The room was beautiful with a sea view, a tatami-style Japanese straw mat. The entrance area had a separate bathroom, sink, bathtub, and shower. The room was large enough to accommodate four or five people. I just stretched out on my back, which was so relaxing. There were bathrobes available for soaking in the ninth-floor hot springs. The facilities were a bit dated and self-service, so it was best to go with a group. The ninth floor was very quiet, with no one around, which was a bit... Disadvantages: The hotel is located between Atagawa Station and Inatori Station. It's about 1.2 kilometers from Atagawa Station, with some downhill slopes and a coastal road, making it a bit arduous to walk with luggage. There are few restaurants or convenience stores nearby. At night, when I went downstairs, the road was dark and unlit, making it difficult to go out. It's best to stock up on food and water. The hotel offers a shuttle to the station, but please arrange with the front desk.

the servise is quite good and the reception staffs are responsive and helpful. the scenery should be nice and can see the sea shore but given that I stayed in typhoon days, I can only show you some misty pics. One pity thing is that it's a little bit dusty and humid. also recommend the dinner buffet, high quality.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an experience we had! It was really fantastic! They provide a good service and do everything so well, that you want to continue your stay there! When we came into the room, there was a table laid with tea and Japanese desert mocha for two people. I appreciate for that! The Japanese kaiseki dinner was up to my taste, but not all the food as I could not recognise the taste of some and I simply didnโ€™t like it. My daughter doesnโ€™t like fish, so she could taste only a few dishes. She liked rice (how good it was cooked). A wonderful sunset and a wonderful sunrise is way I intended to see! I did! It was amazing! Photos attached. Try to see it, too! The breakfast was also with fish. As for me, it was tasty. My daughter found it not to her taste. Onsen was relaxing and very good to visit! Worthy! They drove us to the station after our stay at the hotel. I appreciate the hotel for the accommodation and service! I recommend this hotel, but I would come hear earlier to spend more time in ryokan!

The room was long and narrow, oceanfront with an unbeatable sea view, perfect for watching the sunrise from inside. It was spotlessly clean, as per Japanese standards, though the bathroom was on the smaller side. The included dinner was fantastic, with varied dishes each of the two nights. The hotel has an ice machine, and you can borrow an ice bucket from the front desk. There's no outdoor onsen. Accessing the outdoors requires taking the elevator to the rooftop and walking from there. A beach is just a few hundred meters away, great for an evening stroll. Nearby convenience stores sold sparklers, which many young people were setting off on the beach. The hotel's shuttle bus requires advance booking, as it gets fully booked very quickly. A pick-up service is available from the JR station between 2 PM and 5 PM. If you miss this window, you'll need to take a taxi yourself (be aware of potential queues during peak hours). Walking from the JR station to the hotel is mostly downhill, but the return journey is uphill. Furthermore, the hotel's rooftop entrance can be a bit tricky to locate.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days (including breakfast and dinner). The dinner was so delicious that my eyes almost popped out of my head ๐Ÿ˜ณ The staff were friendly and kind, and it was a wonderful trip! If I had to say something, โ€ข I wish there was a clock in the large bath โ€ข It would have been nice if the menu and prices of the attached bar had been posted somewhere! A very worthwhile place to stay. I will go to Izu Peninsula next time. Thank you to all the staff of Atagawakan. They kept an eye on us even though we missed the pick-up time. They also arranged a staff member to pick us up to the hotel on a dark rainy night. There were also Chinese-speaking staff in the hotel. Then dinner was delivered to the room. That moment was so happy! ! The scenery in the hotel room is also very healing. The service is super good. It has become a place I will definitely stay when I go to Izu in the future. Thank you again! ! ! (Especially the driver who came to pick us up in the rain that day and the girl who added WeChat in charge of the pick-up station)

Very good location, just a few minutes walk nearby Shizuoka Station and bus stop to attractive, like Nihondair, Shizuoka zoo, etc. The breakfast buffet is nice and yummy. The hotel room is very clean, and good amenities are provided. We have a pleasant stay for 3 nights.

The sea view is beautiful. Although the hotel is a little old in decoration, the hygiene is very good. The bathroom is newly renovated and the facilities are very good. The only drawback is that the room lighting is a little dim and the door can be upgraded to a smart lock~

This hot spring hotel is fantastic. The staff at the front desk and restaurant speak fluent English. We booked two nights, allowing us to experience two different breakfasts and dinners. Dinner consisted of 11 courses, each with a detailed explanation. An hour flew by, and I took my time savoring it. In the evening, I soaked in nine different hot springs, completely washing away my fatigue. The hotel is within walking distance of the station, making it convenient for visiting several attractions. I highly recommend it!

XXiaomuMUSIโ€This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring โ™จ๏ธ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much๐Ÿฅน In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.โ€๐Ÿ‘

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this โ€œregulationโ€. Itโ€™s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. Itโ€™s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (itโ€™s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you donโ€™t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If youโ€™re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, itโ€™s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

__WeChat366053****The small house is nestled in the mountains not far from Izu-Okawa Station. It's a classic Japanese-style room, with greenery visible from the window, inviting the mountain into the room, and the moonlit nights. The chirping of insects and the white noise of the water are soothing, and I headed upstairs with a warm bath, where I had the best sleep I've had in ages. The staff was very attentive and gentle, helping with transportation, pouring drinks, and making breakfast. Sitting in the room with iced green tea, gazing out the window, my heart calmed. After tire of the crowds at Asakusa's attractions, I came to Izu to see the mountains and the sea. I was so happy to stay here. The room was clean, the decor was fresh, and the hot pool was warm. If you're not driving, you really need to plan your time well, as train schedules can be unpredictable, and getting to and from all the attractions requires advance planning. If you haven't already ordered food, it's also worth buying it beforehand, otherwise it'll be a bit inconvenient.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at this charming new hotel conveniently located just a short walk from the heart of the city, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip. One of the things we appreciated most was the value for money โ€” the room rates were very reasonable, especially considering the location and what was included. If you're driving, parking is no issue at all. Thereโ€™s a parking area right behind the hotel, and the front desk offers discount coupons to help reduce the cost โ€” a small touch that goes a long way. What made this hotel especially ideal for us was how easy it was to explore the city on foot. From the hotel, we walked to the Musical Instrument Museum and visited several other nearby attractions without needing to move the car. After a half day of exploring, we simply drove about 10 minutes to reach Yamaha Innovation Road, which was another highlight of our trip. While the hotel is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped. In fact, it gave off a cozy, boutique vibe that made our stay feel personal and welcoming. The breakfast was simple but satisfying, and their signature dish โ€” the grilled eel fried rice โ€” was absolutely delicious. Itโ€™s a must-try if youโ€™re staying here! The hotel also provides thoughtful amenities, including yukata robes, quality shampoo and soap, and even a humidifier in the room โ€” perfect for keeping the air comfortable during dry seasons. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were attentive, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was providing local recommendations or helping with parking, their service truly stood out. All in all, this hotel offered a blend of convenience, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. If you're visiting the area and want a peaceful base with easy access to city attractions, excellent service, and that rare feeling of being genuinely welcomed โ€” this is the place. Weโ€™d gladly stay here again.

GGuest UserI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. ๐Ÿ˜‘ There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh๐Ÿ˜‘, I have to give a bad review.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen โ€” our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious โ€” and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended โ€” we would love to stay here again!

GGuest UserWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets. The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious! The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride. Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese. We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.
