Manny365No kettle and the room was quite small, but the location is super central. It's really close to Lucerne's main attractions, so if location is a priority for you, this place is a good choice. Switzerland is notoriously expensive, and this area felt a bit rural for the price. I'd estimate a hotel of this caliber would probably cost around 200 RMB in China. There's no free parking, so you'll have to find a paid parking lot nearby.

petter62First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite.

Ting Ying GohI had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff and their exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. The team kindly helped search for it, found it, and even arranged to send it to my next hotel, completely complimentary.
I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their prompt help, thoughtful follow-up, and genuine kindness throughout the whole process. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to the team for the wonderful service and care!

Guest UserHotels in Lucerne are generally expensive, and this one was relatively cheaper. There were no disposable slippers, and you needed a 20 CHF deposit for a hairdryer. The room was tiny, but hey, what more can you expect from a 1-star hotel? On the plus side, the location was decent, and check-in included free public transportation. The hotel breakfast was delicious!

The check-in process was really difficult. We arrived at the hotel around 9 PM. The self check-in machine couldn’t find our booking. We called for help and talked on the phone for a long time, but still couldn’t check in. Luckily (and unluckily), some other guests arrived and had the same problem. Because there were more of us, finally a male staff member agreed to come and check the machine.
This staff member kept saying it was our fault – that we entered our name wrong, or that we mixed up the first name and last name. He insisted the machine had worked fine for six months and couldn’t be broken. We tried different combinations of our names many times, but nothing worked. He tried too – and when it still didn’t work, he finally admitted the machine was the problem. Around 11:30 PM, we finally entered the rooms.
The next day, after we explained everything, the very friendly and polite ladies at the front desk kindly gave us a 10% discount. Most things about the hotel were great, and the front desk ladies were super helpful. We fully understand that technical problems happen sometimes, and waiting 2.5 hours to check in was also okay for us. We doNOT blame anyone or anything for that. But what we couldn’t understand was how the staff member insisted it was our fault and how he did NOT believe anything we said, and his attitude was a bit rude when we tried to explain that it wasn’t our fault.

The front desk service was excellent, very helpful. They printed our luggage tags and even gave us free transport cards for several days. The room was a bit small, but we could still open our suitcase without a problem. Breakfast was a little plain, but it was filling. After all, it was a free breakfast, so no complaints there. With tea and coffee available, it was sufficient.

Anonymous UserThe Spanish restaurant downstairs is definitely worth trying, especially in a country like Switzerland where good food can be hard to find. I recommend booking a room with breakfast; it's very refined and includes freshly made omelets. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the train station, which is quite convenient. After check-in, they email you a guest card that allows free rides on the city buses. Overall, I would still recommend it.

Yunnie.TStayed here during my Switzerland trip and really enjoyed my experience! The location is honestly one of the best; right beside the train station and within walking distance to the lake, old town and many attractions, which made travelling around so convenient. After long day trips, it was nice being able to return to the hotel so easily.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for a pleasant stay. The staff were also friendly and helpful whenever needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great location and hassle-free stay!
