Located right next to Vantaa Airport, it's easily walkable. Finding the hotel from the airport was straightforward thanks to clear signage. The breakfast was standard but perfectly adequate. Our room was spacious and came well-equipped with amenities, including a kettle and coffee. An excellent choice for a layover or transit.
i had a great stay in this hotel. i experienced a refreshing atmosphere. quite impressive architecture. a unique atmosphere. i recommend this hotel. but the only problem is the location. far from city center / tourist area
The hotel is very good and the environment is very good, but the hotel is a bit old. The sea view room has a very beautiful view, but I forgot to book breakfast. Breakfast is 30 euros per person, which is a bit expensive!
Very clean and tidy hotel, very close to Aalto University, it is a serviced apartment, there is a supermarket downstairs, the requirements reserved when booking the room were arranged very satisfactory, there are also entertainment venues on the first floor, billiards, sauna, public kitchen, public meeting room, gym, very convenient and safe, opposite is the supermarket, buying food is also very convenient, the hotel is very cost-effective, next time I will choose here

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the STOCKMANN department store. There's a tram stop directly in front of the hotel, offering a one-stop ride to the central train station or a few stops to the cruise terminal. The hotel has its own bar and restaurant, but unfortunately, it's closed on Sundays. Be aware that some basement rooms have no windows, and some rooms are located in a back building, requiring a transfer elevator and a bit of a walk down the hallway – so make sure to ask for clarification. During my two-day stay, I encountered several guests who couldn't find their rooms. The hotel's facilities, cleanliness, and room layout are all good. A great bonus for East Asian travelers is the in-room kettle and a variety of tea and coffee options. The breakfast is rich and offers many choices, perfect for those who enjoy Western cuisine. Taking a ride in the small, ninety-year-old elevator is quite an experience, haha!
The breakfast was amazing! In the restaurant I was sad to see they only had one server in the restaurant she seemed to be working very hard but it took a long time to get our bill. I’d like to see them utilise the outdoor area more because it’s very nice. The front desk were very attentive
Ihana hotelli, mahtava kaikille aisteille! Kaunis ja tuoksuu puulle, ihana äänimaailma koko hotellissa ja roof top terassi on varmana ihana lämpimällä säällä. Huone tosi kaunis ja fressi. Hyvä palvelu ja aamiainen mahtava. Ainot valitus on ammukahvin laatu, voisi olla parempilaatuista kahvia ;-)
The hot springs are quite large in Finland. It ends at 21 o'clock. You must remember to go early. We only checked in at 20:30 and couldn't make a good soak.
The hotel is very big and beautiful like a park, and there is a 60s labor at the door.
The apartment room is large, clean and tidy, well-equipped, the bathroom sink is very comfortable to use, and there is a washing machine. The apartment is in a courtyard. In addition to the apartment door, the yard and the unit have a password door, which is more convenient to stay.

HheidiOverall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you
11822178****The free buffet breakfast is a great perk, and the ambiance is lovely! Definitely recommend. It offers excellent value for money, and luggage storage is available, which is really convenient. Check-in was super easy – just needed my passport number. Plus, its central Helsinki location means getting around is a breeze.

GGuest UserThe building is pretty new and clean. However it is relatively small consider Helsinki is not a crowded city. It is conveniently located with a small supermarket around the corner. Otherwise will have to walk back to Helsinki station area where there are a few larger supermarkets available. Heating is not very strong for the time we visited (late Oct). I can't imagine how heating would be enough during winter. We were quite happy with our stay but one small thing that can be improved - a simple instruction on how to separate our rubbish. We are happy to comply with the Finnish way of recycling but at the same time we were a bit confused on which bin is for which item.
AAnonymous UserOur experience wasn't off to a good start, dealing with Jason when dropping our bags in the morning. He was borderline racist, assuming we were with the other Asian groups, making presumptions about our requests, and had difficulties understanding our requests on arranging for early to-go breakfast boxes.
But everything else during our stay was perfect hence the 5 stars. Everyone else we dealt with, including the house keepers, restaurant staff and cleaners were all great - very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is strategically located right next to the Central railway station.
The room itself was large and clean and beautifully decorated. We also tried out the facilities including sauna and cold plunge (a Finnish culture), which were top notch. The gym was also world class and properly better equipped than some other commercial gyms out there.
The other highlight was the breakfast. So many options even for vegetarians like us, all allergens clearly labelled.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's ever in Helsinki.
MMao72During a road trip through Finland, I stayed at this property several times. It offers essentially identical studio apartments. Its strong point is definitely its convenient location, being about a 15-minute train ride (equivalent to a subway ride) from the airport and 15 minutes from Helsinki city center, with the Malmi station about 100 meters away. The area is predominantly residential, with several businesses nearby. Despite its proximity to the station, external soundproofing is excellent. A weak point, however, is the poor ventilation in the room, with only a small hinged window opening (probably for security reasons; rooms assigned on the 13th and 11th floors) and the windowless bathroom, which tends to stay damp. The last room assigned also had an unpleasant smell of cooked fish, presumably left by the previous guest.
PPing HooWe stayed at Scandic Grand Central Helsinki and loved its unbeatable location — it’s right next to the central train station, which is super convenient for travelers. The room was decent in size, and we really appreciated that the bathroom had a bidet, which was a nice touch. However, the cleanliness of the room could have been better, as it didn’t feel properly cleaned upon check-in. The biggest downside was the hotel’s accessibility — there’s no shortcut or direct access for guests to reach the train station, so we had to walk all the way around every time. Moreover, the main entrance doesn’t have a ramp, which made it very inconvenient for guests with strollers or heavy luggage. We had to take a side lift to get in, which was quite troublesome. Overall, great location but disappointing accessibility design.
VVon30Overall stay was ok. However room design was very weird. Bathroom floors were not heated which wasn’t great during the cold weather. Tried calling reception several times to request for an extra heater as the room heating wasn’t sufficient. Nobody answered and had to go down to reception to request for one. Funny thing is even the reception staff was not aware if it was available.
I have never been to a hotel where the staff at reception would answer me with “I don’t know” or I’m not sure, I need to check. Breakfast spread was good with many choices.
GGuest UserOld Hotel 5 min walk from central station, nothing modern or renovated
Standard rooms are small and Bathroom very small
breakfast was very ok but standard stuff, nothing special
Sauna ist ok, pool wall was very dirty at water level - this needs a ground cleaning !
Reception was friendly and explained some things also even if i didnt ask for that
