Does everything it says on the tin. Staff were nice, food was good. The rooms were spacious with working tv. Bathroom had a hot shower with bath. All clean and comfy beds

A fantastic hotel in a brilliant location - 40 mins nice walk through the park to get to central Cambridge. However, the local area is also really great too - lovely restaurants and cafes around which we really enjoyed. The hotel is beautifully done with really nice interiors and the room was comfortable, clean and well decorated. Only notes would be we'd love to see the addition of net curtains for natural light in the room with some privacy, nespresso (or similar) coffee machines rather than just a kettle (aparthotels tend to have these, we were surprised there wasn't one) and more hooks in the bathroom for wet towels. Other than that, a great stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general.

Location is great! Affordable cost! Given a free parking, which was bonus. As located in service station, a selection of fast-food restaurant is available nearby. Cleanliness is not great! Visible crumbs on the carpet and drawers, with filthy looking curtains. Breakfast is available on site but a but pricey should you decide to have it daily over a 3 day booking. Decision to make it a try on our first day, not a fan. Staff in the kitchen not friendly. Not attempted to make conversation (as if not heard us) at all when asked if topping up as containers were mostly empty and not even closing time yet. Definitely not value for money . Reception staff are great! Over all experience - satisfactory. Will consider staying again (hope they improve with cleanliness) Thanks!

My stay at Novotel Cambridge was extremely disappointing due to serious cleanliness issues. Upon checking into Room 205, I discovered visible blood stains on the duvet. This is not a minor oversight — it is a basic hygiene failure. Clean bedding is the absolute minimum standard any guest should expect. Finding blood stains immediately raised concerns about the room being properly cleaned and inspected. I reported the issue and was informed that the bedding had been cleaned again. However, when I returned to check, the stains were still there. This was both frustrating and alarming, as it suggested a lack of proper quality control within housekeeping. Only after escalating the matter was it properly addressed. Charlotte, the manager, eventually upgraded us to an executive room and provided complimentary breakfast, which I appreciate. However, this does not change the fact that the initial room condition was unacceptable and should never have happened in the first place. An upgrade is a service recovery gesture — it does not erase the hygiene concern or the distress caused at the start of our stay. I hope the hotel seriously reviews its cleaning procedures and room inspection standards to prevent future guests from experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately, based on cleanliness alone, I would not rate this stay highly.

Stayed as close to Huntingdon Racecourse as where our cycle ride was starting. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was small and a little tired, the shower was OK, no flexibility with it, so had to wash my hair, which had only just been cut 4 hours ago. The breakfast was cereals, toast, packeted croissant, tea, coffee and fresh fruit juice. Really good value for the price. When booking the initial price changed which was frustrating, but still extremely good value for a last minute booking.

Nice clean hotel in excellent location with parking as a much needed bonus. Easy walk to city centre and attractions. Nice cooked breakfast. Could do with air con in lower restaurant as it was very warm in there and didn’t like the strict NO TAKEAWAY in your room policy as we sometimes like to just chill in our room in the evening after a busy day.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I like the view out of my window, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff are polite and welcoming. Also, the hotel located close to the center. However, I wish if they improve their breakfast, as there were very limited options. Comparing to the price paid with other hotel in thus city, I can said this booking was a great bargain for me. The Hotel was clean and helpful - although many staff seemed a little less that informed - the rooms were clean but cold at night turning the heating up didn’t help - the amenities over Christmas and new year were not as advertised- and the restaurant closed over this period so bar meals on laps were the best they could offer except breakfast which was good. Food other than breakfast was a poor selection little to offer for children or someone with diabetes so we had to eat out a lot despite being pre charged for meals.  The swimming was good but times advertised were not adhered to and no one knew times - and the rules very varied.  Once in the pool it was clean and warm.  Overall on our 2nd visit - first was better I think perhaps Christmas period is not a family period in which to spend time here.
