The hotel is in a suburb, the suburb of Bodmin, next to a highway service toll station, but there are few food at the toll station, just McDonald's, Subway and a Coop supermarket. If you want to go to Bodmin town for a meal, you can't do it without a car. Because it takes more than 2 hours to walk. So in theory, it should be normal to take away food. We bought food and prepared to eat in the hotel lobby, and then the front desk staff came and said that you can't eat, our place provides meals, and you can't eat takeaway food. To be honest, this is the first time I heard this reason. I'm not sitting in your restaurant, can't I eat takeaway in the lobby? I've stayed in many HIXes in the UK, and I came across this one, which was arrogant and acted like it had a reason. Other HIXes will let you use plates and knives and forks. This one will only drive people away. I thought they wanted me to buy their wine, so we bought it, and after buying it, they still drove people away. It was really annoying. Later I thought he was discriminating. Because the table next to me was eating pizza, so, see.

Amazing spa hotel with amazing amenities and super close to the beach. The only thing lacking was the quality of breakfast, restaurants and a few service aspects. Other than that really enjoyed the stay here and would love to stay here again. The spa was absolutely amazing and pools were the best feature.

Has everything you may need for a night's stay. Bed was comfortable. It wasn't very clean, with cobwebs in every corner of the room and a couple spiders aswell. I had to get rid of a few mosquitos as well. There was dust on light fittings and lamp shades, the bathroomlifght switch didnt look like it had been cleaned. The room had a very noticeable damp smell in the air and there were small spots of what looked like mould, on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet seat was stained a yellow colour 🤢(its only a few quid for a new 1🫤). The carpet hadn't seemed to be hoovered before I arrived as there was some dirt and dead insects lying around. Luckily I didn't have to spend too much time in the room, most of the time I was sleeping, otherwise I would have asked to stay in another room to be very honest. The breakfast was really good though!

1. The hotel is located on a small slope on the edge of Penzance. It only takes 20 minutes to walk to the city center. In fact, it is very convenient for travel. It is also very close to Penzance Railway Station and the port. It only takes 15 minutes to drive to see Mont Saint-Michel. 2. The hotel provides a lot of snacks. The sea view room has an excellent view and is highly recommended. If you order hot food for breakfast, you will need to pay a little extra, but the quality of other meals is also good. 3. If you come by car, you need to call the hotel to reserve a parking space. The parking fee is about 4.5 pounds per day. 4. The hotel’s cancellation policy is that cancellations can be made 14 days in advance. 5. The corridors of the hotel are relatively narrow and there is no elevator. It may be inconvenient if you have too large luggage.

Excellent Saturday night stay celebrating various birthdays etc. Made to feel like a VIP from start to finish. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for lunch, but every meal we've had at The Brunel has been epic.

玥上Sea view room, several windows with great views, simple breakfast provided (worth about 12 pounds), the food in the hotel restaurant is also good, there are many people every day, there is an Italian buffet on Friday (15.5 super cheap), a lot of dishes, just They are all very filling dishes, so they are cheap. You don’t have to worry about customers eating too much, but it is more than enough to try them all~

OOlly reviewsKing Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel. Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

LLukeKumarWe had 2 nights here, 11-13 July. We arrived late, between 10-11pm, and the counter staff was very friendly n helpful. We did not manage to get dinner due to train delays but the front staff was kind to inform us that we could purchase some cold sandwiches and he would make sandwiches for us. 😊 The room price includes breakfast for which we were glad. We enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly. The views from the hotel overlooking the St Ives beach is truly amazing. The hotel grounds were immaculately maintained. You must walk through their walled garden … it is well landscaped and very beautiful. It felt like walking in some professionally well curated botanical garden. 👍🏼

GGuest UserA lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines. The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice. We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.  We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.

GGarrettChowOur room is not in the main building. We have to walk upstair to a first floor high extension building. My booking hasn't mentioned this. It just like a B&B room, but this is a 3 stars hotel. If I know before hand, I will not book this hotel.

MMark WSMA mixed experience. We booked for the pool facilities, which were great. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening - excellent food and very good service. The breakfast was good too. Some buts, though. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed, a strange electrical light show from some devices in the ceiling once we turned the lights out and a repeated electrical buzzing sound all through the night which disrupted our sleep. The staff moved us to a much more comfortable room on the second night. The floors upstairs were so bouncy that it felt like the hotel must have the underlying structure of a rickety prefab - very odd and a little unsettling. And the restaurant had no character at all - an almost sterile feel. All a bit odd. While the pool, the food and the service really were great, and the many golfers who visited were clearly delighted, some of the spaces do need a refurb and a rethink.

GGuest UserBreakfast was surprisingly large portions, good cooked quality. Cold buffet was limited. Service was a bit slow. Bed was very comfy. Good to have a window that opened and a fan in the bedroom. Had dinner in the restaurant first night and the chicken was delicious. TV channels in the room were limited depending on the weather. Good option for Penzance as a base then use the bus to get around.
