This was the most charming accommodation throughout our tour of Vietnam. It was by the road but hidden behind its wall of greenery. Once inside, we were greeted by a spacious courtyard and garden filled with trees, plants, and beautiful rustic furnishings. The privacy it offered was definitely more desirable than other accommodations where their courtyards were open to full public view. In the night, the garden and courtyard were warmly lit and gave a very cozy feel.
Our room was clean and faced the mountains, and it had a balcony with a table and chairs for guests to sip coffee and soak in the view and fresh air.
We reached early and was given an early check-in as the room was available. Mr Xuan (the boss) and Ms Ha spoke very good English so communication was easy.
The location of the villla couldn't be better. To one direction was the nature where we spent the most enjoyable time cycling through, and to the other was a 5-minute walk to town center for numerous shops and restaurants.
The location was convenient, and so were the arrangements that Xuan and Ha made for us. They arranged the day tour to the places of interest that were further away, and also arranged our transport to our next destination. Very much a one-stop shop, very easy and smooth for us. Would definitely recommend friends to stay here

The most beautiful hotel we have stayed in so far in Vietnam.
Service and staff were spot on and very attentive. Feels more like a home stay I can’t imagine how the staff could be any better.
Two things to mention.
If you’re looking for a good sleep I wouldn’t recommend due to chickens, dogs and other animals constantly making loud noise. I slept with headphones on so in the end didn’t matter. But what to expect when you’re sleeping in the middle of the mountains!
Two -the breakfast is cook to order with limited options so it took a long time to get our food and coffee. Plus the options were unhealthy. Would have been nice for porridge and fruit.
The experience was incredible, felt like a true paradise in the jungle.
We loved our stay.
We would stay again if we visited!

Located in a quiet place.
It is a little difficult to find, but it is a great hotel for healing in nature away from the complex city.
The room facilities are a little old, but the staff are friendly. Bicycles are available for free rental, and motorbikes can be rented for 150,000 VND per day. You can tour all the main tourist attractions in Ninh Binh by bicycle or motorbike.

Dịch vụ tốt, trang thiết bị khách sạn tốt. Tuy nhiên vị trí hơi sâu trong khu dân cư, ít các dịch vụ giải trí nhưng yên tĩnh và không khí trong lành. Nếu ở mùa hè, lưu ý phòng tầng 2 sẽ không được mát lắm (do điều hoa hơi yếu và phòng bị hấp nóng). Hài lòng vì đến chỉ để nghỉ dưỡng.
Good service, good hotel facilities. However, the location is a bit deep in the residential area, few entertainment services but quiet and fresh air.
If you stay in the summer, note that the 2nd floor room will not be very cool (due to weak air conditioning and hot room). Satisfied because I came just to relax.

Территория отеля просто восхитительна — утопает в зелени и тропических растениях. Здесь повсюду раскинулись пышные сады с экзотическими деревьями, яркими цветами и сочными фруктами. Прогулки по такой красоте — настоящее удовольствие!
Персонал здесь просто замечательный — все сотрудники невероятно отзывчивые и дружелюбные. Любое обращение к ним решалось моментально, причём с улыбкой и искренним желанием помочь. Особенно приятно, когда тебя встречают таким тёплым гостеприимством.
Сам номер превзошёл все ожидания — уютный, чистый и невероятно комфортный.
В номере есть всё необходимое для комфортного проживания: удобная мебель, современная техника, качественные постельные принадлежности. Уборка проводится регулярно.
Особо хочу выделить завтраки в отеле — они просто восхитительны! Разнообразное меню включает как традиционные блюда, так и интернациональную кухню. Всё приготовлено из свежих продуктов, с особой заботой о вкусе и качестве. Особенно радуют свежие тропические фрукты, которые подают на завтрак — они сочные, ароматные и невероятно вкусные!
Спасибо за прекрасный отдых! Обязательно вернусь снова!

Homestay qualité hôtel 3 étoiles. Les propriétaires sont adorables et très professionnels. Tout est superbement entretenu et très propre. On s’y sent bien, il y fait bon vivre. Excellent petit-déjeuner. Proposition de tours, location de vélos, lessive, et d’autre services. Ambiance familiale et conviviale. Je recommande sans hésiter. Le rapport qualité prix emplacement est juste parfait. Une bonne partie des sites à visiter sont accessibles à vélo. Prévoir un budget grab ou moto pour vos déplacement hors Tam Coc.

I loved my stay at the Scenic Mountain Ecolodge. Yen and Vin were lovely hosts and made sure I was super comfortable. I divided my stay between the luxury room and the deluxe room. Honestly the deluxe room is better since it has more natural light and is very spacious. Overall it’s a great place to stay and is very close to Hang Mua.

GGuest UserLovely hotel and surroundings, nice and peaceful. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The reception staff are super helpful. We ate at the a la carte restaurant during our stay, the staff there were
less attentive and over the three evenings we were there they forgot items on our order each evening and on our last evening we waited an hour for our food to arrive even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was hectic but lots of choice.

PPeiyiWe arranged private transport from Hanoi hotel to Hidden Charm and the transport was punctual (early in fact). Driver was focused and safe.
Check-in at Hidden Charm was a breeze, they served a citrusy warm drink that I enjoyed. Front desk customer service personnel were proactive in suggesting sightseeing spots at Ninh Binh when we asked for suggestions.
Breakfast buffet was pretty standard with western bread options and Asian pho, fried rice etc.
Location wise, Hidden Charm is very near the Tam Coc boat ticket booth and also offers bicycles for us to cycle to Mua Caves and where the Lying Dragon was. At the entrance to Mua Cave, there will be people trying to get you to park your bikes for a fee, typically 5k VND per bike but we found one close to entrance and charged 2k VND per bike.
Our room was at the 7th floor and comes with a expansive view. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. There was also a bath tub for me to enjoy.
At the end of trip, the hotel staff arranged for private transport to the Noi Bai airport at my request. Again, driver was early and ride was smooth. I enjoyed my stay at Hidden Charm and would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in a clean hotel with excellent service.

Ooverthinking_outloud28I had such a wonderful stay at this homestay in Tam Coc, Ninh Binh. The host was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming—she truly treats you like family. From the moment I arrived, she went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. She gave great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped organize transport, and even suggested changing my travel plans when a storm was coming, just to make sure I wouldn’t get stranded before my next flight.
She was so thoughtful—packing me a lunch for my journey, giving me water whenever I used the bicycles, and even attaching a phone holder to the bike so I could navigate more easily. These little touches made such a difference and showed how much she genuinely cared.
The room itself was very large and spacious, with a comfortable bed. While the bathroom wasn’t the most spotless, the overwhelming friendliness and hospitality more than made up for it. The free breakfast was also fantastic—very generous and filling.
I left feeling incredibly grateful and touched by the warmth I experienced here. Highly recommend staying here if you want a truly welcoming, home-like experience in Ninh Binh.

Each morning, we had the pleasure of dining on the delicious breakfast served by the pool. The varied selection, which included both local and Vietnamese specialties, was the perfect way to start our days.
The service throughout the hotel was truly excellent. The staff kindly provided us with a local map and offered valuable suggestions for activities, including a boat trip, bird watching, and exploring the Old Town. We particularly appreciated their insightful advice on the best times to visit various venues to avoid crowds and maximize our experiences, such as for optimal bird watching.
A highlight was renting a motorbike from the hotel to explore. On one occasion, we found ourselves a little lost, but a quick message via WhatsApp to the hotel resulted in immediate and patient assistance to guide us back on track.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, made memorable by the thoughtful service and excellent amenities. We would not hesitate to return.

Before checked in, she sprayed insect repellent to shoo away all the mosquito. Room is big, toilet is huge, bed is comfortable. Shower pressure is amazing too. Charging outlet everywhere and close to the bed too
Breakfast every morning but I decided to sleep in except for the first day.

GGuest UserIt's a simple place that feels like a home stay with daily breakfast. It's quiet and comfortable. The service is 5 stars. Tommy and his wife are kind, warm and helpful. There are hosts who provide good service because it's their job, and there are hosts who genuinely care for their guests. Tommy and wife belong to the latter.
There are some good restaurants nearby. Must try the roast duck on grill and goat meat. Avoid the massage places - not great. Pizza was just so so and expensive.
Will be perfect if the room has a full length mirror for dressing up and make up, and a floor rug inside the bathroom to dry our wet feet.
