Excellent room and en suite, very clean and seemed fairly newly furnished/decorated.
Had booked a twin queen bed as was only available at time of booking (didn’t need two beds) and they did automatically switch me for what I think was a king bed on arrival and it was a very spacious room.
Minus a point for dinner at the hotel which is a bit of a let down.
- The allergens listed on the menu at reception didn’t match the allergens listed on the menu in the restaurant, so despite pre deciding what to have, was a bit of a let down to find some dishes were no longer allergen free
- Also had my starter and main arrive before my drink did, despite ordering at the same time (they did apologise, as they were busy)
-dinner in the restaurant was over priced for what you get (no seasoning or flavour)
Breakfast however was great and excellent quality for buffet style.
I used the gym and although small, it was great for a short stay and a nice to have.
All staff were super friendly
This was literally a stop over during Covid an essential trip. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room upon arrival looked clean and we literally just crashed. However, inthe morning we discovered a pair of dirty socks from previous occupants left on the side
cupboard and sachets of sweetener between the sheets and the mattress! Unacceptable at the best of times nevermind during a worldwide pandemic. Reported to staff who apologised and are handling complaint. Staff very apologetic but simply unacceptable.
Fantastic service from the moment I had checked in. Staff at the desk were polite and quick to resolve my requested room move. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in by far. Rooms a good size and the view was lovely, i loved the mini fridge, i was able to store my drinks in there. Checkout process nice and easy too. Will stay here again definitely
Overall, the price is good, very close to the highway, easy to drive, free parking, the hotel is on the 12th floor is a restaurant, things are delicious, the surroundings of the hotel are average, rooms are ok, 8-10 minutes by car Supermarket ALDI, 8-10 minutes there is a Chinese food formerly known as China Garden, now called New Beijing, the price is real, the taste is authentic, there are many Western food next to it. The restaurant is located in the town center. After dinner, you can see the town. It is very beautiful.
Breakfast is medium.

A great little place with a lovely swimming pool. Enough activities to keep our 8 year old daughter happy. Lovely family time together in a very clean and well equipped lodge.
Great place to stay when visiting the area. Great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. There is a limited dinner menu consIsting oh pizza, pasta, salads and burgers. Rooms are also very clean with large comfortable beds and all newly refurbished in 2019. Parking is available on-site. There is a code to get out, which is given to guests and available from reception.

EEesahThe guesthouse itself is within walking distance to Stoke-on-Trent Train Station and Staffordshire University (college road & leek road). The room and the property was very clean. The Owner Gabriel and Property Manager Joe was very helpful and made me feel safe during my stay.
They accommodate long stay with discounted price. The rooms are exactly how the advertised on website (if anything better).Rooms are very big and spacious, bathroom were very clean.
Rooms had aesthetic lights ( also dimmable).
There were Sockets near bed and 2 work desk/ study desk and settee with coffee table.
Free WiFi at the property.
In short great find and will stay here again.
JJGood location for Alton Towers, but not much nearby.
Service was mixed - duty managers were good and very helpful. Bar staff were average, breakfast staff were below average. They only have one member of staff for breakfast, which is not great if there are more than a few guests. They also charge extra for hash browns in the full English breakfast. The hotel room and restaurant were clean and tidy. Rooms do not have air con and the heating was on high, no way to turn down the radiators without assistance, but unfortunately the reception closes at around 10pm. Overall our stay was adequate but we probably won't be returning.
EExplorettaThis place was nice. The room was a little out dated but it was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The wi-fi wasn’t the best and the tv was blocked from connecting to the wifi so no Netflix etc. The staff on reception were very friendly.
We didn’t take breakfast but we ate dinner in there restaurant, reasonably priced and some good meal options and deals, it was a bit loud as it’s also a bar.
DDaz FurburWonderful one evening stay in the holiday inn Stoke. Greeted beautifully by Laura on reception, always smiling and helpful. Cannot praise the team enough each and everytime we stay! Room is excellent and heater provided within minutes upon request. Thanks again all, we will see you very soon ☺️
GGuest UserA great little place with a lovely swimming pool. Enough activities to keep our 8 year old daughter happy. Lovely family time together in a very clean and well equipped lodge.
GGuest UserLocation is 10 mins in car from Stoke station, breakfast is a good standard. Gym is decent for a hotel, not massive but 2 treadmills. I have stayed here before, but the rooms were very hot, far too hot, asked for a fan but it was not provided. The pillows were feather and very soft, had the worst night sleep I can recall in a hotel for a long time.
JJaneJaneyLamHotel generally, but in order to enter the playground early the next morning, it is worth the room sheets are a bit cotton wool. The bed is uncomfortable. The bed is a bed for one person. It is a bit difficult to sleep with a child. The triple room is actually an extra bed. Instead, the extra bed is a big one. Add the child to sleep together. Micro can cope with the hotel near the convenience store. It is recommended to buy delicious and drinking water when you go. The hotel sells ordinary water for more than 2 pounds. It is not worth the location. It is remote and there is a restaurant. We brought our own noodles and cooked in the room! It takes about 20 pounds and 15 minutes to call Uber from Birmingham International. By the way, tickets for the park will be discounted online in advance and you can enter the park at 10 o'clock in advance (open at 10:30). When we went, there were not many people. For more than 2 hours, we played all the facilities in the children's area. The roller coaster children brushed it three times. It was worth the fare.
MMarcus SlaterAt check-in the reception staff member was more interested in watching football and I was told to wait they watched football!!!!
I did not sleep well as the hotel has a loose rope on the flag pole, told in morning that being loose since lockdown. All night a loud metal tinging sound.
The hotel has an amazing heritage and the room shares this heritage, I wish just the staff would book time off for football and did regular site checks every day. Lastly the reception is not 24/7.
