of restaurants around the hotel. There is also a large bathing area to soak away fatigue. I have stayed many times and am very satisfied with the hotel facilities and staff services. excellent
It is very convenient to walk to the hotel from Tokushima Train Station for more than ten minutes.
Awa Dance Hall is just across the road to the right of the hotel entrance, and it only takes three minutes to walk there.
There is a 7-11 convenience store across the road on the left hand side when you exit the hotel. It seems to be the only convenience store in the surrounding area. You need to climb over the overpass at the hotel entrance.
The hotel's internal services and facilities are complete and perfect, and the service staff are also very enthusiastic. My friend lost a ring without knowing it, but the hotel took the initiative to return it when he checked out, which made my friend overjoyed.
The buffet breakfast is located in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel. It is not very rich, but it is exquisite and delicious.
Tokushima is very quiet. The sun has not yet completely set. Around four or five o'clock in the afternoon, the streets of Tokushima seem particularly deserted. Perhaps it is the chill of late autumn that has swept away people's enthusiasm for shopping. There are almost no people on the main streets in the city, and there are no tourists. The shops also closed early in the biting cold wind. Walking on the street, the only sound I could hear besides the sound of cars passing by was my own footsteps. The girls and boys dancing the Awa Odori standing at the bridgehead of Shinmachi River made me seem to have found a little bit of popularity.
Perhaps, we need to wait until the Awa Odori Festival to see the excitement of Tokushima.
Who says it isn’t? Escaping from the hustle and bustle and finding a quiet little town is the ideal of traveling. Maybe such a little town and such a hotel are just what you want…

한한성It is an unmanned place, but it is a method of calling the staff by the phone placed at the desk and finding the key in the room reserved in the keybox.
The staff only speaks basic English, so you should prepare a measure to communicate in Japanese.
Early check-in and spacious rooms and bathrooms are hard to find in Japan. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong and the hot water comes out well.
It's equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator.
But the mattress on the bed was dead with all the cushions.
If you go to Tokushima, I'll find this place again.

GGuest UserThe hotel service is beyond my expectation for a business hotel. I was staying here since the weather situation so I had to stay at awa-ikeda for one more day, and this one looked reasonable for its location and price.
After I booked, I went to the hotel about 10am, to drop my bag and folding bicycle. The staff was extremely accommodating my request. When Incame back in the afternoon (still earlier than the checkin time), sitting in the lobby, playing with my phone. After a while, the staff told me the room was ready.
All staff members are extremely good and willing to help.

JJenny*v*The staff service is proactive and attentive! Although the lobby is small but well green, there are many drinks provided free of charge, the facilities are courteous and attentive, which is heartwarming.
Highly recommended! Will choose to stay again next time I have the chance.
There are low buildings nearby, the hotel is the tallest, so the view outside the window is wide, and you can see the sunset.
개개소리꾼It's about a 10-minute walk from Tokushima Station. There are plenty of places to eat and have fun around the hotel, which made it even better. The hotel itself was spacious and pleasant for a business hotel. I'd love to stay here again!
LLhamo Dolma HollandVery nice welcome by the owner and great stay!
The rooms is nice and clean and also the shared bathroom & restroom. The room itself was nice, clean, stylish ((Japese room)
Downstairs you can sit for a tea or coffee (free) so that’s very nice! Opposite the the guesthouse is also a convenient shop. So the location is also nice! We stayed there on the pelgrimage tour. So overall I can really recommend the small hotel! Please try it yourself! Very nice experience!
