Although we had a few minor complaints about this hotel it really was a good place to stay. Like other reviews we could not get the room to cool down. Maybe they hadn’t turned on the air conditioning yet? They also had the flattest pillows I have ever seen. I had to use 2. Bed and room were comfortable. There were a few English tv stations mostly British. Breakfast was amazing. Plenty of food and it was replenished often. Hours were 6-10 weekdays and 7-11 weekends Loredana in the breakfast room was absolutely amazing. Anything you needed she was ready to help. You can also have eggs custom made for you by the chef. Front desk staff was very helpful as well. Zurich is a quick trip on the tram and train. The tram is right behind the hotel and front desk staff is quick to give instructions on how to get there. Be aware Zurich has some of the highest public transport costs in the world. The trip to Zurich is 7 Swiss Francs each way per person. It was very convenient that the hotel has free laundry. Pods were available from the front desk for approximately 2 Francs. The hotel is also within walking distance to a huge mall which also has some grocery stores. McDonald’s and Burger King are also a short walk away

Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory and I would like to share my impressions: Room condition and obsolescence: The rooms looked shabby and were clearly outdated. Clogged toilet: It is annoying when basic amenities like the toilet do not work properly. A clogged toilet should not happen in a hotel. Pillow comfort: The pillows were small and way too high. A good night's sleep is important and uncomfortable pillows do not contribute to that. Breakfast: The price of 17 francs for breakfast is not justified in my opinion. The quality of the food offered left a lot to be desired and it seemed like a lot of it was artificial and not fresh. Value for money: I paid 150 francs for an overnight stay including breakfast, which is clearly too high considering the shortcomings mentioned. The value for money here is not right at all. As a paying guest, I expect reasonable quality and a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can only advise other travelers not to stay at the hotel.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with all the traditional European items. Restaurant for dinner is also excellent with good service. Close to the bus station for convenient transportation. Nice country environment.

New hotel and a great stay. Staff were wonderful, great breakfast and easy parking. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend. Location also very good for easy access to everything needed in the area.

Arrival and check-in SUPER! Great staff, friendly and competent. Minus: 25 francs for the underground car park when the room rate is 90, plus 25 for breakfast? Yes, I know, Switzerland is not Germany...but this ”side job” is ridiculous. The pricing policy here should be brought up to date. The room is great. Super insulated, modern furnishings, a great and large bathroom. I slept really well in the bed. Very clean! OK, the ”designer washbasin” isn't that great. Especially since you get all messed up when you use it! Checking out was also problem-free. The 25-franc underground car park was of course a bit tricky when you exited and you were rather helpless at reception and had to call someone who had a key for the barrier...As I said: underground car park is ridiculous! The rest is GREAT!

Super central, newt to the train station, it is clean and cute, but the hotel 2 sides are facing 2 very busy streets. I was set in a double room on 1st floor and you could hear all the buses every 5mns coming out from the central bus station. My room was nicely designed, about 25 sqm, bed was comfy, and room had a nespresso machine. On the corridor there was even a nespresso tea machine. Breakfast isn't glorious at all, the cappuccino coming from am Automated machine was not drinkable, albeit I stayed 2 nights, and had 2 Breakfast, it was the same quality (poor) and limited choice every morning. The.gym is more a closet with weights, no tread mill or any machine. For that the price was i found exorbitant, 210 chf a night, in zurich you pay less and get more, so for Baden you can definitely get better hotels for less too.

We were in this hotel with our family for a week to make a trip to different cities. It is a very clean and quiet hotel. In the hotel there were no mugs (important for us with allergies). The family room is very handy for a family. For a further contribution you can enjoy breakfast, we have done so. We also have parking our car (additional contribution). The staff were very friendly, especially Mrs Alla helped us very well, with a very comfortable stay for us.

This guesthouse far exceeded our expectations- Melissa and team have only taken it over in the last month and the work they’ve done already is breath-taking! The service we received from every member of staff was over and beyond what we could have hoped for. The restaurant, the cocktails, the food - everything was exceptional. So glad we didn’t stay at one of the spa hotels- they were nearly 4 times the price but guaranteed they couldn’t have given us the service we received here. We ate dinner on the first night, which was extremely good and tasty as well as having lunch the next day here. Really couldn’t recommend it enough. Make sure to ask to try the Duck Gin!

Stayed for 3 nights whilst travelling for business. I booked from Sunday to Wednesday. The hotel was closed on Sunday evening, but the staff sent me a message and also called to let me know the access code to the building and left my room key on reception. Although it felt like I was the only person staying on the Sunday, I felt perfectly safe. The hotel is fairly new and located on the University campus in Windisch, Brugg. Train station 5 minute walk away. My room, 201 was a coroner-aspect deluxe room - with a kitchenette. The room was extremely spacious and featured a refrigerator, 2-ring hob, sink and utensils - enough to prepare basic meals. For me, the fridge was the selling point - to keep drinks, from the nearby co-op cool. Bathroom had a sliding door and a spacious walk-in shower. Bed was comfortable and there was a large screen TV also. As a single occupancy room, I’m not sure whether this is a Swiss ‘thing’, but only 1 pillow supplied in the room and the duvet was smaller than the width of the bed. Not a problem for 1, but would be an issue if 2 people sharing a bed. I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel as I needed to leave for work early each day, but the restaurant is a high-quality steak restaurant. I ate one night at the restaurant and had the ‘1.0’ burger, which was really tasty. My colleagues ordered a tomahawk to share, which looked delicious when served. The hotel has complimentary bottled water (refrigerated), coffee and fruit located nearby to the elevators on each floor. The area is very conveniently located, but extremely quiet in the evenings - with amenities closing early. I would definitely return when working in Switzerland. Approximately 40 minute train journey from Zurich airport.

Mein Mann und ich waren für eine Nacht im Hotel Engel, da wir in Zofingen eine Veranstaltung besuchten. Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt, und das Hotel ist sehr schön, sauber und geschmackvoll dezent eingerichtet. Schon die Dame an der Rezeption bei der Ankunft war sehr freundlich und das Frühstücksbuffet am Morgen war reichhaltiger und schöner als in manchen 4* Hotels. Wiederum eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Dame an der Rezeption. Wir können dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden es ganz sicher bei nächster Gelegenheit wieder wählen.

My husband booked the River Residence for a business trip which I was joining him for. The night before our stay, we were upgraded to a lovely, spacious junior suite overlooking the river with a balcony. This was a very pleasant surprise. We arrived late at night, there was water in the fridge and coffee in the apartment. The apartment was spacious, warm, very clean and a delight to stay in. The towels were fluffy, toiletries in the bathroom and plenty of storage space. The view from the balcony was lovely and the added bonus of a large umbrella being left for us was much appreciated with the wet weather. Having a safe was important to us and the kitchen was very well equipped. The town is just a very short, River walk away and the 47 Wellness Spa was a 2 min walk the other way. I'd highly recommend this. The use of a washer/ dryer & iron was very useful for our stay also. I would highly recommend staying here and it would be my first choice if I return to Baden. Our apartment did smell as though someone had smoked in it previously but this didn't affect our stay as we often had the balcony door open. Thank you

Das Hotel ist alt, meiner Meinung nach erfüllt es die Anforderungen an ein 4-Sterne Hotel nicht. Die Übernachtung in unserem Zimmer war denn auch der Horror. Keine Klima-Anlage, aber es war auch keine Option, die Fenster zu öffnen, die alle auf die Hauptstrasse zeigen. Check-In sehr unpersönlich via Automat, als wir auschecken wollten, kam die Auskunft, wir sollen warten, irgendwann käme dann jemand, der das könne. Was positiv zu erwähnen ist: Die Zimmer waren sauber, frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche (mit Löchern drin) waren vorhanden. Minibar leider - bis auf zwei kleine Fläschchen Mineral - leer.

We spent two nights in Baden at the Blume. It was very quaint and nice large rooms. The decor was a mix in the rooms, but much more historical in the lobby and atrium style hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet. We took advantage of one of the private hot baths, which are very hot, we would do that again. The food was good. The only odd thing was the pipe/pole running through our room, but it made for many good stories and jokes. We still don’t know what it is for.

Seven wonderful days spent in the Limmathof. Located in a dreamy and quiet area, the hotel offers everything a traveler can wish. The suite in the house Raben with balcony direction Limmat was magnificent. The facilities are tasteful and the room is generous. The wall to the bathroom is of glass, but can be separated with a corner. This is not very close to the sight. The hotel's spa is a welcome change to the neighbouring fotryseven, which is notably overfyld. In the hotel's spa, it has a handful of guests who are more than well distributed in the thermal basin, in the steam bath and in the sauna. Also the fitness made a good impression. In the immediate surroundings of the hotel it has excellent restaurants. The breakfast in the dependance in Ennetbad (5 minutes walk) has not been suitable for us. But that was less at the offer than rather at our eating habits. Fortunately, there was the Café Raben in the house where we had our room. Dreamful coffee, freshly prepared baked products and Müesli every day and a extremely friendly service.
