It's beautiful hotel which has own shuttle buses to Kyoto station. They pay attention to every detail and every aspect.
Service is superb. hotel staffs are very friendly and so polite. They welcome you from the beginning outside hotel. Greeting every time they see you. Shuttle buses drives are extremely helpful and friendly.!
Breakfast are always great. Morning chef is
amazing and kind. Thank you. And please give my best regards to him.
Me and my parents had lovely time during stay. And if not because we booked hotel another week at
Osaka, we sure would love to stay another week. My father still talk about the trip at your hotel while we stay at Imperial Hotel Osaka.
In general, thank you.and wish every stuff all the best.
I booked Junior Suite for 4 nights. Upon arriving the hotel, hotel staff was already waiting at the lobby. She led us to the Club at the 3rd floor to check in and arranged our luggage to deliver to our room. We had a few drinks and some Tapas at the Club before approaching to the room. The Club offers free flow of champagne, wine and drinks as well as snacks all day, it’s really a nice place to chill out before or after formal meal. Breakfast buffet at the 2/F was nice. A large variety of choices were available. I tried the massage service at the 2/F. It was nice too. Hotel staff got great hospitality. On check out date, they delivered our luggage to Kyoto Station for us to pick up there after our morning tour in Kyoto. Very thoughtful arrangement.

Hotel location very good, have many nice cafe restaurant nearby.
Walking distance to many sceneries
Some staff is friendly at the front desk
Room size too small to walk around
Ask for additional blanket for few times but the reply is not available. Went to Front Desk the next day, told duty staff that I would like to see the duty manager, staff asked what is it regarding, told them that I need a additional blanket, staff replied that they will try their best. And continue busy with their work.
Have 2 cabinet but can only hang 2 pcs of jacket each.
Breakfast buffet dishes should have 40% change daily for 3 cycles
Limited bakeries, cheeses and hot dishes

The room is clean
The staff is really helpful.
But it's hard to wait for the laundry because many people using it.
And it takes some minutes to go back to the louder streets.
But it's fine if you get used to it and know the directions.
For transport, this hotel is closer to two different subways. It should be easy to travel to places like arashiyama or somewhere further.
The price is also really affordable, good price for center of kyoto.
I brought my family to Japan for the Spring Festival and stayed there for 5 consecutive days. The room was very comfortable and clean, and transportation, shopping and travel were very convenient. The landlord was very enthusiastic and contacted us in advance about the check-in. He also gave us travel guides and exquisite gifts. It was a very pleasant accommodation experience.

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory.
Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem.
Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else
[PRO] Good location! - walk distance to subway stations and bus stop / near Kawaramachi and next to 2 supermarkets, very convenient during the stays
[CONS] AC system is controlled by main controller guest can not adjust to their preferred temp, TV is outdate - NO smart tv need a huge update on this
Best hotel in our trip. The facility is excellent. Has one of the best hot spring, both indoor and outdoor. The buffet at night and morning were great, so make sure you book it along the stay. If you drive, this hotel is perfect for you, lot of car park spaces and free. Able to see the ocean from the top of the mountain. Looks like there is also a strawberry farm next to it (But we didn't approach it) The stay is great and very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The house is very easy to find, just by the road. But the town is very quiet and there is no noise. The hygiene is very clean, it can be said that it is too clean! But when I entered the door, the air was not very good, a bit stuffy, and it was fine after opening the window for ventilation. Very close to the scenic spot, very convenient to walk.

GGuest UserVery tastefully decorated room and the communal areas.
Very helpful staff even for Japanese well known high standards. They kindly advised us on our travel plan and flagged a taxi down for us on the street, we felt literally nothing was too much for them.
I thought it was reasonably priced for the quality the hotel provided us over all.
I highly recommend this hotel.

TTiejiaxiaomaoThe environment is very good. The hotel opened in 2024. There is a hot spring designed by Kengo Kuma. This is my second stay just for these reasons. The disadvantages are that there is a cemetery next to it, so please choose carefully if you are afraid of it. In addition, the flip-flops are a bit useless and can't be worn at all. If you walk to the hot spring area, it will hurt. I have never encountered the problem of flip-flops being difficult to wear in other Japanese hotels. I hope it can be improved.

MMs TCSelected Room: Harmony Suite
A very clean and spacious room with a distinctive layout that boasts ample living space for a couple or family with small children. The big bathtub and plenty of natural light coming from the large windows were the major highlights of the room.
Location: Prime location. Situated right next to Kyoto Station, it is a 1-minute walk from the hotel to the station.
Staff: All staff members were very hospitable and gave you the best support they could when attending to requests.
Gajamer was amazing! He helped us check-in and was very professional and polite in any possible way.
Meals: We did not select any meal plans for this stay.
Overall experience: A very pleasant stay, with all expectations met as shown in the photos and descriptions. Strongly recommended.

GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay at Hotel Granvia Kyoto! It's clean, comfortable, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, which made us feel right at home. Our room was surprisingly spacious—both the bedroom and the bathroom, which was such a pleasant surprise!
One of the best things about this hotel is its unbeatable location—right at Kyoto Station. It made traveling around, especially hopping on the Shinkansen or taking the Japan Rail to explore local spots, incredibly easy and convenient.
Kyoto Station isn't just a transport hub—it’s a vibrant place full of life! With so many shops and restaurants, we found ourselves happily wandering, eating, and browsing for hours. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some leisure time between our adventures. There’s something for everyone, and the atmosphere is so lively—it really added to our Kyoto experience
The only downside was that our room was quite a distance from the elevator, which meant a lot of walking back and forth. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but next time, we’ll definitely request a room closer to the elevator to save our legs.
Overall, we’d happily stay here again when we return to Kyoto!

PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGThis is a fantastic stay with Dusit Thani in Kyoto. We hooked 1 night since it is our last night before we returned home.
Initially we booked premeir twins room for 3 persons however, the twin beds are not spacious to share .
I feedback to the hotel manager about the concern and he suggested to upgrade to their suite room which is double the size.
He gave me a good rate with extra bed in the livingroom at additional 49,000¥, thats fantastic offer !
It is spacious, have privacy for my teenage son and their beds are super comfortable and their bath tub are spacious for two persons .
A definitely good stay to end our Japan Trip. Will stay here again

GGuest UserLoved our stay here - the hotel was very clean, the design was very homey and room was spacious! The only thing was the receptionist could not assist us in calling restaurants (we only asked for one call to be made to check if we could move our existing dinner booking up because we arrived at Kyoto early). The staff mentioned there are some policies under which the receptionists cannot make calls for customers.

KKawintopA Perfect Blend of Tradition and Comfort in Kyoto
During my recent stay at Saka Hotel Kyoto, I was immediately struck by its peaceful surroundings and inviting atmosphere. Located in the charming Higashiyama neighborhood, it offers an ideal launching point for discovering Kyoto’s historic sites. Despite being so close to famous temples and shrines, the hotel maintains a tranquil setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city.
From check-in onward, I was warmly welcomed by the professional and attentive team. Their devotion to creating a memorable guest experience was evident in every conversation. Whether offering sightseeing suggestions or promptly assisting with any need, they made me feel completely at home.
My room showcased an attractive fusion of modern design and traditional Japanese elements. Soft earth tones, tasteful décor, and well-chosen furnishings created an atmosphere that was both chic and peaceful. The spacious bathtub, in particular, stood out as the perfect place to unwind after wandering Kyoto’s centuries-old streets.
Although I didn’t have a chance to sample the hotel’s dining options, every other aspect of my stay was faultless. The exquisite decor, the serene environment, and the staff’s unparalleled service exceeded all my expectations. If you’re seeking a sophisticated, relaxing retreat that still allows you to easily explore Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage, Saka Hotel Kyoto is an excellent choice.
