Vega Hotel
4.3/532 Reviews
This was our 4th time at Vega. We’ve been as a couple a couple of times, with my mother in law, and this time with the kids. The first thing to say is that staying in Vega is just that - its all about the private beach and the pool - of you stroll out into Mamaia you find a slightly run down seaside resort that needs some investment. The beach at Vega is lovely, slightly pebbly but nice. The sea is a long way from the hotel as they have extended the beach since we first stayed here but its still nice. Drinks service at your sun loungers is excellent. The beach can be quite windy but I like that in 35 degree heat! The pool is very deep and very nice, no problem getting sun loungers, and the pool side service of drinks and food is excellent. Breakfast and lunch is included in the room rate and is a hotel buffet which is average but enjoyable. The thing that makes the hotel is the staff - they are amazing. Reception, restaurant, and beach staff are really attentive and very friendly, you really feel at home here. The one downside, and why it doesn’t get 5 stars, is that the bedrooms are a little tired. We have stayed in suites and the standard premium rooms and they are all clean and nice but feel like they were last refurbished in the 90s. I can’t comment on dinner as we always get a cab to Constanta to eat out (20 mins taxi). Overall, we enjoy Vega and will keep coming back for the lovely setting and the amazing staff.
Marea Neagra Executive Rooms

Disgusting hotel to have a room.we got there after booking online and payday 400 ron for a family room, wich we were told on the phone it was a apartment.when we got there the bathroom had a bubble jacuzzi type bath wich was mouldy and old grime, the seal was all grimy and dirty the button foe the bubbles was pushed in and looked like it didn't function for years? We stayed there for 2 nights.the next day we went to the beach, when we come back to the room nobody change our towels, nobody come to the room for room service to change the sheets or replace the hlasses with clean ones.Breakfast is not included u have to pay from 80 ron going up.Cofee in the morning u have to pay for it as we'll!! Sbdolute disgrace. The next night cost us 600 ron still no breakfast included. When complained to the hotel stuff she just shake her shoulders and smirked at me and told me I have to wash my own glasses and she can give me sheets but I have to do it myself because the cleaners have gone home and they didn't have time to do our room!!!!.When I complained to the manager she laughed and didn't even said sorry, she didn't care at all. I Wouldn't recommend to anyone to pay to go to Marea neagra hotel in constanta unless u prepare to empty urbown rubbish, change ur own towels change ur own bedding and wash ur own glasses as although is the cleaners job to do it u be lucky if they have time or inclination to do their job. From all staff up to the manager who she is a obnoxious irresponsible manager. The manager and the stuff are a embarrassment for Marea Neagra hotel in constanta. I can't even imagine what the owner is like.Dont go there waist of money.Absolute rip off and Disgusting hotel.

One of the best hotels in Constanta and a very good location for beach and also city sightseeing, the view is amazing and also charming. The location close to Neversea beach is good! The rooms are cozy and sea themed. Also the crew is very friendly.

This was avery nice room with good amenities. The bed was large even though room was on the small side.Breakfast was included and there was plenty of variety. lovely view although there was some road noise but I think it was more some work that was happening rather than the road

Hotel Megalos

Where do I start? A really strange property once opulent and clearly a lot of money spent on its upkeep as it’s pretty grand, marble floors and a classic feel. The reservation staff were ok, as we were blighted by ‘the computer says no’ on our early arrival hoping to check in. Our room was beautifully decorated and in the whole clean with nice interior designed chic decorative pieces, but incredibly the other details let it down, with broken toilet roll holder, grout in need of refreshing, chairs with a tear and paint stain and big lumps of unfashionable dated brown furniture. Such a shame as the room was large and bright and potentially beautiful, but value for money it was. Parking was an issue as it’s in a very busy boulevard, and the pavement outside, broken and uneven, just so many contradictions as I have no doubt that it could once again be something special.
Splendid Conference & Spa Hotel – Adults Only

Impecably clean. Maximum attention to details: no restrictions about using the spa area, you can stay as long as you want, the temperature is carefully controlled on all hotel areas,I felt no disconfort on leaving the spa area to get to my room, they constantly perfume the air , there is low volume music suitable for total relaxation. The room was cleaned every day and the towels, bathrobes changed and shampoo refilled, any demands were met quickly. Breakfast was diverse ,tasty, good expresso. And the massage, amazing.( Felicia and her collegue we're profesional and pleasant). Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel
Hotel Oxford

Loved the room and amenities - all very new and clean. Room quite large with comfy beds. Location is convenient, with easy access to the Old Town and shops. The onsite restaurant - Sofra - has fantastic food. The only negative is the substandard hospitality of the staff, but this seems to be consistent throughtout the places and venues we visited in Romania.
