Quality Inn

Great breakfast. Plenty of parking. Other guests are okay (versus some at motels in SpookLou [Spokane and Valley]). Hotel staff are excellent and considerate. Owners are also excellent! Work out room with free weights. The car park maybe a wee bit difficult for a tractor trailer or fifth wheel with long trailer, yet fine if tractor bobtail. They also clear the car park of snow when the snowfall is done. Easy access to Idaho state route 41 and I-90, though the Idaho 41 and I-90 intersection is weird and treacherous (SLOW the stuff DOWN, way DOWN). Easy access to Post Falls sites and sounds like a Walmart Supercenter, Yoke's grocery, good breweries (Post Falls Brewery, Kaniksu Brewery, Up North Distillery [Honey Spirits!], and bring your MAGA hat Selkirk Abbey)/ WiFi is pretty good. Okay for long term stay with large mini fridge and microwave. Also, I book exclusively through Trip.com. Photos eventually yet see the Google Maps instance for this Post Falls Quality Inn. Better than the Sleep inn, WAY better than the sort of sketchy Red Lion inn on th western side of Post Falls, ID.

Pretty much everything was ok. However, on Saturday morning we went into the breakfast area to eat before leaving. My wife & I both took a cup of regular coffee. When tasting it, it had a funny taste and that really did not even taste like coffee. (I even went back and got a second cup from a different dispenser). It was the same as the first cup, all of which went into the garbage container. I then tried the scrambled eggs. I am not sure how to explain the bland taste - which I am sure comes from artificial or processed egg product. Needless to say they and the tastless sausage joined the coffee in the dumster. We did each have a bowl of rice crispies with milk as our only food items. After we ate, we went back to uou room and made a pot of coffee with the room coffee maker. It did taste like real coffee. We don't travel too much, but this experience will certainly be a fact in picking motels. Curt Crawford
FairBridge Inn and Suites Sandpoint
3.6/5100 Reviews
FairBridge looks like an older hotel, but Management has done a good job of keeping it clean, maintained and have worked to update rooms (finishes, furnishings, digital PTAC's, etc.). My one night stay was comfortable, room was clean and well put together. Complimentary breakfast for a property of this size was sufficient with two Golden Malted waffle makers, cold and instant hot cereals, boiled eggs, fruit (apples this time of year), coffee, teas, milk and at least one juice choice. Though the hotel was quiet on the night of my stay, I would guess given the age of original construction, sound proofing is not likely up to current standards, so if one is overly sensitive to outside disturbances, it may not be the right choice during peak ski season. But for the rest of us, is absolutely satisfactory.
Best Western Pocatello Inn

My wife and I came to town for a concert, traveling with our service animals. This hotel was perfect they have great amenities and very nice rooms. The biggest plus for use was the pet friendlyness of all the staff they are awesome. They put on a great breakfast as well. In fact the friendlyness of the staff and nice rooms and all the amenities, we ended up staying longer just to enjoy our trip and get some relaxation. Place is in a great location as well everything you could need either within walking distance or a very short drive. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. If fact if you are traveling through or just in the area for something and need a place to stay, this is the place. You should most certainly stay at the Best Western Pocatello inn.
Home2 Suites by Hilton Boise Downtown

Downtown Boise
Great location, within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The common areas were nicely designed and clean. The room was clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by the mini kitchenette. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We appreciated the extra towels at the pool. The cons were: the bottom of the pool was pretty rough. I get the need for traction, but it rubbed my kids' feet raw. There wasn't a hot tub. The parking garage attached to the hotel is open to the public, so if there is a popular event happening downtown (i.e. New Year's Eve Potato Drop) the garage will fill up while you were out elsewhwere. Leaving you to have to find somewhere else to park even though you prepaid for parking in that garage.
Super 8 by Wyndham Driggs
4.3/5105 Reviews
Okay, was it really all 5's.. no. but there are few options at this rate in Driggs. The staff was very nice. I think it's bunk that they still blame covid for no maid service daily, but I don't know any hotel that has returned to normal. The room was nice, the bathroom, having one sink in the bathroom and another outside was great (we had a two queen room). The AC worked great, but didn't really need it that much. The breakfast wasn't so great, but it was included and worked well for us on a budget. We did go up to the Rodeo on Friday night just 500 yards away or so, loved it. Also recommend renting bikes and making a day of it at Grand Targhee.
Holiday Inn & Suites Idaho Falls

What an amazing find!! We got a great deal on Priceline. The hotel is immaculate and beautiful. From the minute you walk in, you feel at home. I cannot express how welcoming the staff was as we checked in. The room was newly decorated and the beds WOW, so comfortable. The added accessories (shampoo, soap etc) was a great touch. The spa was heated perfect and a great size. It's outside, but good wind cover. There is a firepit outside adjacent to the spa with really nice comfy seating. The pool is inside and was warm and super clean. There is a burger restaurant inside the hotel. I give it three stars for taste. One star for service. We sat at the bar several minutes while the one bar tender spoke to a friend. Then she grilled me over my id (I'm 60 yrs old lol). She finally said she just had not seen the new California licenses. So may just a Cali hater. But drink was good. We ordered food from our room later from the restaurant. They said it would be 15-20 minutes. We had to call to check on it 50 min later. They said should be on its way. About 15 later it arrived. Order was completely wrong but we were done and hungry so we kept it. They need customer service lessons from the hotel staff haha. All said and done. This will be our hotel stay every time.
Tru by Hilton Idaho Falls

This hotel is well thought out and is definitely worth what it costs. Smaller rooms but everything is useful, and up to date. Comfy beds, great bathroom, large tv, and lots of extras by the lobby (24/7 coffee, pool table, games, fitness room, pool, and hot tub). I’d stay here again.
My Place Hotel Twin Falls ID
4.4/597 Reviews
We were unable to stay here due to dangerous winter storms delaying our trip. The front desk was very friendly and helpful and told us they would be willing to honor our reservation for a different date but we would have to have Trip.com rebook it for us. Unfortunately Trip.com said they were unable to rebook this trip or provide a refund so my only complaints are about this booking service as they said that the hotels policy prevented them from making this modification despite the fact that we directly spoke to the hotel and they were very willing to accommodate us.
Super 8 by Wyndham Idaho Falls

Pictures look great. Hate to say it but true the building was dirty. The room was dirty as in the floors were not vacuumed. Either in the hallway or in the rooms. A terrible noise coming out of the bathroom next door to us sounded like the water was leaking so the toilet was always trying to fill itself up. Was a high-pitched noise as well not sure if that was a refrigerator compressor or not. Walls will not too thick we easily heard the people who are above us. Breakfast don't even bother not worth the effort.
