Stay only 1 night for business trip. The location is good with a lot of eateries around. I book queen size bed but got a triple bed. No complaint but the bed sheet material causing me to felt itchy on my skin. Not sure if it’s just me
Enjoyed during my one night stay. I’ve booked an urban twin room, allocated at level 15 facing the river. The view is stunning. As it was still Chinese New Year period on my stay, so got to see a number of fireworks from my room. Staff are friendly. Would definitely come back.
I was very satisfied with my stay at this B&B. The check-in process was clear, straightforward, and quick. The room was spacious, very clean and tidy, with all the amenities you could need. The view was absolutely beautiful. I slept very soundly and quietly at night 🛌. I'll definitely be back to this B&B next time! 👏👏👏
Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

I booked a Suite for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate a loved one's birthday, but the experience failed to live up to the occasion.
Expectation: A special birthday touch and a premium room experience. Reality: Our requests for a cake and decorations were ignored, and the view from the Suite was just the side of another hotel.
To make matters worse, the in-room dining service was disappointing; the staff member was surprisingly unpleasant to talk t when I asked about the menu, and the food quality was subpar. While the infinity pool views of the Johor Strait and the excellent breakfast buffet were highlights, they couldn't make up for the service gaps. We will not be returning here for any future special occasions.
Good location as it is on top of Paradigm mall, even though have to take grab to get to the mall. Decent breakfast with the fresh orange juice being the highlight. Good service as they made the bed for the third person even though have to wait some time for room to be ready.
Bathroom got hot showers. Bedroom is good and comfortable. Good location and near night market and many shops. Market and variety cafeteria. Staff worker very good and helpful iff you have a question for ask address where do you want to go.

A decent hotel located at the western part of Johor Bahru. Breakfast was ok with local delights such as porridge, Nasi lemak and prata. Western bakery were served as well. The room I stay was a family room as smaller rooms I understand were all fully booked. However I did inquire on the e possibility of late checkout which is 1230pm and they are flexible to do a so call half day extension till 6pm at a top up depending on the room availability. Swimming pool looks clean when I visited. No many shopping and eatery around unless you drive.

Okay, Fives is definitely not a five-star hotel, but honestly, the location, price, and staff more than make up for it. Pros: Price is shiok — especially if you book a few weeks in advance. Your wallet confirm happy. Location solid — Yes, it’s a few hundred metres further than the big-name hotels, but still right opposite Komtar JBCC. Just cross the road and you’re there lor. Staff all very steady — Always cheerful and polite. Stayed here more than three times already, and every time feels like coming home (minus the nagging from mum). Facilities okay one — No pool, but got a big, comfy lobby where you can nua while waiting for your Grab. Best part? Got a huge convenience store inside the lobby that opens till 2am. Supper crisis solved lah. Cons: No pool lor. So if you wanna float around in a bikini, go somewhere else. Never tried the breakfast spread, so cannot comment. Maybe nice, maybe meh. Other notes: Rooms are small-small one, and while they look clean, maybe don’t go CSI mode and inspect too closely. Not a dealbreaker though — just manage your expectations. Verdict: If you’re in JB for one or two nights, and you just want a good location, great price, and no-frills stay, this one is perfect.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the train station, making it incredibly convenient whether you're arriving by train from Kuala Lumpur or heading to Singapore. The room facilities are very good, and the view outside is quite beautiful. I thought I'd have to use a sofa bed, but to my surprise, they brought an extra bed directly. The room rate is pretty good; you save over 200 yuan if you don't opt for breakfast. There are shopping malls on both sides, and even a Huayang that Kuala Lumpur couldn't squeeze in.

Great
Room was bright and spacious, toilet very clean and functioned well. Facilities were quite perfect - we enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi + the legendary breakfast spread which really represented local cuisine at it's best! The distance to the shopping malls was very convenient. Overall, the attitude and demeanour of all the staff was pleasant. Minor issues: - One of the beds was very sandy under the quilt. I only discovered it quite late at night so didn't take the effort to call housekeeping and slept on top of the quilt instead. - The service staff at breakfast kept clearing our table completely, re-setting it and even attempting to give it away to another customer when we went to take more food, despite the occupied/reserve signage. When requested not to, they simply gave excuses that they were merely tidying up. This happened 3 times with the same service staff and made us quite frustrated.

If you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice. Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa. What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there. The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub. Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.
We had a great stay at Hotel Granada Bukit Indah! It’s super convenient—just a short walk to AEON Mall and close to plenty of cafes, shops, and even Sutera Mall is just a short drive away. We stayed in Room 918, which had a lovely view and was spacious and clean. We really appreciated that the room wasn’t carpeted—it feels fresher and is actually our preference too. Service was prompt and friendly; we requested an extra pair of slippers and they brought it up quickly without fuss. The buffet breakfast was decent, with a good enough variety to start the day. All in all, a solid stay for the price and location—would definitely return.
We had a nice stay at the St Giles Midvalley Southkey. The hotel is very popular, and you can see it in the rooms and staff especially when it's later in the day. The best part of the hotel is its proximity to Midvalley Southkey mall. The hotel rooms are a decent size, but the towels and fittings are not new anymore, the carpet is showing signs of wear, and the bathroom is a strange open shower/sink/toilet bowl design. Nice gym and view, together with the infinity swimming pool on the roodtop, but note that it is a very cold swim due to the windchill. Breakfast buffet is very good, plenty of choices, but very crowded after 7.30am. Would love to stay again when room rates are closer to my expectations.
I recently stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Meridin Johor Bahru, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is ideal—just minutes away from Legoland, Medini Mall, and other attractions, which made it perfect for both relaxation and sightseeing. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water, good-quality toiletries, and a well-stocked minibar. The views from the higher floors are lovely, offering a peaceful cityscape or greenery, depending on your room. The service was top-notch—staff were polite, attentive, and always willing to help with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The hotel also has excellent facilities, including a nice outdoor pool, gym, and a great on-site restaurant with a wide variety of local and international dishes for breakfast. Everything was well-maintained and clean. If you're visiting Johor Bahru for leisure or business, Ramada Meridin is a solid choice. It offers great value for money, comfort, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning!
We stayed here on the day of my son’s 4th birthday. We were told that our room would take an extra 30 minutes for birthday decorations, but we were taken aback that the towel decorations alone took 30 minutes to set up. We also requested connecting rooms, but since we had booked king rooms, they were unable to change one of our king rooms to a twin and told us to rebook. However, the rooms are big, spacious, and clean. They come with a sofa that can fit an adult to rest on. The pool and the small playground next to it were great for keeping our kids entertained. The breakfast spread was good, with a lot of choices. Location-wise, it is very good. There were supermarkets, plenty of food options (many outside the hotel), and even a laundromat.

The service is good. No safe box in the room but can leave inside safe at the counter. Clean and spacious room with good view! Near to KSL and Plaza Pelangi. Downstairs across the road is a hawker night food street. Walking distance to Ho Seng Kee Wanton Mee. Will stay again!
