"It's about a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the busiest street. The facilities aren't brand new, but they are quite clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very welcoming when I checked in and even upgraded my room. If you plan to stay, I recommend booking in advance, as they often sell out on weekends."

The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax. One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. "We stayed at The Langlands for my birthday and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and the rooms are modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true celebration. The only downside was the external car parking. We had to wait 30 minutes for our car to be brought around at check-out, which was a bit of a letdown for such a high-end stay. Aside from the parking delay, it was a wonderful experience!"

"Te Anau is located in the very south of New Zealand, so the whole town has a very laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. There's a supermarket here too, so we bought some steaks and enjoyed dinner while admiring the view outside our window. You can also take a stroll along the lakefront. It's incredibly pleasant."

"The family room's beds, I believe both are two 0.9m beds pushed together, which made them quite large. Parking right outside the room was very convenient. The bathroom was spacious, but a bit empty; it would be better with some hooks. The shower gel and shampoo were in individual bottles, and should have been placed on a caddy in the shower, rather than under the sink. My child didn't even notice them and just rinsed with hot water. It would be even more convenient if there was an additional sink at the mini-bar counter. It's only a ten-minute walk to the Firefly Cave jetty, and about eight minutes to nearby restaurants, which is very handy. VILLAGE INN also has its own restaurant, but we arrived late at 7 PM on New Year's Eve, and they couldn't accommodate us. We were also rushing to catch the 8:15 PM Firefly Cave boat, so we didn't get to eat there."

The room was small being disappointing from other good IBIS Hotels have had bigger. In this case the ceiling had mould which is not good at all being left there. I should have asked to change rooms but stayed in it with little window viewing as well along with ventilation. The hallway stinks of cooked Indian food they need to put in air fresheners to take that bad ordour away. The staff were friendly and amenities were very plentiful. Suggest to have bigger bowls and cups being very little to eat from. Car parking is a problem at this place either on the street paying for it from 8:00am to 5:00pm or over in a mall car park for $10.00 a night. So factor that in if staying here. Better to get a place that provides it as it was a hassle to be up at 8:00am to go downstairs and pay for this each morning. Overall for money and value feel could have done better else where.

Overall, the hotel looked quite clean, but there was a stain on my bed sheet; I'm not sure if it was impossible to wash out or what. The hotel's location is very convenient; it's within walking distance of the firefly viewing area.

Love this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub). The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb. Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

We stayed at The Langlands for my birthday and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and the rooms are modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true celebration. The only downside was the external car parking. We had to wait 30 minutes for our car to be brought around at check-out, which was a bit of a letdown for such a high-end stay. One of the best places we stayed in south island NZ. Firstly the staffs at the receptions are so welcoming, they're one of the highlights of this accommodation. The 2BR room was spacious, clean, modern and located right beside the lake. They're also a short walk away from the supermarket and glowworm office. Absolutely beautiful place! We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a place in Te Anau.

Please inform customers before you change the rooms for them. I had booked mine for the bath, then you gave me a different room on arrival, not even explaining why you had to change the rooms. So I had to see staff at the reception again after checking to sort it out. In the end, i got the room with the bath.I am sorry to say that your place smelt musty that is not right for accommodation for the health and safety reasons. I have also found mould in the bathroom you might want to look at. Hope all gets sorted soon. Thanks. Best.

I would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel. Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.
