The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Tokushima Station. Buses for the Nankai Ferry, Naruto Whirlpools, and even highway buses to Osaka all depart directly from the plaza in front of the hotel, which is incredibly convenient for getting around.
The rooms themselves are quite spacious. I particularly liked the bathroom's separate wet and dry areas – a big plus! Everything was very clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Our Japanese-style room featured wooden flooring, which contributed to a clean look. The only minor downside was that the two fabric chairs seemed rather dirty.
Overall, it offers excellent value for money.
Well located next to Tokushima JR station next to long distance bus terminal. It is also walking distance to the castle site where it was the Sakura blossom season. It is a quasi-service hotel but all the amenities/toiletries are placed at lobby for self-service. Room was clean and breakfast is value at ¥1600
I had a great stay at Hotel Sunroute Tokushima! The staff were the real highlight—super friendly, attentive, and made everything so easy, with no trouble communicating in English at all. The hotel’s location right across from Tokushima Station is a major plus, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for excellent service and a prime spot to explore the area.
The room we booked was a traditional tatami room. Although the hotel is old, it is very clean and tidy. The inclusion of breakfast, dinner and JR Oboke pick-up are all highlights. We arrived at Oboke Station at 7:30 in the evening and made an appointment with the hotel to pick us up in advance. We were the only two passengers getting off at the small Oboke station. We were pleasantly surprised to find snowflakes floating in the sky and moved to see that the pick-up driver was standing by the platform holding a sign waiting for us. The hotel has both indoor and outdoor hot springs. We stayed here for one night and went to Fujibashi and Oboke for a cruise the next day. We didn't have to rush and could soak in the hot springs, which was very comfortable.
Hotel location is good to enter, probably flooded waterfalls to enter.
I went to the left after the attraction. The hotel checked in at three o'clock. I went to the early morning for half a few minutes. The Japanese were very punctual. I didn't check in enough. But the boss did have a few good people. Nice hospitality, I like to count with others.
Dinner is not particularly good, but there is a sashimi chicken, so special. I first eat, but I don’t like it. The raw food is a bit tough, and the cooking is hard and left..
There are indoor and outdoor hot springs, but the outdoor hot spring water temperature is not very hot.
The environment is good. . Good leisure. . . Worth living
The twin room is very comfortable
One bed per person is just right, not crowded
There is a parking lot, you need to go down and ask before parking.
You have to slap it to see it
However, you can take the elevator from the parking lot directly to the hotel lobby.
Not bad 👍 Great on rainy days 🤣🤣
But the parking fee at the hotel counter is 800
The next day payment is 1000🤣🤣
The hotel is located by the river, the environment is not wrong, you can be shadowed around the river, if autumn may be Zhongkai, but the hot spring is less, so old, the supplies are not provided, but the dinner is quite rich and delicious! I have a full score for a dinner. Always a suburb, Japanese-style housing can be.
We came to travel at the celebration of Abo Dance and chose to live in Anan. Because there are fewer people, this super hotel also maintains a consistent high standard. Many details are just right. It is recommended for self-driving travel and convenient parking. Special thanks to Mr. Sugihara & Ms. Excellent service attitude

GGuest UserIf the hostel wasn’t fully booked, I believe it would have been a decent place to stay. However, because of Golden Week, it was completely full. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible—I was woken up countless times. Any noise is amplified several times by the wooden partitions, and the banging noises made by other guests were extremely loud. Even during the day when I wasn’t trying to sleep, the noise level was unbearable. I barely got any sleep at all, and once I was woken up around 1 or 2 a.m., it was almost impossible to fall asleep again. I really hope the owner will consider renovating the building’s structure and seriously improving the soundproofing.
GGuest UserVery good hotel, set in the bay, exclusive scenery, very comfortable. In the morning, sitting in the morning dining room facing the sea, watching the sea, fishing boats and birds, every bite you eat is delicious... unforgettable!

JJenny*v*The staff service is proactive and attentive! Although the lobby is small but well green, there are many drinks provided free of charge, the facilities are courteous and attentive, which is heartwarming.
Highly recommended! Will choose to stay again next time I have the chance.
There are low buildings nearby, the hotel is the tallest, so the view outside the window is wide, and you can see the sunset.
LLhamo Dolma HollandVery nice welcome by the owner and great stay!
The rooms is nice and clean and also the shared bathroom & restroom. The room itself was nice, clean, stylish ((Japese room)
Downstairs you can sit for a tea or coffee (free) so that’s very nice! Opposite the the guesthouse is also a convenient shop. So the location is also nice! We stayed there on the pelgrimage tour. So overall I can really recommend the small hotel! Please try it yourself! Very nice experience!
GGuest UserA nice cheap hostel to stay at. They provide breakfast too which is a big bonus! There are also amenities for cooking your own food. It's the hostel in Tokushima everyone's talking about!
MM14569****Absolute secret place
Location: It is located at the high point of Iya Valley, surrounded by mountains and mist, like entering a fairyland. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to the urinary monk, don't miss it.
Service: The hotel shuttle bus was booked in advance (JR Oboke Station). The driver was very considerate and stopped at the Iya Gorge Observation Deck to introduce and let us take pictures.
Hot spring: It is very unique. You need to take a cable car to the outdoor hot spring, close to the Iya River, and the water temperature of 35 degrees directly out of the hot spring is very suitable for summer. Listening to the birdsong & the rushing river, looking at the green mountains & clouds, smelling the sulfur-smelling air, and immersing your body in the hot spring water, it is very comfortable and relaxing.
Food: Breakfast and dinner are arranged with mountain delicacies, which are beautifully made and worth a try.
Room: The layout is exquisite, and the bonus points are - audio equipment & ”Morning, Dusk, Night” CD, which makes people feel particularly soothing and very attentive.
Service: Active and enthusiastic, you feel at home.
