Motels in Kedah, Malaysia

This place actually is more than just a motel as we know. When we arrived we were surprised to see how big that tiny house inside with a comfy bed, a large table, a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a fridge , a sink, an electric kettle, kitchenware: plates , forks, bowls and and plates, a bottle of dish cleaner. We used our kitchen corner mostly for cooking cereals for breakfast. There’s also a kitchen for common use with stoves , pots and pans near the managers office if someone feels like cooking lunch or dinner. The bathroom is small, together with toilet, the shower gel provided by management, no toothpaste or toothbrushes. In the patio one may find two chairs and a table , clothes hangers as well. The motel is located about 1 km from the Main Street Pengtai Cenang and 1.5 km from the beach, but it’s easy to rent a bike for MR 40 a day and the manager will help you to arrange all the formalities. The receptionist is a very kind and friendly person, always ready to help you if needed. In general, the motel is great place for people who came to chilax closer to nature, looking for peace and calm, away from noise and rush. It’s a great experience of accommodation, without luxury and room service, but full of warmth and positive emotions… something unforgettable. Stay cool!!😎

The room, bed, and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and I was very satisfied with my stay. The air conditioning functioned perfectly, keeping the room comfortable. While parking is somewhat limited, it is extremely convenient as you can park right in front of your room. no picture taken, since a bit rushing in/out during stay

Sadly, this looks like a place that desperately needs renovation. It looks quite neglected, from walls screaming for new paint, to torn bedsheets, to broken pipes in the bathroom leaking water. Also, some things are not as advertised in their profile. There is no 24 hour front desk - in fact, check in is very simple, you come to a desk, and find the key with the sticker with your name on it (it would be nice if they informed guests about this). Also, there is no hot water in the bathroom (even if room description claims otherwise), nor electric kettle in the room. There was also no toilet paper, but after i sent them an email about it (remember, no 24 hour front desk), they brought a roll with an apology. They were nice enough to extend my check out for an hour. But more than just being flexible, i think their business would improve if they invested more into maintenance of the place.

The hotel is on the beach, a very beautiful location, tables overlooking the sea and a gorgeous sunset. This alone is worth a visit for at least a couple of days. There's a children's pool with a sea view. The WiFi worked. There's a local cafe serving dinner. The only refrigerator is in the shared kitchen, and that's a plus. The bed linen was stained. The mugs were smelly and unwashable. It was a family room, and the second bed left only a narrow passage to the bathroom, which was a bit cramped. The toilet leaked. Overall, for this price, it's fine for a couple of nights.

The hotel is great value for money. The rooms are spacious, with a kettle and fridge, and a seating area at the entrance. There were some issues with our reservation, but the staff resolved everything quickly. The location is excellent—it's right in the center of the beach and close to the sea, a 7-minute walk, yet very quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby, and across the street, there's a night market open from 6:00 to 11:00 PM.

The location is fantastic. There are plenty of dining options, shops, and a money changer with good rates nearby, and the beach is close. The balcony is spacious and the room is clean. There are no amenities provided, and a hairdryer needs to be requested. A small bottle of water is included. We saw four wild tarsiers from our balcony, one with a baby clinging to its belly – it was amazing! The downsides are that the free Wi-Fi is weak and constantly disconnects, and there's no elevator. There's also a 50 MYR deposit. Note that the map on Trip.com is incorrect; the Agoda map is accurate.

I chose this guesthouse, newly opened in 2026, for my trip to Langkawi this time, and it truly exceeded my expectations! It's located above the Kawanda Billion Supermarket, so you can just head downstairs for water and snacks – super convenient. There are also tons of food options around, from restaurants to street stalls, making it easy to sort out all your meals without any worries. The owner is incredibly kind, and all the staff are super enthusiastic. They're always happy to answer questions and even recommended many fun local spots and delicious restaurants to us. The room facilities are very new, and both the bedding and the room itself are extremely clean, showing that they truly put effort into running the place. The biggest surprise was the communal kitchen! It's equipped with an air fryer and a microwave, so we could buy seafood at night and prepare a simple meal ourselves, which was incredibly convenient and saved money. The mountain view from the window is lovely; sitting there and enjoying the breeze was very comfortable. It's about five kilometers from both the airport and Cenang Beach, so a taxi ride takes about ten minutes – a very suitable location. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Langkawi; I genuinely recommend it to everyone!

Stayed a night at the hotel. Very clean and comfy room. But the shower in the toilet need to fix cause there is leaking on the pipe. Overall the room are comfy and smells so good. 😍

Quiet location in a kampong. You need to rent a scooter to get around but if you don’t mind it’s perfect as the beach and town are just 5 minutes away. There aren’t many guests staying so you have privacy and the host is very nice. On the whole I’d recommend staying here as it’s economical and good value

Из плюсов: 1) Местоположение 100%, рядом оч классные и недорогие магазины, прачечная, дьюти фри со сладостями, парк Легенда, тц в пешей доступности 2) Есть кулер с горячей водой, утюг, чай и кофе 3) Владелец быстро отвечает по WA по любым вопросам 4) Некоторые номера с очень интересной планировкой, где ванная и туалет отдельно и есть зона отдыха 5) Очень хорошо работает кондиционер и не воняет сыростью (хотя он очень старый) В целом как будто у отеля есть потенциал стать хорошим и комфортным, но есть минусы, на которые закрываются глаза 👀 Минусы (пишу по факту и надеюсь, что прислушаются) 1) Очень грязно, настолько, что даже противно лишний раз класть что-то куда-то. Моя кровать была вся в пыли и в разводах грязи, я как заехала протирала все несколько раз влажными салфетками 2) Клопы!! На вторую ночь меня всю искусали. Далее меня переселили в другой номер, но судя по запаху и шкуркам на кровати, то там они тоже были. Я спала в верхней одежде, со включенным светом, вылила на себя духи, чтобы их отпугивать. А после этого отеля перестирала все свои вещи, включая сумки и косметички. 3) Унитаз при смывании течет и в целом в ванной очень странный запах. В общем все минусы упираются исключительно в уборку. Просто делайте хотя бы раз в месяц генеральную. Вынесите матрасы на солнце, пусть все клопы из-за солнца и жары умрут. Помойте стены, приведите в порядок унитаз. Потому, что персонал отзывчивый, удобства и местоположение тоже класс и тд. Но как по мне, все эти плюсы перекрываются клопами и грязью!! Сделайте с этим что-то
