Japan's Higanbana Hotspot: Aichi Prefecture's Yagami River

Near Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture is a renowned spot for the seasonal bloom of Higanbana flowers. Approximately a 40-minute drive from Nagoya, the Yagami River in central Japan's Chubu region is famous for its Higanbana. Located on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, the Yagami River becomes a spectacular sight towards the end of September. Over three million Higanbana flowers bloom along the 14-kilometer stretch of the river, creating a stunning red carpet along the banks.
